Campos de Jordão is a beautiful place. I would also visit the Aparecida basilica that’s located near there. In Brazil there’s a federal agency that controls customers complaints called PROCON, so if a company post, advertise or promises something and they don’t do it, they can pay fines or be sued. I hope you guys are having fun in Brazil, hopefully you will stop by Espírito Santo state, after visiting Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais and on your way to Bahia state. Merry Christmas!
Hey, i came here to say that Campos do Jordão was during a long time a town where the rich people came to treat tuberculose, because of the altitude wich provides a really fresh air, and because of that the days are very sunny and hot, while the nights are really cold, reaching 00°c degree in the winter. But, after the "clicle of the TB", the place started to attract the paulitana elite, that is so true that almost every rich family to this has a house there, inclunding the official winter residence of the governor.
In the southern part of Brazil sometimes we have snow in the winter, but our winter is in july until september. Our Cristhmas occur in the beggining of our summer, a very hot season. But The ambience of Cristhmas is like a fantasy world, so we refer to a cold snow weather time because it's like a coletive fantasy world commemoration! 😉
U also can visit the second largest basilic in the world in Aparecida city, 70km from Campos, or Ubatuba's beachs (i really recomend it) there are lots of different beachs and water falls ...super nice! Guys have a nice and really happy Xmas. Feliz Natal!!!

Hey guys!!!! So glad you had a chance to see Campos do Jordão. A favorite for São Paulo habitants. It's really beautiful during this time but it's actually the low season. This town is really jumping during our winter season.... around July. That's when temperatures get to the 30's Fahrenheit. But it's quite different to spend Christmas time in a warm climate country specially when you come from Canada. Brazil is full of wonderful surpises... this is just the beginning. Wishing you both a wonderful Christmas and a new year full of happiness!!! You guys are simply awesome!!!!!
You should visit Brazil at july, visit Gramado or revisit campos do Jordão, it will feel more like Christmas to you. In Gramado it's quite common to snow at winter in the middle of the year
Here, Christmas happens in the summer. But Campos do Jordão in winter it gets very cold it can even snow, but compared to a Canadian winter it is not much tbh.
We don't really have a strong tradition of Christmas songs like in the US or Canada. Most of the songs we associate with the Christmas season are just the Brazilian versions of North American songs. I hope this changes in the future. We really should embrace the whole concept of Summer Christmas and write songs about Santa in a swimsuit celebrating on the beach.
instead of snow, we should embrace the December rain. Christmas songs should have rain and thunder sounds instead of jingling sleigh bells. Instead of pine trees for Christmas trees, we should have flowering ipês, or a blooming jabuticabeira, lots of ornamented glass fruits and flowers.
Brazilians do Christmas celebrations on the 24th at night because we suppose to begin the celebrations midnight which is the 25th, so technically it is celebrated on the 25th too.
Our seasons are inverted, December is summer in Brazil. It's colder from May to July. Here in the southeast, we don't have frequent snow as there's in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
Glad you found the Christmas spirit guys but yea must be very hard missing your family. Hope Christmas at Gustavo's can recapture some of the Xmas family togetherness. The Christmas spirit in Brazil is different because in our country Christmas is more about Jesus Christ and not Santa, Christ is our miracle, his birthday is our comemoration. Well, Campos do Jordão may be the coldest city in São Paulo, State. But not the coldest in Brazil. There are many small towns in the south of the country that can easily reach -10 degrees Celsius. The Record was -17 degrees Celsius approximately.

Oi! Hello! Merry Christmas! I assume you are going to visit Rio and maybe Salvador idk. But, I would like to suggest visiting Curitiba (capital city of Parana state), it's relatively close to Sao Paulo. There's a lot of parks there where you guys could rest a bit☺👍 About the Summer Christmas, there should be a culture around this, like a replacement to our fake snow men lol, we even fake snow with cotton and other white stuff, all while sweating and being burned by the sun🤦♀️🤣. Our Christmas is kinda messy. Nice channel!
An Australian friend once told me that in his youth he and his entire family had to down knives and forks during their Christmas lunch/ dinner and grab buckets in order to staunch a spontaneous grass fire on the vacant property next to their own house property in 40°C Celsius heat.
Why the European settled in there? Cos they founded Brazil, just like Canadá! Then came the second wave fleeing from WWI and lastly WWII Most Italian and Germans in São Paulo And Canadá is the best country in the world, btw 😁
Guess you guys haven't spend a "white Christmas" for 2 or 3 years now..... Last year, it was with Greg,Jumi , Ken & you guys spending Christmas... "Deck the halls with boughs of holly" ... Merry Christmas and happy New year... Stay safe guys...
Christmas in Brazil is in summer. The winter is in june until august in the most part of Brazil. Only changes in Amazon we have different seasons here.

The good thing is that you are in a city with a very cool climate. I live in Rio de Janeiro and around here we dream of spending Christmas in the cold snow. Here the weather this time of year is very hot, And yes it is quite normal to go to the beach on December 24th. hahahaha
"I don't know why Europeans have settled here specifically" well sir, u only know a little bit of Brazil. There are cities like that all over the country. I mean, not the same, but with huge european influences. The main ones are portugueses, Italian, french and German in general. Brazil is a big surprising box...
the perfect temp for you is 25-30? damn, that would be hell for me, i prefer 14-21, i really need to move somewhere colder because at least 95% of the year is too hot for me

I assume you are going to visit Rio and maybe Salvador idk. But, I would like to suggest visiting Curitiba (capital city of Parana state), it's relatively close to Sao Paulo. There's a lot of parks there where you guys could rest a bit☺👍
About the Summer Christmas, there should be a culture around this, like a replacement to our fake snow men lol, we even fake snow with cotton and other white stuff, all while sweating and being burned by the sun🤦♀️🤣.
Then came the second wave fleeing from WWI and lastly WWII
Most Italian and Germans in São Paulo
And Canadá is the best country in the world, btw 😁
Here the santa come with surfboard waving with sharks hahaha hahaha
I'm Brazilian I'm subscribed to the channel. Suggestion put Portuguese subtitles in your videos, it's good to know what you think about Brazil.
Wow, that's so nice for you to spend christmas there!!!
Nice place to go in July, because it is cold, like 4-8 degrees. But in December is hot, not so hot like the other parts of Brazil, but is hot for a Canadian kkk
Amazing! You should also visit Gramado in Rio Grande do Sul state… in south Brazil!! It’s an unbelievable city!! ❤️
your Videos are helping me alot been in Sao paolo for almost half a month and needed place to go and with you videos now I know , hopefully Ill see you guys around
The good thing is that you are in a city with a very cool climate.
I live in Rio de Janeiro and around here we dream of spending Christmas in the cold snow.
Here the weather this time of year is very hot, And yes it is quite normal to go to the beach on December 24th. hahahaha
The christmas beer said "wheat beer - slightly sparkling" like in a champagne.
Muito bom. Visitem as praias de Ubatuba. É próximo à São Paulo.
"I don't know why Europeans have settled here specifically" well sir, u only know a little bit of Brazil. There are cities like that all over the country. I mean, not the same, but with huge european influences. The main ones are portugueses, Italian, french and German in general.
Brazil is a big surprising box...
Hi guys, I love your videos.
Go visit Bonito - MS, Gramado - RS (and all Serra Gaúcha places), Belém - PA
Loving the vlogs! Such good energy.
5 stars! 😂
the perfect temp for you is 25-30? damn, that would be hell for me, i prefer 14-21, i really need to move somewhere colder because at least 95% of the year is too hot for me
Loved your channel!
