I love those chairs.Thank you so much for sharing♡ My home was built in 1830. I've been working on it a little at a time for 6 years. My style is cottage with a little modern decor here & there. Love seeing people making their home theirs instead of following trends. I appreciate you taking time to share your finds for those that share the same taste & would like to incorporate something they see in your home into theirs♡

Curtains, kitchen linens. Also look at their area rugs. Amazing prices. I got a huge beautiful sisal rug for $129 Canadian. Everyone always comments on it.
It's a great place to pick up items to DIY as they're so affordable.
Don't forget a cinnamon bun too!!!

How I wish there was an IKEA Store in my State! LOL!!! I love everything that other ladies share in their homes from Ikea and the prices are incredible ! I watch Sarah Richardson and she takes us shopping with her for client’s home at IKEA... she is in Canada and I drool when I see everything!!!
I have an addiction to glass Cloches! I use them in vignettes with picture frames under them, old wood industrial spools with vintage ribbon, figurines, covered books in pretty scrapbooking paper on them,. etc! At Christmas time I use my very large one from Potterybarn for my “ white Nativity Set “ under the glass. I love it! My daughter’s baby shower I used them as the centerpieces with vintage baby shoes , a string of pearls and in the shoes I placed pink rose buds . Then I placed a lambs ear wreath around the outside of the cloche... it was so pretty! So.... hence my addiction.... I have 8 just from the Baby Shower 💕. Each guest had a mini glass cloche with a “Welsh Tea Cake” inside... oh are they delicious! I could go on and on... I see glass cloches and my heartbeat speeds up!
I love those pillow covers! I know many women get those and stencil on them or paint a scene! And the covers are always from IKEA because of the great quality!
So... LONG STORY SHORT ( sorry for the huge comment) I don’t have anything from there. But I certainly wish I did! The dishes are beautiful also that you have! MAYBE it is good I don’t have one near me ?
I so enjoy your videos and visits from Michigan to Central New York. ( my Pastor grew up in Michigan and his Father is a Pastor up there! ). God bless and have a great “Mother’s Day”.

Absolutely agree on the quality of their feather down cushions and pillows. I have these at home alongside the tea towels, faux florals and cloches. My favourate bedding set is one of their linen line, is oatmeal colour and so soft. Love their natural flat woven rugs, but hands down my most favourite are their fabrics, the quality is super 😊

My husband and I used to live near an IKEA back in the late 80's in N. VA, we never went, then we moved to AZ and we went and it seemed like an expensive furniture store but we must not have looked the whole store over! When we moved back to VA we still thought it was super expensive until I started hearing about it on UA-cam. Fast forward to VA our nearest store is 2 hours away in Woodbridge so we never go there, well back in March right when the virus hit before the restrictions my sister and i went and Oh my stars we racked up. i got faux plants, kitchen food storage and cereal keeper because I had just done a pantry makeover, a light kit, recycle shopping bag etc, my sister got a beautiful cutting/charcuterie board and space bags. I have to go back this Summer!
I really need some cloches and more faux plants and the live ones, and more pendant light kits. I love to make pendant lights out of unusual things. THE PRICES CAN'T BE BEAT!!!! We also got lunch- swedish meatballs for me!

Suggestion for small cloche, if you have cold butter but need it soft, put the wrapped stick of butter on a plate and cover with the cloche, the place in a bright window for several minutes or until the butter is at the softness you need.

Yep, I am a northerner who has lived in FL for 30 years, and 64 degrees is YOUR summer and OUR fall and winter. So funny. Use sunscreen to ward off later in life wrinkles, not to mention skin cancer; your complexion is so gorgeous so do protect it. I am 69 so I have NO IKEA in my home, but our daughter just moved to Montreal and she is buying some IKEA pieces for her new apartment. When we were starting out in the 1970s, our "IKEA" was unfinished furniture, usually pine. We still have a pine twin bed head and footboard, I work at a pine one drawer desk holding my computer, printer and keyboard, and so on. Much of our furniture is passed down in our family like cedar chests, or bought by us as we were able to afford it. Solid cherry and pecan, for example. It's not all white and cottage-y but I sure do love the look of your home. The north tends to have very gray days in fall, winter and spring, so mostly white adds some needed brightness to northern homes. One question: if you have children do you allow them to snack in your living room? Even with slipcovers you can wash, they can get spotted and dirty. I guess eventually you just get a new white cover.....in the olden days, housewives had white covers for upholstered furniture which they would put on for summer which must have been a nice change. Then in fall they would remove them for winter as they brought in the wicker from the porches and so on. They would transfer the outdoor wicker into their conservatories if they happened to have them. Nicer Victorian homes often did have a conservatory or at least a bump out for housing outdoor plants in winter....three-sided bays in a dining room, library or even LR were a strong feature of a Victorian home. Now I am going to go on the IKEA website to see those goosedown pillow inserts....I can remember my Mom in the 1950s actually opening up our goosedown bed pillows in spring and WASHING the feathers, probably mostly chicken feathers at the time. She would spread out the wet feathers between two large window screens to dry and then restuff the laundered pillow cases. I guess this was one way housewives back then would deep clean their homes after all the illnesses of winter -- measles, whooping cough, TB and all. I can't imagine being that meticulous. It was one reason why they used metal bead steads...they were easy to take apart every spring and scrub them with disinfectant, reassemble, etc. You had to be very particular about every nook and cranny where germs could lurk, b/c there weren't vaccines for these childhood diseases.

Love Ikea ,we have one just a few miles from us. We recently purchased two of their 3.5 white slipcover sofas. Both my husband and I are tall and these were made for taller people ,the seat cushions are much thicker which I’m a huge fan of and the 3 cushions are deeper and wider. Very affordable price as well. Can’t say enough, I also love botanical prints and had several that I had purchased else where but, really needed to find affordable frames as the plan was to frame up 20 of the prints, I must say you can’t beat the price, I was very pleased. Thanks for sharing ..Take care and stay well...🌷🌷🌷

Wow, this video has indeed opened my eyes... Firstly, though I live in South East Asia, there are two big IKEA stores, both are within 30 minutes drive from my house 😅 that's why it's nothing unusual for some of us to visit Ikea weekly (that two IKEA stores nearby are adjacent to shopping malls, so you don't just go there for home decor). However, the items there are what I would say definitely not cheap nor affordable... To most Malaysians, IKEA means expensive. Cheers from Malaysia 🇲🇾🥰

Delma _Monk I'm Canadian. We pronounce it the same way the French do. Probably because it's origin is French? When I google it, it sounds the same. Perhaps you don't have google as a search engine. I can't think of another English word it would rhyme with. The 'o' is like the 'o' on 'cloak.'

I have a couple Ikea chairs that you can change out the slipcovers on and have had them for years. They hold up incredibly well, and if they get stained, I throw them in the washer. They wash up well. If I want to change out the colors or the cat decides she wants to use the chairs as a scratching post, I can buy other covers. I believe Ikea's furniture is as good or better than what you'll find in high-end mall shops. Pottery Barn, for instance, makes an almost identical white slipcovered sofa as the $499 Ektorp from Ikea for $1,500! And the Ektorp in different colored slipcovers costs even less than that.

When I lived in South Florida we had an Ikea in Ft Lauderdale and one in Miami, 10 minutes and 30 minutes from the house. Now that we've moved to South Carolina, it's a 2 hour drive to the closest one in North Carolina. I'm sad that I can't just stop in on my way home from work to decompress or pick up something pretty or cool. I live way out in the country now and have a friend/neighbor that has never been to IKEA. I'm planning to take her up there and watch her go crazy. BTW, in my current home, I've got 9 of the Billy bookcases that I have on the back and front walls of my studio/office. We put crown molding across the top, baseboard along the bottom and two inch furring strip between adjacent units so they look built in. In my craft room, formerly the dining room (but can be switched back for company) we took one of the narrow (Billy?) units and laid on it's back under the window, put a plywood top with hinges to make it a bench seat and then used a Billy wall unit on each side with crown and base molding, and now I have a" built in window seat". I bought a bunch of the Ikea pillow covers and inserts to use on the bench in lieu of making a solid padded foam bench top. (Does any of that make sense?) Long story short, I love that store! PS: I'm looking forward to going next time with a friend instead of my husband so I can take my time and explore.

It seems to be a very common expression in the U.S. I was surprised when I first heard it, but the more youTubers I watched, the more I realised it is just how they express, “picking up” or “buying”. It makes me cringe but it’s just a thing over there.

I’ve never been to Ikea! There is one in Dallas but I don’t even live in Texas. Lol. I love ❤️ your home and your cottage style too. You might already know but there is a Decor Steals, they have decor items that are pretty good prices and everything ships for $5.00. You might like some of the steals. Looking forward to your next video!😍

TFS !!! Those Pillow's with the Tie's, Look much Better, with Wooden-Button's on them. There are Different Shade's of Wood to Choose from. A Cottage Style, for Sure. You could Remove the Tie's. The Tie's, would Get On My Last Nerve. 😊 Would Like to SEE a Tour of IKEA. We're in Vegas. We had one Close to us, year's ago, and then they Moved to the Other Side of Town.

Love Ikea too but rarely go as it's over an hour away and Atlanta traffic is a nightmare.😁 The carnations really do look real!

I'm jealous! I live in SW USA no big cities, hence no IKEA 😕 I think my bank account would be in trouble if that store was close to my home...

newly subscribed. I too love the cottage decor Ikea has. I am about 3-4 hours away to te Canton store we are up on Lake Huron side of MI. I have about 8 of the Billy Book cases with glass doors on them, the cloche you showed, and the square baskets. syrup pitchers, plants, and a host of other goodies. I have been an IKEA fan for many years.

I moved from a city where IKEA was 25 minutes away to a town where it’s now 90 minutes away 😩 I can definitely relate. You’ve got to be committed to go! Love your wall color behind you. I’m looking for a warm white. Would you mind telling me what color you used?
