as long as the lace hairline is created properly, knots, hair direction, graduation, lace colour etc.... then lace wins every time for me...otherwise i too would be wearing a 0.03 skin
for glue attachment, a little sweat is ok, but heavy gym sweat defo not in first 1/2 days, while glue is setting...or tapes may be better option for you :)
Hey Mike if you had just taken a towel or cotton soaked in alcohol or maybe a baby wipe and gently rubbed over the dirt buildup could you have made it presentable or does that never work? I’ve always cut the lace close and am trying leaving it longer so I’m kind of a newbie to it again
yes that sounds cool Jake...scheduling will be an absolute nightmare though as lockdown lifts for us next week and my diary is looking like a tin of sardines lol
How would you go about cleaning hair line when using tapes? Ive always been told to use tape on front lace and white glue on the rest as its poly. Learned loads just on this video, even from not using wax, my stylist always puts wax and hairspray to style my hair when i have a new system put on! So ive just followed their advice 🤷♂️
On my hairpiece, The front hairline can be quite visible sometimes, especialily under light, do you have any tips to "hide" it better or make it less visible? I can't do a raised hairstyle because the front hairline can be seen.
@mg ford got a few questions. I'm currently spending about $285 a month for my hair piece. I've been doing this since, I think, 2015. I'm 28 now. But this is a thick lace so the hair line cant be used. I'm thinking of getting back into modeling and acting but I need do some research if I'm going to leave my hair replacement membership. 1. How much does the hair piece, clue, maintenance chemicals cost, how much would that come to per month? 2. You and some other people have had your hair line from your system pretty high up on the scalp. Is that because of the, lets call them, forehead lines that move when moving your eyebrows? As in you don't want the edge of the system to be on the part of the skin that moves a lot? I ask this because I have a pretty large forehead (lol) and my natural hair line has always been pretty far back. So I would like to scoot my hair system forward so that way I can do a slick back look that I can't currently do with my current system. 3. How often is the front line clean up, and full head clean up? Right now I replace the front stickers every week, clean under the lace and stick new stickers on. And every 6 weeks I go to my club and they remove the entire system and recolor and redo the entire scalp and cut my natural hair. I usually go about 6 to 8 months with a system until I replace it. 4. How quickly does the hair loose it's color, and do you re-color it yourself? I know that's a lot. lol. I'm just now looking into better hairline systems and the DYI method of hair. But I'm a bit scared to switch from a hair club to DYI. Thanks man!

What kind of glue do you use? I really love your videos, I never knew you had to keep 2cm on the front lace! It looks really much more natural indeed! Thank you😀
Do hair systems expire? Like if I were to buy two from you will the other one fade or degrade in hair quality over time. I want to buy 2 in case I mess up the first one.
Had my lace hair system installed 7 days ago and has slightly lifted from front.. so planning on sorting this today, little nervous ill be using ghost bond supreme, anyone know how many layers i would need to put on?
no it was dark buddy i also don't do many bonfires so i never gave it much thought until next morning i saw my hairline :)....thx for your comment Andy
Thanks for the video. It seems that the price of a new hair system has gone up due to the aftermath of Covid. Last week, I got a quote for a full cap and the price was three times higher than in 2020.
1:11 I'm sorry but that's crazy. You're telling me that if I'm around a firepit with friends for a little while I gotta worry about that happening? What if you just wiped at the hairline with some warm water while the system was still on? Could you have gotten rid of the dirt?
so i only use shampoo on my bio hair..just conditioner on the hair system while its attached and also i dont use gels/wax to style , just conditioner only...the only time i use shampoo on my system is when im cleaning it properly with the solvents off my head :) i use simple supermarket own brand as they contain less ingredients
@@mgfordhairreplacementstylist And how often do you clean it properly? Like once a week? Every other week? I'd imagine the less you shampoo it the longer it will last.
@@babyspoot yes so every month for me it needs proper clean but depends on exercise and lifestyle ...most people need to do something every week on their hairline maintenance :)
In trying to learn more about hair systems I have to ask: The 'dirty' line in front of the hairline appeared to be beyond the hair unit perimeter about 1/4 inch onto the scalp (away from the unit). Why not just simply clean up the dirty line? Or does the lace system protrude out onto the forehead more than it looks when you lift it? Thanks. Enjoy and subscribed to your channel.
the dirty line was actually the lace edge which is the graduated hairline...and so only way to clean is to lift and do it the way I did in the video...that said, sometimes you can if its not too strong a dark line use a wet wipe to save you lifting the whole front :)
@@mgfordhairreplacementstylist - Ok thanks. The video looked like you lifted the system up on the actual hairline, not down where the smudge line was. Illusion I guess. Great videos!
Just had mine this morning. This guy is amazing !!!!
thx for comment barry glad you like your new hair :) just gotta shake this covid now!! :))
Every time I see you clean a hairline I feel like switching from a 0.03mm skin system to lace! Unbelievably realistic.

Great video Mike. Love and respect mate. Hope you're well
Much appreciated
Very informative again. Thanks.
thx Ian for your comment :)
I have to say that was super helpful. Cheers!
thanks :)
It looks so good!
thx buddy
Very informative video.. I have one doubt,24hrs with no water after the system has been put in place.. so what happens when you sweat? Is that fine?
for glue attachment, a little sweat is ok, but heavy gym sweat defo not in first 1/2 days, while glue is setting...or tapes may be better option for you :)
VERY GOOD ,,NICE WORK
Thank you very much
Try Walker sport max scalp protector, it speeds up the cure time of the adhesive
yes i should try that buddy..:)
Hi Mike, I’ve got bleached nots but now I’ve started to notice little black dots in the system !
have you had hair coloured recently?
Amazing work! But what Front contur is it,an cc?
And what density?
Wish you all the best
its extra light

hi so i personally use walkers products..safe grip glue and their scalp protector spray, not their dab on version

about 3 , thin layers
I was told not to use glue directly on lace units? Is that a french lace?
yes so glue goes directly on your scalp not on the lace itself..once its dry/tacky then its safe to press the lace down on the tacky surface..
