I have a question, why are the roads slippery? After i start going over 45 mph, it's like driving in ice. No other map is like that. I tried it with both in game vehicles and modded. No matter what tires i use, it does the same thing.
I figured it has been long enough to go for a second go at it. I make a point of spending an hour or 2 most nights to just kick back and build. It's definitely my decompress time. I honestly couldn't imagine not having some sort of project on the go✌
Man is busting out maps left and right 🔥 Remoh awesome work man I 100% the first Highway Haulin and I’m trying to 100% The Near North Region, I’m very excited to hear a second version of my favorite SR map is being made… The only thing I can ask for is possibly a park area, maybe featuring… tractor pulls, mud drags, mud pits, some jumps and logs/rocks to have some fun with… a nice spot for the toy type of mods like the lifted lawn mower or say Dubz SxS. The non working weekend activity type stuff maybe a job to open to park can be involved. Maybe delivering the logs or something for the park.
Great idea. I can definitely work that into the maps. Probably get a few missions out of it too. Thanks for the great idea. I do want to add more roleplay options on this one
I want to work more of the mechanics like that into this region. I will definitely add that into it. Maybe the second map when I build it. I can set up for it for sure. Thanks for the suggestion
Cant wait, absolutely love the OG Highway Hauling Region. I think crafting, use generators and also utilize the water towers and trailers. I can't think of anything else at the moment
Remoh, there of a couple of things i can think of changing. 1. Long logs closer to the main road. 2. If you have to rescue a vehicle or get to a Watchtower please make it fairly accessable. Examples is the one watchtower in Rutland next to the gateway from Bennington, down the river, and the P16 in the trees. 3.Trees, What can I say about trees, Do me a favor, play with the controller if you put 20 trees around the road and you try to connect with a trailer or another vehicle, you have to figure out which tree it is on and then try to get the cursor to the front of the trailer or front of the vehicle. it is not with only your maps but also with the main game. Simplest way to put the is no curser on consoles. Does that make sense? I am also playing on the After Shock map, very good map, I highly suggest it. I personally think that the first think that I did was build a temporary bridge.
I agree, the scrap dealin task is probably a little tough to start off with on the original. I'm hoping to make this new HH region with a little more flow than the first. I will definitely try to keep it more balanced for sure
Hi Remoh - I just started playing the Bennington map - after playing Death Roads for a long time. It’s the original Highway Hauling map, and holy crap it is really good! Which Bennington is it? I spent some time in Bennington, Vermont, but this ain’t it. There are 10 cities in the states named Bennington - so which one? It has a darn freeway! It is awesome! You left some dev tools in the PS5 version - bright red boxes with exclamation points that appear during difficult maneuvers. I’ll try to get a pic. Anyway, I would love to see a whole region with several maps - a winter map as well like you have thought about. It is so much fun with the combination of real towns, real roads, as well as some difficult off-roading. And where did you get that 6000 liter fuel trailer?!
Hii ! I'd love you to build a mountain road with lots of tight bends and a very gradual rise in elevation. "pikes peaks" Seeing your videos has made me want to play the game again ^^ Thanks
Thanks for the comment. I was considering making the region with all the maps working up a mountain together. Basically one mountain across multiple maps. I could definitely work that in
Hi Remoh, i was wondering what it might cost to have you add some cargo and crafting to an upcoming map - i like the idea of crafting things such as a boat by gathering metal rolls, vehicle spare parts, metal beams, perhaps oversized cargo thats a rudder or stern assembly, and a 5 slot engine, to be delivered to a boat builder who needs various items at various times, alongside maybe a contract to take metal beams youve given him, to a fabricator across a map, and bring back tall triangular assemblies, or bring metal rolls to him, that craft into steel plates (like concrete slabs), that you then take to a factory to be galvanized, and that factory needs chemicals from another place, etcetera. Or a radio tower / antenna / mast, that needs lots of metal beams, many rolls of wire (similar to metal rolls), metal mesh sheets for the receiver dish or transmitter, all brought to a factory to craft, and then it becomes an 8 slot cargo that you haul to a hill, and needs you tow a mission trailer that looks like a tower crane? Perhaps a dam construction that requires several 4/5slot cargo items such as concrete pumps (that resemble drill derricks), and multiple deliveries of oversized-cargo sized concrete trailers, gravel containers, and 4 slot rebar bundles, on a day by day schedule, like slightly different each day and triggered by other contracts ending? Or a military theme, where you transport a couple of old tanks from a military base, on a superheavy trailer, to a workshop where they are restored, then to a firing range after that, and back to the base? Basically, im interested in some multi-part missions and contracts, where you are more involved in a tangible situation - perhaps several contracts that culminate in a final big crafting effort, like restoring a factory, a fuel station, an electrical substation, a train line for workers, then build a radio tower like i described perhaps. I know this all sounds very demanding and specific, but im keen to know what sort of compensation youd need to incorporate some aspects of all this into an upcoming map, not necessarily all of it, or exactly as i described, im very interested to hear your thoughts on my ideas too! I realise any work would cost more than say £20, im realistic about the cost so im hoping you could incorporate a few missions into a future map, that i could fund the extra work theyd take to set up. Hope to hear from you!
Gotta say I find maps with crafting zones infinitely more playable, would be cool to have a sawmill crafting zone to infinitely deliver logs to make planks with multiple challenges around the zone to deliver the product to a port for export or whatever same goes with other cargo, steel mills, (shame we don't have iron ore as a cargo that could be mined) brick factorys, oil refining, all following the same basic idea of production line, from the mine/forest/oil field to the factory/sawmill/refinery to the export challenges being infinitely repeatable, also some large open warehouse areas where the asphalt meets the dirt to crane cargo from off-road trucks to highway trucks would be a bonus
100% on that. I think it can add another layer to the missions that will work well with this style of map. Definitely going to use it for a few missions.
Hi! I would enjoy a mix of two regions. One of these is the Near North region. The other is Highway Haulin. With more construction, bridges and roadblocks, but I really liked the new map, the Fish Farm. I don't like plowing or sowing, but I want to build water towers, but of course without fire. And I want a lot less tug missions. That was the first thing that occurred to me. I hope I was able to help or found it useful.
Definitely helpful and thanks for the ideas. That's more or less what I want to do now that you say it. I will see what I can do about add some roadblocks to deal with. Thanks again
on the original highway hauling how do you open up the other maps are there tasks to complete I'm on Xbox series X or is only pc that get the maps new game looks good mate
Sorry yo bother you,I ha e a question about pine valley, cedar ridge .. bridge to logging camp, can't seem to find the wooden planks, any help would be appreciated thx,ken
I finally got to play it on xbox console, I've read some of the comments folks seem to like so I'll leave it at that. I made a couple of suggestions, thanks for adding an additional trailer store. Why does it seem that like the tasks are repeating. e.g. I delivered potatoes to the same locations, same amount 3 times already. I opened the warehouse with the sand, I completed a contract for 18 pieces, then a short time later it's asking me to deliver the same 18 pieces again, to the same place. Think I'll wait until you finish the entire region before I play it again to see if anything changes. I'm just not entirely feeling this first map.
I added a few repeatable tasks on this one for anyone that wants to play a bit longer. I think map 1 will fit alot better when the second map gets added. Map 1 is more of the town filled area so it's a bit simple on it's own. At least that's what in hoping 🤞
Ok i know you said that some contracts repeat. How is that suppose to work? I do the contract, and no sooner than I'm done the same contract comes up again, is this automatic? Why do i feel that I'm constantly repeating the same contracts? It's starting to get annoying repeating the same contracts I didnt activate. Allot needs to be fixed on this map, or maybe this is a problem with playing on xbox consoles. I not having fun at all on this map, somethings missing. On the mod browser I see some are not happy as well. I know you get allot of request to add items to these maps, and you cant add all of them. But why on a highway hauling map you cant find a reststop on the highway? Weight stations do nothing, and after you make a delivery to it, it serves no purpose after that. No sonner than i deliver 18 pieces of sand, the contract comes up again for the same amount, to the same locations. Im literally sitting in the parking lot checking the next contract when the one i just completed is on the list again. This is happening on all the large delivery contracts. Im about to unsubscribe from it on the browser, not having fun at all. I know you work hard on these maps so I'll keep checking the browser to see if it gets better.
Hey brother, if you don't mind to ad crafting, logging and vehicle recovery. That would be awesome. However, we take what we can get, is fun anyway. Also, I hope that it will be no issue for the ps5. Thanks!
I am going to work in a wide variety of stuff to do on this one for sure. I also want to add a little more crane work into some of the tasks. Definitely going to take my time and do this one proper

To be honest the ice roads are awesome for me anyways.
I like the challenge of crossing ice lakes or rivers.
