uv glue or superglue on the body for extra resilience
Great Idea. Both would work. Have to apply a thin coat of superglue and let it dry for a second before tying in the wing. Super thin UV resin like the UV Craft Brush On Resin or Bone Dry Plus from Solarez would be good options.

If you cut your yard in half, tie it down and then fold it back and tie that down it makes for a more sturdy fly. It can not slip out as easily after a long soaking and a couple dozen fish. Just a suggestion.
