I've said for several years that she's one who seems to sing quite naturally, and doesn't need all of the industry-driven vocal effects that are so popular... pure & natural...
Thank you technorefugee for putting up this vid, and Irish Day, 2 of my Iona favorites. This one especially showcases that amazing voice of Joanne that hooked me when I heard that Journey into the Morn CD. The imagery and the historical setting of the place is put to music and captured in such a beautiful artistic way.
This is amazing. So cool to see them playing this song right on the site of the ancient monastery on the Holy Island.I am planning my trip to Lindisfarne this summer from the US.
@@paultrussy Thanks for asking Paul. We did get to Lindisfarne but not Iona. I loved it and my only regret was not staying longer. Traveling the islands and the Highlands, I can only imagine how amazing your foot trip was.
THey've been my favorite Christian band since, oh, 1992....THANKS. Joanne's voice is a gift from God.
Joanne has such a lovely pure nelodic voice. Great song and beautiful production.

Been one of my favourite christian songs since I watched this on a repeat of Songs Of Praise 6 years ago!
Thank you Iona for bringing me closer to the Holy Island and it's [the true Patrick] saints [early 90s]!
One of my favorite songs from my ALL time favorite band. Thank you for posting!
Great, not seen this before.

Did you make the journey? In 2014 I walked the 300 miles from Lindisfarne to Iona ✝️

Joanne Hogg-you are so beautifully awesome! xx
For anyone that doesn't know, Troy Donockley went onto play in the hugely successful band Nightwish. His iconic sound is VERY strong in their music
Best Xian band in existence, hands down.
