More Sunset Lightning 7/15/2024

Madison was on the northern fringes of the derecho system that produced damaging straight-line winds and several tornadoes in far southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois (including the Chicago area) on this summer evening. Like on June 24th, the setting sun shone through the departing storm clouds, illuminating the sky solid orange as lightning flashes continued.
