If you compare this process to that of a bike like the Tenere 700, you have to wonder why KTMs are so convoluted. I guess that's the price you pay for owning orange. It reminds me of when Yamaha and KTM were doing engine development in Dakar. Eventually KTM had a winner with the LC4. I imagine some of that circuitry is carried over from that race engine.

I always put a small silver tarp down when I do my bikes or 4WD, it keeps the concrete spotless and is super easy to clean with a paper towel

No they actually run better and is recommended to use the 10w 50w semi synthetic oil. The engine will be slightly noisy and in a lot of cases burn the 60w oil.
