This was my first encounter with this band and they've been with me ever since... great live band awesome songs, they should have been massive but in a way i am glad they're just ours👍👍👍 Glad they're back!!
Great song. I think that Justin was talking about the isolation that everyone feels. No one can hear your thoughts unless you share them. No one can feel what you feel, they can only listen while you try to describe the sensation.
I remember seeing this....i actually thought it was about 1987 or 1988 as I was watching Meadowbank Thistle at the time and I remember hearing it at the late Cltdebank's ground, Kilbowie Park. Damn, those were the days. Kilbowie was a real Scottish football experience !! Thanks for the memories.... those #HalcyonDays...👌
lol craig, meadowbank.from ferrantis to a poor livingstone.1 of the best bands who never seemed to to noticed apart from the few who loved their music./
did anyone else cop old mate on the left guitar putting the lid back on his hip flask after taking a shot as a the song was just starting... I've missed my calling in life
Drumming not to technical to risk. Yes musicians get pissed off on live tv performances. Sometimes you wanted to do an intimate version. Sometimes you get on a show and there isn’t the budget for a full rig.
Way ahead of its time!
Was thinking the same as I listened today after many years. Predicted much of modern day society

And touring!😎🤩

I've watched this so many times. It gets better every time just watching Justin's shy smile.
Made one of the best live bands ever mine! Shocking!!

WOW 2024 SO EFFORTLESS SO SIMPLE SO AMAZING
The song is a bit of a rant. But when I hear it I love it.
As cool today as it was back then.
Even Terry is miming
This is obviously not live and is actually the studio recording.
For Steve
Challenge - find a Del Amitri performance video which does NOT, at some time, feature Iain with a beverage in his hand .......
would it really have been too hard to play it live?
The drumming is too technical to risk playing live
The musicians don't get a say, honestly a lot of them used to get pretty pissed off
No, the band wouldn't have been able to handle it

Here is a live version of this song.
for some reason this is lip synch to the recorded single...... Del Amitri are more than capable of doing it live but hey TOTP in the 90's levels eh?
Playback!
