  • Vanessa Feltz reveals how Mohamed Al Fayed acted with 'increasing impatience and anger' after she refused his advances at a bar mitzvah.
She recalls how the disgraced Harrods boss 'didn't back off' despite her repeatedly declining his offer.
At least 150 more women have come forward with sexual assault claims against Mohamed Al Fayed since a press conference was held on Friday, a lawyer for alleged victims has told LBC.
Dean Armstrong KC told LBC's Matthew Wright that he was expecting more women to come forward with claims against the late billionaire and former Harrods owner.
They were already representing 37 women, meaning there are now around 190 women making claims against Al Fayed.
Mr Armstrong said: "We're already signed up with 37 - we have overnight, certainly in excess of 150 more who have contacted us - we're anticipating that it will be more than that."

It shook me when Vanessa said it could be an estate agent it could be anybody. I am 82 years old now but when I was a young teenager I went to work for an estate agents. It was a small company in Holborn London. The two bosses who were a married couple only came in about twice a week and had a young manager. He was married, made passes and outright asked me to have a baby by him. It was a horrible situation and when I refused he got me sacked from the job by telling the bosses I was not co-operative in my work. I told the bosses the truth and also told them how he was sexually harassing a temporary worker. It was clear they believed me but I was more dispensable than him. I can truly appreciate the fear young women must have felt in such a terrible situation.
I also knew at the time of police corruption where police were taking bribes and lying concerning a family situation. Money has power.

@GraemeWight-wx3xz multiple women have come forward over the last 25 years ,most of them were very young and in their teens when he assaulted them . Women decades apart. The youngest was just 15. Think about the women and girls in your life . Would you think they were lying? A rich ,powerful man is able to protect himself and surround himself with people who will keep his nasty secrets for him ,people who look the other way if they are paid enough. If you watch the documentary, it isn't testimony from the victims alone (although that should be enough). Management at Harrods, security men, and people close to him on his payroll finally speak up. It happened in Harrods, in hotels he owned, in the villa in France. He wasn't an eccentric maverick who or a charming genial employer. He was a predator, a monster who abused his power and position in a tale as old as time .

In my life I have come very close to the "wealthy elite ".
My girlfriend at the time (1990/96) was a P.P.S. in chief to a Arab sheikh , she was English blond beautiful and young.
Her duties included arranging world wide visits to the very highest events including U.S. presidential inorgerations.
One of the duties was to supply women for,
    'entertainment' on these trips.
I was uncomfortable with this part of her job then one day she told me she had been sexually assaulted by a one of her bosses cousins.
I tried to persuade her to report it to the police but she declined because she was on a mouth watering salary car and huge flat in Kensington.
I could not get her to see that this was criminal but I understood why.
This is so deep and I am so proud that these women are being heard finally.
The real question now is whether anything will be done but trust me l know what is being said is true .

I feel like I’m reeling with all these stories about these male monsters. It’s been one after the other and it’s sickening and makes me feel so incredibly vulnerable. We have a huge responsibility to teach our sons better. To those awful men who are thinking they’re getting away with it, not for much longer, you are going to made to answer for the despicable way you treat women and make them feel. To the decent men, there is a responsibility on you to call out indecent behaviour from your friends/coworkers/acquaintances/family. This scourge needs to be stopped.

Vanessa's recollection of events, involving Mohammed Al Fayed show the effect, and differences in treatment, depending on the power disparity at play. Obviously, MAF was an incredibly wealthy man, who was accustomed to manipulating and imposing his will (particularly, noted by other accounts, on pretty, blonde women); however, on this occasion, despite his best efforts, Vanessa Feltz had enough power; as a wealthy, married woman, and media star, in her own right, that she could still rebuff him. I dread to think what occurred to 19 year old nail techs and make up artists; cornered at a staff party...

Regarding his racism, I worked for years for display companies that specialised in window mannequins. I worked many times on Harrods windows and only when Al Fayed took over were we aware of an edict that no black mannequins must ever be in the windows. Even when they had a Christmas window scheme one year where each window was dedicated to a different country there was an African window (yes I know it’s a country not a continent🤷🏼‍♀️), but we had to use pale coffee coloured mannequins to represent ‘Africa’. Crazy and repulsive.

Allegedly I heard rumour from agency staff that certain staff members were sent to the stock room and do stock takes. On days al fayed would visit the white and black halls. And if he saw a black member of staff would be heard shouting ‘gets the monkeys off the floor’. It’s more to do with the senior managers and the al Thani under writing Harrods for years allowing the front man. And Harrods is the same place….
