To me, when Jamie prayed for Claire in Gaelic while she slept (before Culloden) was definitely one of the most romantic things to happen on the show. It was such a beautiful prayer honestly the sweetest thing ever 🥺😭💗
One of the most romantic moments to me is one that is never talked about in the show is when Jamie sees Claire in her wedding dress, and he walks up to her hand over his heart, and bows then says "Your Servant Madame" he pledges himself to her before the wedding vows.

They seems very real, almost like we shouldn't be watching. All thats already been said and one of my favorites is when Clair tells Jamie the truth after witch trail. When she asks him if he believes her and he says "I believe you sassanach , though it would have been easier if you was a witch" the cheeky look on his face melts me x
I loved when they were sitting on the hill touching each other's hands. Jamie asks...Is it always like this? The electricity between them is what he was referring to. ❤
What transpired afterwards was even better, until the deserting redcoats interrupted them in the middle of his rutting and spoiled this most hot of romantic moments for them. Poor Jamie must be totally frustrated over the years with so much coitus interruptus caused by the constant arrival of unwanted redcoat third parties right in the middle of getting it on with the love of his life.
I love when Jamie presents Claire with the new wedding ring made from one of his mother's silver candlesticks. The wording inside said, "Give me a thousand kisses" and they begin counting kisses.🥰
Every scene that Claire and Sam are in is memorable. They bring such true emotion to every performance. I can't imagine anyone else playing these roles, they are amazing actors. This is the best series I have ever seen or probably will ever see..Thank you DG.......

Joking about how they were once like Fergus & Marsali, touching each other in public all the time. Then the just totally locked eyes… it was so palpable. Somehow, my favorite romantic scene is when she started crying and he put his arms around her. And much, much later he tells her that was when he knew that he loved her.
I love the wedding scene but to me it was more about physical attraction then love. I have to go with the scene at Lallybrock, when Jamie tells Claire the reasons why he married her. The romantic words spoken when he tells Claire that each day he wakes up loving her more than he did the day before. Claire reciprocates by telling Jamie that she loves him. Beautiful!
My husband and I have been together 45 years, and I love him more every day. We always kiss each other before we go to sleep and say "I love you." In fact, we say it many times every day. Today is his 70th birthday, just praying we will live a little longer every year. He's my everything. ❤😊
@@suzannchurchwell6537 Congratulations to you both. I'm sure you had your ups and downs, which is normal. But you didn't give up like most people do these days. I love my husband dearly too. I too, hope we grow old together until death do us part. We're going on 17 years strong ❤. I hope you have many more years together!
It’s hard to choose one. They are all my favorites, thank you. It was a treat to see them again. Perhaps the one that broke my heart was the night he gave Claire the gift of completion. Not for himself also, just for her only. It was a gift of total love to remember him by, for the future. That lasted twenty years. So I believe that was, in my opinion, the best and most unselfish gift.
I saw that differently. Married to both men still, until she chose one or the other of them, he considered her Frank's wife and he wouldn't cheat into another man's marriage. (In the book it explains that's why he's still a virgin. He wouldn't take the risk of burdening an unwed girl with a babe she couldn't feed and possibly leave his own child to die of neglect, and he wouldn't disrespect another man's marriage by taking a married woman.) Still, he was just self serving enough to want to give her pleasure to remember him by.
Don't forget season 5 after he's rescued her. He's standing stiff and straight, armed and on guard while Clair has been washing in the creek. Her wounds are still bruised and seeping, but she's clean and wearing his plaid as she's done so many times over the years, and he's standing vigilant, ready to kill to protect her no matter what. I imagine it would take real angels with flaming swords to get between him and her. Giving your lady roses is romantic, but giving her enemies ruination is even better.
I don't know how Cat and Sam can go back to real life when they have such an amazing make-believe life together. Real life for them surely cannot compare. I wonder...
Sooooo many (it’s the most romantic thing ever done in my opinion) but the scene where he saves her from drowning and kisses her all the way up just makes me melt. Of COURSE Jamie would do that!
After the spanking and she was snubbing him, refusing her bed. The night he came in and gave her the fealty oath (did she know how a man just wouldn't do that for a woman in those days?). "Is it not enough Clair? Do ye no want me anymore?" Just breaks my heart!! But she gives in and says she doesn't want to live apart. He says, into her hair, he wants her so much he can't breathe. (Or does he say he loves her so much? It's so quiet I can't tell) "Will you have me Clair?" "Yes, yes I'll have you." That boy comes out of his clothes so fast you'd think they were on fire! LOL
Did anyone notice she called him Sam in that scene. After the question "will you have me and he kisses her " and she says yes SAM. I couldn't believe it. I was taping that show and I replayed it afterwards to see if I'd heard right. I did.
@@mary.gcarpenter1490 No. Didn't hear that. I'm going to go watch it again (oh, what a hardship, to watch for the 20th time, my favorite clip.) right this minute.
Ok, did just that. Ran right off and played it again. Turned up to max volume. He DOES say I LOVE (not want) you so much I can barely breathe. But she says "Yes, I..... yes I'll have you." The ending s on yes gets dragged into the I, then she starts again to say the full "Yes I'll have you. Makes it sound like a very quiet Sam. But I'll just pretend I didn't hear it right and say I heard what you did. It's more romantic in two worlds, reality and fiction, that way. You try it again turned way up, let us know what you think.
i love the scene when they were fighting after when Jamie rescued clair from black randall. It was so emotional when Jamie said that he went there with an empty pistol and with his bare hands. Wow that was intense. and of course the steamy hot scenes lol
In a live TV interview Sam gave great advice to to all males in the show audience and in the fan base that “honesty is the best aphrodisiac” and exhorts men in relationships never to lie to their ladies. You are SO right about that, Sam. Comments like that, even made off the cuff and totally unsolicited, are why women’s hearts in your fan base beat faster for Sam Heughan and his delightful Jamie Fraser character and why we ADORE you so much!!!
My favorite moment of the all serie is when murthagh go at the” kid “Jamie on the first episode of the season 5 or…4, and he promise for the name of God then he would protect Jamie forever, when he mom died ❤️
Moments like that and when he said goodbye to her by the stones, saying he'll find her even if he has to go through 200 years of purgatory... it just brings you back to why that 'ghost' was longingly staring at Claire in the first episode.
@@e_G_o_05 she found him in the print shop. Wonder if we will ever know why that ghost was watching het through the window, they had not even met. I have my own thoughts on that but will have to read the books or keep watching the show to put it all together if i ever get the books read, print is awful small and my eyes are not that good
Me too! Pure fantasy right out of the steamiest romance novel. With the addition of Sam’s beautiful Scottish accent, I melt every time watching this episode.
It’s hard to choose, but I will say this, the part where the are reunited after 20 years and he asked her if he can kiss her, it reminded me of the time that my fiecee told me that he wanted to kiss me the first time, Jamie and Claire show the audience how love between a couple should be, I totally agree that the best Relationships are when a couple starts out as friends first , that’s how my fiecee started and we are still together and we were also long distance for awhile
These are all my favorites as well, but add the final moments at the end of Season 5- when they're in bed, cuddled and he says "you're a brave wee thing" - then asks how she feels - and she says, "safe."
@@skincraftorganicsllc8537 I shall watch it again at some point and see if I still feel the same way, often I get a different perspective upon further observation. Not to say too much, but after being raped as she was she would barely want to leave the fetal position and not open and uncovered he would have to be wrapped all around her for her to feel safe, not just lying on top of him, or so I felt. I cold be wrong, people are different.

I love how the producers of the Outlander series have worked so hard to show that true love beautiful romantic scenes can be just as steamy and emotionally touching between older couples as they are between young and beautiful characters. Bravo and well done, producers and actors!

I just found this post and it is three years old but enjoyed watching it so much! I’m late in coming into the Outlander universe but not less passionate about it as many fans are still! I loved reading everyone’s comments! And learned a few things too! I just have to say this tho! One thing is bothering me and that is if Sam is as passionate and loving and sexy in real life when he is making love or is he just acting! What is he like for real? We will never know! But if he is not acting and really a great lover then the girlfriend or lover or wife with whom he falls in love is the luckiest person in the whole wide world! I am so jealous! Be still my beating heart! 💓
How can you pick just one scenario or time they took advantage to tenderly, yet passionately love each other. No inhibitions. I wish they would just give it up in real life! They still tease and love each other in all the interviews. Sam and Cait, undeniably love each other.

It's pretty much all of season 1 for me. ❤ All of those first moments between Jamie and Claire still give me butterflies and I couldn't tell you how many times I've watched it, same with the first book as well. 😊😍 I just love them so much.
I'm an actress. When you are in the scene with your scene partner the goal is to open up and immerse yourself in the moment 100%. You DO feel those feelings. But when the director calls cut it's over. You know the difference between reality and pretend. That's why its' called "acting." It's hard to understand if you've never been in that kind of situation. That said, relationships do start up on a show because the creative process is consuming , you're spending a lot of time together, and it's easy to get caught up. But those kinds of relationships don't tend to last. You have to keep your wits about you. Sam and Cait have both said repeatedly that they are acting. It's not real. And I believe them. They're just so brilliant that they make it look that way. They do have a spark. They always have. They just build on it.

After he saved her from the witch trial and they were in the woods, and she told all, and before he took her to the stones, after which she chose Jamie over Frank. That whole scenerio. My all time favorite. That was one of those times when they made love without making love" as Jamie called it". Really not into naked bodies. Some of those moments mentioned I don't remember. The Wedding and after 20 year reunion close seconds.
"It would ha' been easier if you'd only been a witch." I love it!! In the books, many years later, he threatens "I should ha' let them burn you, there in Crainsmuir." (not that he meant it, mind you. She just did something that kind of scared him.)

I don't think it's romantic. It's terribly sexy, but not romantic. He loves her, but she doesn't love him. She likes him, a lot, but she doesn't love him yet. It's got to be love to be romantic. But she does him right, balancing "guidance" with letting him find his own. After all, he's no a monk.

Best show people ever produced. I think if Alliance would come to invade us, if they watch this show they probably will spare us just so we can make more of this kind of masterpiece….
I love it when they walk off together at Brownsville. They are a wee bit drunk and talk about the little girl they found in the Beardsley home. Jamie wanted to give her a child without suffering but she is happy without this and thankful for everyday they have together. It is a sweet playful moment between them and Jamie adds his love and his intelligence (Latin or Greek alphabet?) to his known humour. Claire is all love and happiness with him on the Ridge.
"Don't think you can take advantage of me. I can knock you off your feet, Sir." "You canna even stand on your own feet, Sassenach." They are so much fun when they're teasing. I also like the scene where she's drunk on the turtle soup. In the book she tells him that his uncle told her someone is not drunk if they can find their arse with both hands. "That's not YOUR arse you're holding, Sassenach." says Jamie.
I think she would have gladly suffered to have had another child of his back when they were together but by 50 decided she was too old to start over. The one great tragedy of this show is our not getting to see them raise a child together. When you love a man you want their children. Their joy in that was incomplete.
@@neababyblu I agree. Personally I feel it would have made for a better storyline if they would have had another child together as soon as she came back, and I think 20 years was too long to have them separated. My humble, personal opinion 😌

Perhaps the one that broke my heart was the night he gave Claire the gift of completion. Not for himself also, just for her only. It was a gift of total love to remember him by, for the future. That lasted twenty years. So I believe that was, in my opinion, the best and most unselfish gift.
Yes,,, i agree with u... jamie said he just want to watch her.
I saw that differently. Married to both men still, until she chose one or the other of them, he considered her Frank's wife and he wouldn't cheat into another man's marriage.
(In the book it explains that's why he's still a virgin. He wouldn't take the risk of burdening an unwed girl with a babe she couldn't feed and possibly leave his own child to die of neglect, and he wouldn't disrespect another man's marriage by taking a married woman.)
Still, he was just self serving enough to want to give her pleasure to remember him by.
@@lilysotiangco1069 most romantic and hot too, very good actors
Don't forget season 5 after he's rescued her. He's standing stiff and straight, armed and on guard while Clair has been washing in the creek. Her wounds are still bruised and seeping, but she's clean and wearing his plaid as she's done so many times over the years, and he's standing vigilant, ready to kill to protect her no matter what. I imagine it would take real angels with flaming swords to get between him and her. Giving your lady roses is romantic, but giving her enemies ruination is even better.
for sure.!!! Nothing more endearing than knowing your man will protect you regardless the danger.
You pointed it great ...
so nice and exact comment!
@@EleenaCherry Can't help it. I'm a bit of a purple prose writer myself.
Oh yes, I can't imagine how wonderful it w!ould be to have a "Jamie" as my husband. Nothing could separate me from a man like him.
that voice, that accent, that tenderness, the kisses...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
His voice is just so mmm. He needs to be reading one of these books on audiobooks.
I don't know how Cat and Sam can go back to real life when they have such an amazing make-believe life together. Real life for them surely cannot compare. I wonder...
Also when he jumps out of the ship in a hurricane to grab her under the water and kissed her to give her some air. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Absolutely!!
Sooooo many (it’s the most romantic thing ever done in my opinion) but the scene where he saves her from drowning and kisses her all the way up just makes me melt. Of COURSE Jamie would do that!
I think he's rescue breathing so she can get air into her lungs, though it was sweet
It's so quiet I can't tell) "Will you have me Clair?" "Yes, yes I'll have you."
That boy comes out of his clothes so fast you'd think they were on fire!
To me it's the best scene....very emotional!
I cried on this one!
Haha.....I found that to be the most hot scene.....💋💋💋❤❤❤👻💀☠🤡👹👽👺🤬Happy 🎃 🎃 Halloween..
When he sent her back with the war looming. Omg. I cried.
And that first kiss when Claire returns to Jamie
I loved the look on Jamies face after Claire slapped him in the stables. But Jamie only has to be himself to be the King of men.💝🕊
All of theirs moments together. Are amazing . Even when they are mad with each other!
Love is a beautiful feeling, I wish everyone could experience it!
i love the scene when they were fighting after when Jamie rescued clair from
black randall. It was so emotional when Jamie said that he went there with an empty pistol and with his bare hands. Wow that was intense. and of course the steamy hot scenes lol
The moment Jamie tells Claire he's a virgin... Honesty can be so romantic!
Эх😄
When they were on the horse first time and he tried to warm her 💓😳
My favorite moment of the all serie is when murthagh go at the” kid “Jamie on the first episode of the season 5 or…4, and he promise for the name of God then he would protect Jamie forever, when he mom died ❤️
I love all these moments but I miss the last scene of season 5 and the scene where he says: "when my body dies my soul will still be yours" 😍😍
Oh mercy, it made me cry 😢
@@barbaramiller1186 that was one of my favorite. That's just romantic beyond romantic, that was tear jerking.
yes that was may favourite scene. the way he held her in the last scene was so tender, loving, euphoric.
I have my own thoughts on that but will have to read the books or keep watching the show to put it all together if i ever get the books read, print is awful small and my eyes are not that good
U bet I keep watching the wedding and the wedding night over and over and over.....🥰🥰🥰♥️
♥️
Me too! Pure fantasy right out of the steamiest romance novel. With the addition of Sam’s beautiful Scottish accent, I melt every time watching this episode.
sigh! whether by word, looks, or body, their lovemaking is truly awesome! [ossem??]
Wow that’s amazing 😍😍
THAT SCENE was way too awkwardly staged for me. Just not a natural looking thing...

Absolutely my favorites is Claire and Jamie's wedding 💒 and Marcelle and Fergus's wedding, loved the minister that married them
How can you pick just one scenario or time they took advantage to tenderly, yet passionately love each other. No inhibitions. I wish they would just give it up in real life! They still tease and love each other in all the interviews. Sam and Cait, undeniably love each other.
She married a long time boyfriend. Sam attended their wedding.
She's just recently married, so remember they have a real life outside of the series
Please, we must admire these actors who give so much of themselves and create such a wonderful view into a love that we’d all hope to experience. They’re the Best professionals I’ve seen and their work is a Gift. Let’s say thank you and pray for their Real, private Lives to be blessed and full. I pray that Sam finds a true soulmate and loving life companion so he can feel loved and cherished, and have a safe place to thrive. He gives so much to others, I hope God sends the perfect mate to protect him!

The wedding scene loved it!
How can you act. How they do and not fall in love with each other? You see so much love between them
I have the same thoughts. I believe thers is a spark between them just dont wanna admit in public.
@@thevicarage9841 thats a clear answer! Thank you! So it goes and when you do it right we believe it is real !
