One reason why Sam Heughan is one of my favourite actors, he has no ego and is devoted to the craft and his various charities. So many other actors are devoted to making themselves famous.
I’m so empathetic. I literally get tears in my eyes and feel my heart breaking for young sweet Jamie during his first appearance on season 1. When Claire is preparing to reset his shoulder. She says, I’m a nurse. Jamie, not knowing any different, does not question her . His innocent eyes glance down at her breasts as he processes it. Claire quickly and SHARPLY says NOT A WET NURSE! Poor sweet Jamie knows of no other nurse, but is well aware hes offended Claire and quickly looks away. The look of embarrassment, confusion and innocence in his eyes is.....beautifully heartbreaking. I just want Claire to hug him and say, Awww, it’s ok sweet thing. How could you think any different you sweet young man. Better yet, I want too be Claire! I cry every time! 🙄
Sam is incredibly talented. Im surprised he hasnt won all the awards for Jamie. He is easily the best one on the cast. Most people dont even notice it because he acts so effortlessly.
Anyone who harasses and bullies someone is just insecure and jealous of that person. Sam, you are a fabulous and courteous man. Be proud of what you really are. Your family, friends, and many fans know the true you. You are a great actor with a bright future!

Sam was born to play Jamie Fraser..I don't want to hear the truth that apparently he was an inch shorter from the Jamie Fraser in the book..He is perfect for the role and we love every inch of Sam .Cait and Sam did a great job.This is the favorite series of all time

I adore "Outlander" and rewatch it over again many times. I wish they never got rid of MURTAGH he was such an important character. His love story with Jocasta was so good ! I can honestly say Outlander is my favorite series of all time. I wish the production team would give the same treatment to "CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR " by Jean Ault when they wind production of "OUTLANDER". And I have a major crush on Jamie
My experience and sentiments exactly- such great care and production values. They spent a lot of money on the details . It's hard to watch anything else after this. I've read the books and sadly came to the conclusion that there is a lot of flaws- wordy almost meaningless pages while the really interesting events- transitioning from one time to another, and telling what should be very inquisitive listener (I know I would be) about life in the 20th century - plot lines left dangling, etc. Diana should heed the concept of Chekhov’s Gun’ - a concept that describes how every element of a story should contribute to the whole. It comes from Anton Chekhov’s famous book writing advice: ‘If in the first act you have hung a pistol on the wall, then in the following one it should be fired. Otherwise don’t put it there.’ Unfortunately Diana leaves a lot of guns hanging on the wall. The series writers are much better, but still would have loved them to spend more time on the transitions.
It's refreshing to hear he is not interested in the celebrity side of his craft. I would so hate to see him go the Hollywood route. It seem that the actors who take that road become worse actors. I personally don't want to know everything about Sam or Cate or any actor at all. I prefer to like the characters they portray

I feel as if I’ve heard or read somewhere that the materials and sets are reused and recycled as much as possible. Which is great news. I’m sure a filming set puts a strain, environmentally, on the vicinity in which it’s working. Hundreds of people living, moving about, etc., for days or even weeks. Sounds like less ends up going to a landfill. Excellent! Just like everything about Sam and Outlander as a whole! Love all of it!!!
Yes, if you watch or listen to podcasts the producers reveal that Master Raymond’s Apothecary was reused for Jamie’s print shop. If you look at it, it’s pretty obvious, but I think that it reflects similar architectural elements in different countries.

My favorite character by far is Murtagh Fitzgibbon.... I know they kept him alive longer than the book.... But I wish they hadn't killed him off at all.... He's too sexy to be killed off.... Then.... There's John Grey.... I hope he really isn't leaving.... Especially now that he has a spin-off....
I adore Jamie and Outlander, but in no way is America done with Hollywood! Americans love their blockbuster movies and celebrity worship, most of which comes out of Hollywood. And many of those movies are also loved all over the world! The American film industry also creates millions and millions of jobs. It’s a big win for the U.S. economy, and CA alone has a larger economy than most countries!

I have read the books. (Waiting impatiently for the newest one to come out) and I wasnt really happy either because the description of Jamie is quite different from Sam? But I accepted him immediately . I dont have cable but I have purchased the DVDs . My husband watches them with me and he loves them. He is quite conservative and thinks the sex scenes are too much, but he likes the battles and the story as a whole.
I do agree that I would've loved to see a Jamie who was closer to the book description....but I honestly cant imagine anyone else playing the character as well as Sam does!

The saddest thing is and I know this from experience is that when you become famous, all the hullabaloo while you're at work and all the camaraderie and all the seemingly friends that you have round you at the time when everything is said done cut and everyone goes home it leaves you lonely and feeling alone. And a lot of times I can leave you in a very depressed state of mind. I know this all too well. So chin up. Don't just look at actors as your friends. There are real people out there that are just everyday ordinary people that can be your friends too and that's just what I did with my life. Because there was a time in my life when I was just an ordinary nobody. Don't let that ordinary nobody become a great big somebody. And the day is done and everything is cut and dry and everyone is gone their separate ways and you are left standing there alone and feeling devastated and lonely, remember you made real friends did aren't actors not every one of your friends has to be an actor or in the motion picture business or in the music business or in the modeling business. Bullying and harassing is bad as it is. But bullying and harassing someone like Sam is just vicious and evil. I don't know any other famous person who would be so nice, so kind, so humble as Sam is. How could anyone want to wish or do him any harm is simply beyond my comprehension.
