A very nice visit to the lovely Cades Cove. We enjoyed the sights, sounds and scenery. Interesting about the filming fees, etc. Thanks for sharing, have a great week. (Like 22) 👍💯
Pretty cool area to see. Great job on your video. You showcased the area well. Boo on the feds for the restrictions against the casual vacationer filming their adventures. Hopefully things will get straightened out so there is not that threat looming over everyone. No matter, great job on your video. It was a beautiful area to see. We explored some of the Smokies last summer but only scratched the surface. Hope to return someday soon. Have a great day.
We have been to this area more than we've been anywhere else, yet, we've never been to Cades Cove. Such an interesting place with so much history. Seeing animals is always fun. I didn't know the Smokies had over 800 miles of hiking trails. I love the mill and the visitor's center. I agree that we should be able to film in parks. The fact that that's even an issue is absolute nonsense. Fantastic video though!

This video of exploring Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains is absolutely breathtaking! The scenery is stunning, and the peacefulness of the area is palpable. The video does an excellent job of showcasing the natural beauty of the region, from the vibrant foliage to the serene streams and waterfalls. I appreciate how the video takes the time to highlight the history and culture of the area as well, with stops at historic cabins and church. The insights shared by you about the early settlers in the region add an extra layer of interest to the already fascinating landscape. This video is an excellent representation of the beauty and charm of Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. The peacefulness of the area is captured beautifully, and the historical and cultural elements add an extra layer of depth to the experience. I would highly recommend this video to anyone interested in exploring the great outdoors and experiencing the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains.

I love the Smoky Mountains, I have not taken the time to check out this particular area but it looks cool. I love all of the old buildings. I never would have thought that you might potentially need a permit to film in the parks.
Wonderful tour and information! I know I went there with my parents when I was little, would love to go again some day! Thanks for sharing the lovely views!

Cades Cove at Great Smoky Mountains National Park was so beautiful. We are glad we could share it with you. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Wow, confusing rules and guidelines on filming within the park. It’s not like they have copyright material you are reproducing. So strange! I can understand your decision on turning off monitizing this video. We are also in the boat of spending more on travel than we make 😊 Aside from that, what a beautiful park. It reminds me a lot of when I lived in Pennsylvania near Valley Forge.
Wonderful showing of Cades Cove. Yea, their video restrictions are quite restrictive - new learning for me. Hopefully it is relaxed soon. Well done, my friends 👍. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend 😀.
Cades Cove is such a beautiful area. We are glad we could share it with you. The rules on filming video seem a bit silly. Hopefully more reasonable rules will be created as time goes on. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Cades Cove at Great Smoky Mountains National Park was so beautiful. We are glad we could share it with you. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Building without nails is so foreign a concept now. Seeing the buildings from back in the day is a good lesson to learn. Civil war time seems so far away now so I enjoyed seeing some history of it. Cheers.
Cades Cove is always beautiful. I have noticed that there doesn't seem to be as much wildlife as previously. Very informative video. It's interesting seeing the old churches and homes. Great video. The policy is crazy. People will enjoy this video that you put out. To put these regulations on UA-camrs is crazy and hurts the consumer. Appreciate all the work you do in National Parks and other places.
Cades Cove at Great Smoky Mountains National Park was so beautiful. We are glad we could share it with you. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
I visited the great smoky mountains many years ago. You captured so many great views. Love the historic home and that old mill. Nice narration and great information. So amazing that we may now need a permit to film at National parks. Have a lovely day.🙂🙂
We absolutely love Cades Cove. Love the pews in the old primitive church. I'd love to have one. We wold love to go back. It's been years since our last video. Love the views. They do have great hiking trails; too bad it was so wet. Aunt Betsy's story is cool. Yes, filming in the NP can be tricky. We think you were smart to not take any chances. Be safe guys, Bill and DeAnna
We love the Great Smoky Mountains, Jack and Alice. Their beautiful, but sometimes so crowded. As you mention it's heavily visited. We loved your visit and seeing the old homes. I think we saw the video a few years back where the rule was enforced against the biggest YT travel channel we're aware of. I recall how upset they were. Better safe than sorry with the Feds. Do they ever make sense? Loved your visit here! Thanks so much for bringing us along.
This national park was in our lists for long time, but still haven’t chance to go. It’s great to watch from yours. This cades cove looks pretty, the cabin is lovely. Very enjoyed watching this informative sharing and love the views in the end. Have a blessed weekend Jack and Alice😍❤️👍👍🤗
I didn’t realize this was the most visited national park. Yea, it’s been a tricky topic with National Parks. I decoded to not post our Grand Canyon video (even though it was an all fog view 😂) till I get a better understanding. Some feel that even if you are not monetized it is still commercial. I’ll most likely post just want to read the UA-cam room first. Can’t believe the rule changed again. Thanks for sharing your experience. Bears scare the heck out me.
Hey friends, enjoying this video I missed while doing housework. I always enjoy your Uploads! Oh man, very interesting about filming these types of videos on National Parks!
Oh cool, one of the most visited parks! I need to check this place out 🙂 Cades Cove is on my list! I love all the views and the different sights along the way. Interesting history too!
Yeah, it is a complicated issue. There are a lot of parks we love that we would like to make videos of but now that they have returned to the policy of making UA-camrs who are unlikely to make a great amount of revenue pay to get a filming permit, we may have to put that on hold until a more reasonable policy is created in the future. Cades Cove was a very beautiful place though. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Ive always wanted to visit Smoky Mountains National park. I was there as a kid - but I don't remember it at all. Such a lovely park, I can see why it's so popular! Amazing how old the church is.The civil war history around it is fascinating. I had never even seen a corn crib before, that's neat. Love the old buildings and who once lived there. Crazy about the rules around the national parks, wow! Never knew this! I don't blame you for turning off ads, that's intense. Better to just avoid it all together I agree. Wow. Great video as always you guys :) Thanks for sharing!
Hi there! I just watched your video and I wanted to say that I found it really informative and well-presented. I appreciated how you broke down the topic into manageable chunks and used clear, concise language to explain each point. I think you did a great job with this video. It's clear that you put a lot of effort into creating it, and it definitely shows. Keep up the good work!
I didn't know that the Great Smoky Mountains NP was the most visited American NP. I have only been there twice but look forward to more visits. My visits were when I was very young and I don't remember all the historical houses and such. I didn't know about filming in national parks. I enjoyed this. Thank you and have an amazing day.
This place is beautiful and wonderful and the cabin is amazing! Thanks for this easy and really nice vibes, everyone needs things like this! Like 45 and subscribed, let's stay connected ❤
I love going here. I remember the traffic jams. We did see a black bear there. Wow, I need to go back. I did like your explanation of the filming requirements. Thumbs up👍
Guys this was probably my favourite video of yours . I loved seeing the 1820s home of the first settles and hearing the history and so amazing to see it built with no nails, like some historic houses here in North Wales, it's fascinating also to see the tiny windows to keep heat in. Health and safety wouldn't allow that today ! Loved seeing the churches , shame you missed the Methodist one because of the rain but great that they still have services and weddings in the Primitive Baptist and I liked the white colours of the Primitive and Missionary Baptist, at have no white churches here :) Too much to say, I loved all of the exhibits like the grist mill and its workings and loved seeing Aunt Becky and read about her hobbies including spinning and the beautiful floors of her house. Alice I loved the sweater you bought and I agreed totally with your rant. These parks should not charge UA-camrs to film at their parks which is really just advertising the parks, it's crazy because like you said, not much monetary gain is made from adverts on channels on comparison to being charged! That's my rant too 😃 Fab video of a fab historic place 👏🙌👍 ~ Anna
Love the old Oliver's Cabin. The craftsmanship of notches was amazing. Love the Old Baptist Church. Great to see the Deer on the way ant the Methodist Church and the Missionary Baptist Church. The Corn Crib, old wagon and the barn was interesting. The Greg Cable House is in very good condition. Awesome old Mill. 8:58 Love the Old Barn. Great visitors centre. WOW! Now you can't film in National Parks because they will fine you if you make money from them. So now you need a permit. Is that different form State to State? Thats right Alice, I am not monetised and UA-cam makes the money from the commercial adds. Too much politics if you ask me. GREED! Don't pay the fees. Wait until the policies change! Great video. They National Parks should be paying you to promote their National Parks. Great Video. Have A GREAT WEEKEND. 💙🙏🏼👍🏼
We can't wait to get back to the National Park to vlog it for once. Cades Cove was probably our favorite part of the park. We saw a few bears there and we enjoyed the old buildings.
I honestly would not worry about recording in Fed/public land at the moment. I remember there being this same issue around 2017/18. Big budget film can not make films and turn a profit but it was ruled UA-camrs and TiKToker's were safe. If any major changes happen, UA-cam will make it apparent. Thanks for the tour! Nice park.
I've heard recording in National parks without a permit and monetizing is illegal so I understand your decision. I've also heard it's ok if you are a UA-camr though but not sure how accurate that is because making money from anything related to the National Park is what the law is all about. I find it surprising how many UA-camrs are doing it though so it's hard to say what's accurate. Not monetizing is the safe route. The parks are so beautiful so it seems unfortunate to not promote them so people know how amazing they are.
We Love the Cove and camp there. Great choice for spending your limited time. We got some videos up and more coming. Thank goodness we do not plan on monetizing if we ever get to that point. The key point of all this is, was the video created to make money.
Also Don't forget Starting 3/1 you'll need a parking permit to park for more than 15 minutes ANYWHERE in the park. The single exception is for those with handicap tags or placards. IMO I can understand the permit for filming for large entities or those impacting wilderness areas. For the average filmer, the permit should be adapted to a day use issue.
