I used to have a chipmunk visit daily and I was able to earn her trust like this. She would eat all manner of stuff. But her absolute favorite thing was shelled nuts, specifically roasted peanuts because she knew they would keep longer in her storage fridge compartment in her tunnel. My absolute favorite part about her was when she'd load up those cheeks and she was so top heavy that on her run back to her nest. She sounded like a tambourine as her payload was hitting the ground in stride and didnt lose a bit of speed even with her little back legs hovering off the ground with a full load 😂. I miss that little girl. I hooe that i at least made her life a little better and helped her prepare for when she had her babies. I havent seen her since having them babies. I Hope you were happy little chippy. I could never repay you for you the amount of joy you brought me.
