I've tried this look. It looks good on some people on instagram but I've never been able to pull it off.
I like the way Chris pulls it off. Not everyone looks so good as he does. Perhaps a tricky look to put together but nice when done well.

I would never have done this when I was younger but now I am firmly in my 50s I wear it occasionally
Unstructured sport coat and hoodie in colder months is ok for a college student, casual with friends, or weekends day time errands. Not for a date night, day at work, or anything that calls to dress more formal.
People can talk themselves to do anything, this video is a good example of talking yourselves to do something not that good.
But still good?
In this instance I would prefer a wool hat, flat cap or fedora.

It's a look thats not for "Everyone". I wear this look with Loafers, Sweatpants and Rugby Striped Shirts and Rugby Hoodie's with 48 inch Long-line Overcoats primarily made by Polo Ralph Lauren. I am also 6 ft. and 160 lbs., so the look goes well with my physique and I get a lot of compliments from men as well as women. 😊

I actually wore a navy hoodie with a camel overcoat in London. Comfortable and perfect for the chilly day.

I am beginning to enjoy watching this channel. I'm not the most sartorial or stylish, but very intrigued and interested in presenting myself better. As far as the "Hoodies + Tailoring".....yuck. Chris seems to have pulled it off, but when I see most people wearing this, it looks like you are either trying to hard, or just plain unappealing.

Gentlemen, I know you like to challenge your subscribers and viewers, but this sartorial idea comes straight out of the April Fool's playbook. What is the point of wearing a beautiful overcoat or tailored jacket, if you are going to completely spoil the look by wearing a hoodie underneath it? What is wrong with a cashmere scarf and a proper hat? You are joking, aren't you?

What next…a nice pair of gabardine trousers with beautiful leather belt, hanging in the middle of the rear-end with underwear exposed?
The trick is to throw the jacket on on top in bad weather, not ruin a suit or outfit by slipping a hoodie underneath

Many of us followers and customers of Rampley had once percieved Rampley (and other iconic haberdashers in London) to be icons of traditional menswear. However, lately, Rampley's videos have declined in propriety and dignity. "Hoodies" ... derived from the name "hoodlums" perhaps ? Perhaps Rampley should pay that Austin character enough to go get a shave. He's got at least a month of beard growth. NOT a gentleman !!
