Located at an elevation of 1,478 m above sea level this is one of the favorite weekend getaway places for Bangaloreans.
This road has decent hairpin bends and takes around ~20mins to drive all the way to the top gaining an altitude of ~500m from the base.

Nandi Hills is now open for tourist from 1Dec 2021, it was closed for almost 3months after land slide. Visitors can visit only on weekdays for now unless you have booked hotel on hill.

Yes, cops will be there most of the time especially during morning checking vehicle documents and helmet.

You can go if have good grip on 1st and 2nd gear (clutch and brake) in case there is traffic in steep slope
