Hi, Fia, I just love your projects; so happy I found you. Utterly inspiring. I want to make the coffee filter art and wondered if you could estimate how many you used? Even an approximation would be amazing. Thanks from Canberra, Australia.
I love your ideas. I certainly wish we had thrift stores like yours in our area. One thing to sort of switch out or change up the embroidery hooped lace is to place rooms accent colors behind the lace. It helps the patterns in the lace, pop. Also, a cork board in the same bedroom as the framed lace. You could use the lace on top of the cork with a picture of the family pinned inside. Glad to have found you, today. Keep up the great work!
AGREED! I totally fell in love with that look and it is SO tactile which I LOVE. I have a ceiling to floor fireplace that my Daddy made for me before he passed last year and it is of Cream stones with fossils in the stone. It’s so cools and it takes up about 60% of the wall with 20% of plain wall on either side and kept thinking that I need a very SOLID as in grounding piece of art there and I was going to wimp out and put up some of my own photos and print them in B&W but ….yaaawwwnnnn….boring. Then I saw THAT and at first the volume was down and I thought it was GORGEOUS and then I backed it up a bit and it’s COFFEE FILTERS? WHHHATTT???Noooooo. And I kept looking at it and looking at it as my husband walked by and said, ummmm, no way are we spending that much on art for each wall! I think I won’t tell him and just do each one when our shifts are different. I wish I could think of a way to make them each a bit different insofar as the color of them goes…..I don’t want “matching pieces of Art” but if they were similar but different COLORS that would be cool however HOW would I “color” them? I thought of misting each one with different and varying darknesses of food coloring……diluted at different stages and just misting the “tips” but if anyone has any ideas I am open!!! I welcome your ideas. I even thought of using something other than coffee filters but l an drawing a blank…..pun intended LOL!!! Fabric squares? Gauze? Help????
Where is the link for the clear coat on the abstract painting? I don’t see it in the description box. I’m so glad I found your channel- everything you make is lovely! Thanks for sharing!
Love everything you do! Everything is just so clean and high end. Just a tip to make sticking the coffee filters to the board easier...use a pencil or a piece of thin dowel inside the filter, it will save your fingers and make it easier to push the filter onto the board. Greetings from England.
Say What!! 100k subscribers!! That's amazing. Congratulations!! Great job with all these diys!! I definitely want to try the canvas art work. I have a hard time choosing art work because I prefer it more neutral and your ideas were perfect for me to try. Have a nice week!!
Love the 1st mirror, I have one but don't know what hardware to use to hang such a heavy mirror, please share what you used if possible, please and thanks.
Great inspiration Fia. I am bought about 6 packages of giant coffee filters a while ago from the Goodwill. I would like to try making your design with the hula hoop. It's amazing how just using an old stick or bamboo with twine and clothes pins can really make a unique art piece. Have a safe week. 🤗🤗😗😙❤❤
Sand more of the back of the mirror and use the mirror spray lightly on some of the sanded spots. Or sand a lot of the mirror spray a mixture of vinaigrette and water on those spots and spray some of the mirror spray on it. Two distressed mirrors or antiqued whichever you want to call it.
Love the filter art. I’m going to do some coffee and tea dying of some of the filters and scatter them randomly giving a tie dye-ish effect. Thanks for the great idea! 😊
Really great ideas. I just subscribed. Want to make the embroidery hoop with a lace tablecloth I got at a yard sale. Or maybe several smaller ones around a lace collage I have. Thanks so much! 😊
Thanks for all of the ideas. My favorites are the round mirror, coffee filter wall hanging and headboard. I do not see the link for the artwork varnish?
Wow, the mirror is stunning. I learned how to fix them now...The coffee filter project.... I can't see coffee filters anymore but it turned out wonderful for Mila's room. I will always love the branch headboard and hope you can give me advice on how to best do a project with branches in my house... Consulting fees?
Hey FIA 👋 Love! I've been thinking of doing the last one, I got a beautiful vintage bath Matt that I'm contemplating framing it, just been looking to find the perfect frame! Love ya girl❤
It's SHAME to see how term Abstract Art is manipulated by many sessional craft makers. But then Now a days in name of Abstract Art anything works (Right)
Did you just use your good fabric scissors to cut NOT fabric?! I know some sewists who would have a double quadruple heart attack if they had seen that 😂

OMG that mirror is a show-stopper! WOW!
After looking glass spray spray black paint. It’ll help to make the silvering more reflective instead of transparent.
Thanks so much Katie!!
I have been making abstract art with black canvases and white latex caulk. So much fun!
Every thing so great!!

Love ya girl❤
Yay!!! That’s awesome Carrie!!
Easy and very nice
What did you use for the frame around the canvas abstract art?
I don't see where you linked the video for the diy floating frame
Leave the spots on the mirror. It shows that the mirror is old and a quality piece, as opposed to new, modern junk.
Would love to know how many coffee filters were used.
💓
How many coffee filters did you need to make the artwork#3? What was the diameter of the hula hoop you used?
How did you mount the mirror?
Hi Patricia!! I used D rings to give it the weight support it needed!!
Not finished watching your video yet but on the mirror, now spray paint some black paint owner the spots you sprayed the mirror effect.
Ooo okay thank you so much!!
