  • I have done a lot of videos working on my Yamaha XJ6 Diversion 2010 but I have never done a video listing all the modifications I have made to this machine!
    Check out my playlists to easily find the videos of the parts you wish to see or just search Spicy110 and the part name.
    This is the first playlist of videos from when I took the bike from stock to mostly what you see now.
    • Project Divi! Yamaha X...
    Then a more recent series working on the bike • Fix the XJ6 Build!

    Interesting video,
    I'm looking to get a second bike and have been considering an XJ6 for a while now, all the mods you have on Divi make them look awesome, and will maybe consider doing similar mods if I get one,
    Especially if it has the original Tail end lol, it really does poke out quite far, Definitely needs a Tail tidy!
    great video Spicy, congrats on hitting 100K :)

    I was considering a DRZ400 SM as a first bike but instead I’ll buy a XJ6 Div S ABS 2011 in January
    I saw the price of the quickshifter... Might add a gear indicator and an aftermarket digital dashboard eventually

    Some cool mods! I hopefully get my next bike soon so I will be doing some mods myself.
    I do wonder if these mod videos are partially an excuse for you to use your glove on a stick, which is fantastic and I love it.
    Poking the rear indicators with it made me laugh more than it should have.

    Bike looks good at this point, though I do think a nice black decals kit wouldn't go amiss. One question though, have you ever considered a topbox for it? They don't look out of place on a commuter-y/workhorse bike like this, especially if you got one with a white lid to tie in, like the Shad ones where you can change the facias on them. You'd still have the flat plate to carry large items, but you'd also have a lockable box for loose stuff without worrying about a rucksack. Bonus of it being a backrest for Reeno too.

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  2 роки тому +1

      Re top box's no, I know how handy they are as I some review bikes i have had, had them and loved it....BUT
      I just hate how it looks and feels when full of shopping, I can never see myself getting one as I just use my backpack. Also when I grab a box of 24 cokes I just use a strap to mount it to the pillion seat works perfectly.

    I have a FZ6 Fazer (the predecessor to Divvy) and I too am looking for the equivalent renthal bars.. have you managed to find some that have the same bend as yet? Also your Lextek levers are they short ones or long ones? Thanks been watching on and off for years

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  Рік тому

      No I'm still on stock bars atm. The levers are 3 finger I think, I don't know what they sell exactly as I was sent those.

      @spicy110 the closest I've seen on forums seem to be either RIZOMA MA001B or Renthal Road Superbike Ultra Low Bars if that's any help

      @@spicy110 Ahh I see the only reason I was wondering was I’ve ordered a 200mm stubby for my Triumph sprint rs 955 and wondered if it was maybe going to be too loud to run without the db as it’s my daily transport.

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  2 роки тому +1

      @@webuser-vk9pq do not get me wrong it sounds great! its just a bit much on the ear on motorways and that is why I have the XJ6 in the first place. The side mount makes it much worse on the rider as the sound refelcts off the central barrier.

    • @webuser-vk9pq
      @webuser-vk9pq 2 роки тому

      @@spicy110 Yeah I do a lot of travelling on the bike, long distance and early starts/late nights. So to avoid the drone on long journeys and royally pissing my neighbours off who I quite like I’ll leave the baffle in. Thanks for the info man top guy
