Summertime and summer tourist season. It's a bit much.
Imagine seeing this great city off-season. It might be cool or cold or even rainy but it will be even more special. Try late fall -- just bring a nice sweater and coat. You can buy an umbrella there if you need one.

Very disappointed. Rude, expensive and smelly. retailers and vendors constantly trying to gouge tourists.
Charged 12 euros for an ice-cream ( my fault for not asking the price first) and 5 euros to use a toilet.
heaps of aggressive touts selling nasty cheap paintings and selfie sticks. Do yourself a favour , skip it and try some less ell known cities and regional towns
