Rhys had his moment, got his homer and the Phillies still get the win. Perfect day 🤌🏾
Eh Phillies losing would be better but I digress. Go brew!!
#RingTheBell 🔴⚾️
My thoughts exactly. Happy to have been at this one. It had everything I could’ve asked for.
💯🙌
#ringThebell❤️❤️❤️
Much respect from Milwaukee to all Philadelphia fans. Class act and great game. I love this game!
Thanks, Bernie. 🍺
That’s nice of you. We do not hear this often😂
We get a bad rap.. but people who know.... know better.
Amen brother until the last few seasons
Long time Phillies fan here, nothing but respect for the Brew Crew in Philly yall are some great competitors! love when Milwaukee comes to town
The Bat Spike is one of my all time favorite baseball moments.
Its real simple... You give us your all and we'll love ya forever. That's a Philly guy. 🫡
As a Philly fan we all felt an emotional connection to Rhys. Always a good feeling when he stepped up to the plate. Hit so many crucial homeruns over the 6 years with us, broke a record his rookie year too. Good attitude. Perfect example of the players we want to see. It was weird seeing him in a brewer uniform, so weird. He didn't realize the impact he had on our fans. Look at his face, he was about to cry. I even cried. Now, i wish for his success, but not against us. Always a place in our hearts, and i love seeing him bat still. But its time to move on from him. Thats how it goes.
Nothing but love for Rhys.
Philly loves Rhys. That doesn’t change. Puts to bed the claim that Phillies fans are bad. Best fans in the sport! Hands down.
This video definitely surprised me
The media paints an ugly picture, but Phillies fans are unlike any in baseball. This is what happens when a player gives as much as the fans do. Appreciation and love. That's all the fans want! We want the relationship to be reciprocal. Rhys never won any big awards or a championship, but he and his family showed that they cared. (During the playoffs last year, Rhys' wife would buy beer for a whole section of the 🏟)
@@EzraStrayer”Media paints an ugly picture.”
With good reason. People say y’all are “passionate.” That’s a load of crock. Phillies fans are many things. Passionate is not one of them. Y’all boo people if fans drop a foul ball. You would certainly boo a stray cat if it walked across the field. 🙄 passionate? Irritatingly annoying is more like it.
@Southernguy39 yeah we boo. We boo poor effort. We boo bad attitude. We boo opposing teams. But you don't pay attention. We gave mario lemieux a standing ovation twice. We gave trea turner a standing ovation when he was struggling. We gave chase utley and Jimmy rollins standing o when they were with the dodgers. You just see the negative stuff.. it's the medias fault.
Been bad since like the 80s lol. You a new born?
You know the guy was loved when a PHILLY crowd cheers for an opposing player like that.
I was there. Slide started playing and the crowd went crazy! Happy to have our boy home ❤
Growing up as a Braves fan I HATED Philly fans. Now that I’ve matured I’ve come to learn they may be the best fans in baseball and have had made many good friendships with Philly fans
Thank you for saying that. Respect. 🤝
Still hate you guys for knocking us out past two years though 😂 It’s a middle finger 🖕 and a ❤️ at the same time lol. All love brother
@@bodavis4545 haha!
Such a perfect return to Philly. I hope Rhys Hoskins comes back to Philly after his contract is up or he decides to seek another deal after the 1st year with the Brewers. Hoskins loves Philly and you can tell.
How can you not be romantic about baseball? Milwaukee cherish him please. His bat spike lives on in my head forever. Love you Rhys.
One of the really good guys!
Philly fans are something else, man. 😂
We show up
Respect from Milwaukee. Class move Philadelphia.
We love you Milwaukee! Take care of Rhys. Go Phils
chills. I miss him.
Hoskins means so much to us Phillies fans because when he got called up this franchise was sputtering. He brought us hope for the first time in years, was a tough and gritty player on the feild and a class act off of it. Thanks for the memories big fella 🤟
How can you not be romantic about baseball? Let’s go Phils. Miss ya, Rhys. Batslam for life.
I was there, I didn't even hear the walkup music because it was SO LOUD. But such a nice touch to play his song.
As much as i dislike the phillies, I love how alive and dedicated their fanbase is,this has to be one of the best standing ovations i’ve seen in a while.
Last year, Trea Turner got a standing O when he was struggling. These moments give me goosebumps.
I’m not crying you are. Love you Rhys
Rhys, #17
Well come home Philadelphia, CBP!! Always love Philly warm atmosphere🌝
Much respect.
WE LOVE YOU RHYS 🥲 welcome back home
This is why I will always love baseball. So many great storylines!
Wish we could've gotten him a ring
I'm a Mets fan. He's not a villain, he's a class act. Glad he got the love he deserved!
Something about Philly brings out the magic in the game
We all know the only reason that his not still a Philly is because Bryce is at first now
Well Bryce may win gold glove and MVP so tanks for the memories Rhys but it's a success problem phillys not used too
So true. Sad but true honestly!
Yeah but Bryce didn’t purposely push out Rhys at first. I can guarantee that Bryce and every other Philly player wants Rhys on that team. I know I do. But it is what it is
Yes but also largely due to the fact that they signed two DHes in Schwarber and Castellanos, leaving them with 3 including Rhys
Na
One of the best games I ever went to! Miss Rhys lots.
Great to see!
This was a special game to get to see in person, I'm so glad I got to be there.
Saw Jimmy Rollins return to Philly back in 2015. So magical ✨️. Hoskins is the best 👌 though 😍
Best fans in the world! Hands down!
Hoskins is beautiful and Philly will still love him. We don’t want to see him hitting a homer as a Brewer against the Phils but still respect him. Proud of you, kid! Keep shining 🎉💕
100% Class Act # 17 ⚾️
My favorite baseball player 🔥🔥🔥
That's awesome
Love you Rhys! You’ll always be welcome in Philly!❤
LEZZZZ GO HOSKINS!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Even though he is wearing a different jersey he will always be a Philly
We just do things differently in Philly. We add a little extra with EVERYTHING-- hate & love. No other sports city in the world like Philadelphia. Idc what you say.
Mostly hate and very little love.
@Southernguy39 nope, but you keep thinking like that. You take care and Happy Independence Day from the city who celebrated the 4th of July first in America, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania🎇🧨🎆 and GO PHILS ❤️⚾️🤍
Media 2 weeks later " they threw snowballs at Santa " tho
I’m so sick of that. It’s not like it was even the real Santa. It was some imposter.
@@JeremyWashington1489it was a cowboys fan, or at least a cowboys jersey that he covered up with a santa coat then ran on the field. He was getting snowballs thrown at him before that too. Also that is from the 1970s its time to let it go
let's goo Philadelphia
I thought Philly had the worse fans 🥱
That was cool. Not sure if it’s “a homecoming for the ages” but it was pretty cool
One of the high points of the season.
U always welcome Back Rhys. Ur Jersey hangs in my closet next to Harpers 💯
How can you not love baseball? The emotional baggage is too heavy and it's a sport where everyone can get involved. Rhys was an awesome player for the Phils, respect
Why did we have to let him go. He deserves a ring in Philly more than anyone else on our team. Barring we lose the world series, which is very possible here in Philadelphia lol we just have the luck, can we send him an honorary ring? Seriously. Again, pending a championship, He fell just one season short of getting his ring here. That doesn't sit right. Dayum man.
Because Harper had tommy John and left the outfield to play 1st base so he didn't have to throw and was really good at it and is still improving so they had to let him go
@@AdmiringPlayfulPup-we1dxvery good point
Best fans on earth.
Let's hope Rhys ends up back with the Phillies the way Andrew McCutchen did with the Pirates.
There's this strange feeling I get seeing Rhys Hoskins playing against the Phillies. I think he feels the same way. 😮😮😮
Sorry for your loss
I could be wrong, but I'm not sure those were boo's. We used to shout "RHYS" whenever he was announced or homered. Could be mistaken for boo's.
Hope everyone knows the boos were mostly in fun.
No boos. RHHHHHHYYYSSSSSS!
Baseball ♥
I love Rhys. Was very sad to see him go. Phillies sweeping the Brewers was excellent tho.
This is why my son wants to play in Philly, and we are Braves fans😂. He always is telling me and his momma the we will one day see him in baby blue and maroon. We can thank Bryce Harper for that.
I love Reese Haskins and I cheered for him just like I did Dawkins when he came back, Iverson when he came back to Philly and even Victorino , Utley and Jimmy! Philadelphia is a special place. We just have a bad reputation………..
Philly will always be his home and I don’t care what anyone says
I was pissed when they traded him.
That's baseball baby!
This is the Philly I know. Don't let others tell you we are the worst. They are just jealous. You could only wish to have a fan base as dedicated and passionate as this one.
Rarely does that happen in front of a sell out. Well done again Phils fans! Lets gooo!
WS: PHI VS NYY 2009 rematch
🔥🔥
What was the song they played at the beginning?
Loved forever in Philly.
So cool
they weren't booing him they were saying "rhys"
Wheeler did that on purpose to I know it 94 mph down the middle
Go San Diego Padres
Lol Wheels threw that one right in his wheelhouse, no pun intended. That was a gift. Regardless, Hoskins could destroy any pitcher in baseball. Why did we let him go man. Why. God damn
Sacramento boy has done good
How do you not include him stealing 2nd, smiling at JT, JT smiling back and then both patting each other on the backside when JT tagged him out at home? Bad job by you, MLB
Oh man that kid got left hanging baaaaaaad.
Even if we win the World Series this year, I will always say it was a bad mistake getting rid of him.
There’s not another human on earth that would get cheered in CBP after smoking one for the opposing team
Chase Utley did, he homered twice in his first game returning to CBP with the Dodgers….. we all stood both times
I'm gonna let the Homer slide
Carlos correa got bood in his return to Houston lol
You guys normally cheer like this for every returning player?
No!
I considered him a domonic Brown please stop we have one or two good months and that's it
WS 2024 Guardians Vs Brewers
that would be the lowest rated WS ever!
Brewers need more pitching for that to happen. There lineup can be solid when its clicking. But pitching wins in the playoffs and all Milwaukee has is Freddy Peralta basically. The other guys aren't battle tested.
Cleveland on the other hand can be a sneaky favorite. We shall see.
Im glad he left philly
Revenge LOL
The anti counsell
He will get traded to the Phillies at the deadline
🥹🥺❤️
Too bad he couldn’t play LF
Phillies fans acting like humans……this is weird.
We have our moments 😉
Rhys Hoskins getting a standing ovation this big is crazy. He wasn’t even good here.
first? nah i’m just kidding LETS GOOOOO
Uh, hello? Pitch clock anyone?
Cameraman was in the batters box
Teams are allowed to send requests to MLB to have extra time for these sorts of things. Philly obviously sent one which allowed Hoskins to get a standing O
