Seriously, the people we’ve met on Rarotonga have been amazing. One day I ran out of cash at a cafe and the lady behind the counter loaned me her scooter to go to the ATM. That would never happen in the USA.
Then we met Dion & Marcelle. They made it their personal mission to make sure we had a killer time on their island. After a full tour of Raro, Marcelle took us to her favorite cafe for coffee and brunch then she gave us her car!!! Yea. Crazy right?!?
First big adventure she told us to: Hike the legendary Raemaru trek up the mountain. The most famous mountain in all of the Cook Islands.
It’s the first real trail we’ve seen since Mt. Quilotoa in Ecuador (watch it here: www.gonewiththewynns.com/epic..., and it’s definitely the most interactive trail we’ve ever hiked. From the QR code signs, to the hunt for red passion fruit and guava, and the rope assisted vertical ascent to the top…this hike is LEGIT! Beautiful weather, stunning scenery and some
📷 If you’re wondering how we got those crazy vids from the top of the mountain, make sure you check out our top camera gear on our website. If we hiked with a proper tripod, or if it wasn’t so windy, the footage would have been super stable…we just didn’t prepare for that much wind at the top.
Oh, and that bash between my camera and the tree…it’s not the first time that poor Sony has been beaten up on a hike. I can’t believe that thing still works. 🎥
Check out all our cameras used in this video on the blog post: www.gonewiththewynns.com/expl...

I came home this evening after a particularly difficult shift, poured a “sundowner” and adventures with my favorite sailing couple, the mighty Wynn’s. You two have no idea the restorative and recuperative power your videos provide me. Saying “thank you” is not enough. Just know that I can face another day because I can leave it all behind when I watch you explore. 👍😉🥰⛵️
Awe, thanks for coming along & being part of the virtual crew. 😻
Here next to me is my hubby watching whatever he is watching on tv and me…. With my headphones watching your adventures!!! A thousand times better than any huge comercial production!! I’m just super happy I’m still years behind so I can keep watching like 20 episodes a day 😂😂😂😂😂
What an amazing hike with amazing views. That's why we do what we do, to get to those places you can only get to by exploring. Loved that view of the sun shining through the clouds, such a serine and spiritual moment. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Have a blessed and safe day wherever you are!!!
I have found with traveling, that the unplanned and the unexpected, are some of the best adventures! Thank you, as always, for taking us along!❤️💜
You continue to amaze me with your adventures and the places you go. Thank you for taking me along. Safe travel you four.
Wow! you guys, thank you for that awesome hike. As you were describing it at the end of the video, I too said Pacific North West. I lived there for several years and loved hiking in the foothills and mountains. The Cook Islands look amazing. What an awesome way to see the world. Fair winds and safe travels to you and yours. Rae
My Sunday Winns fix, I can finally start my day...What a beautiful place, thanks for taking me there.
cup of coffee in hand, time for the wynns its a sunday win............
Bottle of Beer, but the same idea.
It should be on a t-shirt " I Don`t Know Were I`m Going But I`ll Know When I Get There"
Think 70 years young and living at 5000 feet. Key, think young at heart and stay fit . Thank you for sharing your adventures, I do enjoy your videos.
I hope we’re living our adventure at 70 too...it could very well be in the mountains.
Such great hospitality from everyone on the island! Sure makes a port-of-call even better!WOW, that was a "LEGIT" hike !! and amazing views too! Thanks for taking us on the adventure!Fair Wynns and Following Seas Curiosity!

My wife and I loved Roratonga we hiked the Needle it was a great time looking forward to your next video
What a hike and climb up the mountain. Well done and nice video. Thank you. 👍👍⛵️
Just before you said "PNW" I had just thought it. I love how your music has become more and more relaxed as you spend more of your adventures in the South Pacific. You don't have any thump thump music, which I do find slightly irritating when on other sites. Travel safe and thank you so much for your amazing gift of sharing your world.
Thx for sharing with us landlubbers. I am only stuck for a short time now. It will be like someone left the gate open😜😜🌊🏄🏼♂️🧜🏼♀️
I have to ask , did U2 try the Wim Hof Method I mentioned this weekend. It is perfect fit for your already super lifestyle 🌬🥶❤️🙏🏼🌊🦋
I know how you feel. I lived in Europe for 9.5 years and never went to any English speaking country. Then returned to the good ole USA and had to wrap my brain around full time English again. It took me 6 months to feel comfortable. Great vid. Thanks.

Wow. Your hike up the mountain made me feel as though I was right there with you. I've gotten too old (74) to do that so I thank you, yet again, for letting me tag along. When you got towards the top and were in the wind and light rain it was magical.
Awe, thanks for coming with us!😻

yea, as long as it's not overused I think it's a fun addition to a vid. :)
Incredible views of the tree/foliage covered mountains...they're what I imagine Earth looked like before humans arrived...such beauty ! It makes me sad to think what we have destroyed as a species.... Thanks for the beautiful insight.....
All the best !

And you do this without getting lost ! Wow 😯
Thank you both for another beautiful Sunday. I am up in Montana after a snowstorm. What a contrast !
I am impressed, you get to see everything you can at a time when most Americans think the world begins at the Atlantic east coast and finishes at the pacific west coast.
ha, that is true...
Incredible adventure. Thanks for sharing.
Another wonderful show!!! Love you guys! And thank you (again!!!!)
And them climbs on the trail we’re serious! Beautiful hike tho!
That view at 11:55! Breathtakingly beautiful
🦋 It’s always refreshing to see how you’re amazed by nature’s little pleasures. Thanks for the discoveries thru your camera ! Cheers 🥂
Even in the RV we'd see chipmunks or deer and spend an hour watching them. A lot of people think "oh it's just another deer" but I think the little things are just as awesome as the big ones.
Williams said everything there is to find to make a good life can be found in your own backyard. Others believe it all germinates from inside oneself. In your case your yard happens to stretch far and wide.
Fantastic video once again. Almost felt like I could breathe the fresh air you were breathing. Also glad you didn't get a rash of any kind this time! As a doc, I was so sad watching your journey of healing last time.
I never wanted more until it’s video!!!! What an amazing place!!
A truly amazing place.

What a view! Had a similar experience, not quite as nice though, on a mountain in Puerto Rico in the rain forest. Amazing changes in the environment as you get altitude. Thanks so much for sharing.
