  • Late 2023 these trains are in the last phase of passenger transportation around the MerseyRail Network. With the help of the 507 Preservation Society, these trains will be preserved for people of the Future to enjoy.

    We are pleased that the society have obtained 507001 & reached an agreement with a heritage railway to store the whole unit,
    Now begins the task of raising the 15k to haul this special unit to the site, please consider signing up and helping our society preserve this unit for generations to come 😊

    Just joined up, moved to Liverpool in 1978 so was lucky enough to ride the 502s as well! The 507s had a very different ambience with the use of plastics and fluorescent lighting compared to wooden panelling and tungsten lighting of the 502s but with a similar layout. I'm fond of both, they both have done their job very well.

    We've nearly seen history play out several times on Merseyside when there's no one around to save these trains! Many thanks to the group, they're doing excellent and necessary work!

    I 100% support this project and signed up very early on. I really hope that 507001 is the unit that will be saved. It would be lovely to have the very first 507 that represents the rest of the class in preservation. After all the work that they have done as well with the new livery, I think it would be such a sad shame to see this now all go to waste. 507001 is the perfect candidate for saving and is far too good for scrap! The very best of luck in the world in securing and saving it. I 100% hope that it becomes a reality and happens.

    This is last PEP class to survived. Every class has saved units except 508 (also survived cabs only for translator cabs, fire training cabs and 1 cut cab 508211 in Wales along with full Class 315 856 unit). Hoping 507 unit could be saved. 315 was my home train but other PEP units always reminded too.

    I can remember them joining Merseyrail in 1978. They look better, at least on the outside, than the rolling stock on the line where I now live.

    I hope that 507 001 Gets preserved in its green livery as well as a second 507 train in the modern classic yellow livery

    Definitely a must for preservation, but it’s very sad to hear about the scrapping of two of the cars from the remaining Class 503 forty odd years after its preservation and it begs the question could a similar fate await a preserved Class 507 in the future?

    I wish you folks well on your mission to preserve 507001. Will the interior remain the same or will it be backdated back to a previous condition?

    Call me Mr Picky if you like, but I thought that livery wasn't 100%: Comparing it with photos of the original the grey window surround looks bigger, and there's no navy on the doors... I get that there's some desire to preserve one of these, but they don't hold that much attraction for me, maybe because I'm old enough to remember riding on Class 503s!

      I think it's to do with disability requirements for visually impaired people, where the door colours have to contrast with the rest of the body colours.

    Hi There Again it is Mr Cannadine T. Boxill-Harris, I have another interesting idea for most of you Class 313, Class 314 and that also is including those interesting Class 315 Fans out there, rather than scrapping most of those Class 313's Class 314 including the Class 315's maybe you guys can convert them and including the refurbishment into those Leyland 680 engines, Volvo B10M Engine, Scania N112 Engine, Cummins M11 Engine, Gardner 6LXC Engine, Gardner 6LXB, Engine, Gardner 8LXB Engine, Class 313's, Class 314's and the Class 315's and convert all of them into a 2 Carriages and Three Carriages of the Class 313's, Class 314's and that is including those Class 315's for most of us Class 314's and the Class 315's Diesel Train Fans Pretty Please Are you still going to do this interesting type of Project for all of us out there Please?

      I would imagine so. It is unlikely they're going to remove the motors and other driving parts, and without 3rd rail there's no (traditional) way to power them!

    These are the second generation 3 car class 507s are currently allocated to ME - Merseyrail since around 1978 is 46 previous years ago in February 2024. There are also the 3 car class 508s have also have previously been allocated to ME - Merseyrail have all been withdrawn from the company and many have been scrapped. The man 🧍‍♂️ 👨 said that class 507s will be withdrawn by around the middle of 2024, however it could be put on hold until at least perhaps 🤔 Tuesday 31st December 2024 (New Year’s Eve) 🎉 🥳 🎈 at the latest in awaiting for the brand new 4 car class 777s to be delivered to ME - Merseyrail. All trains 🚆 are old class 507s, 508s and new 🆕 class 777s are second generation EMU - Electric ⚡️ Multiple Units are standard class accommodation only, no toilets 🚽 🚻 , bins 🗑️ provided, luggage 🧳 rack and no carpet. ME - Merseyrail runs its services everyday and public holidays except Christmas 🎄🤶 🎅 🧑‍🎄 Day. Open windows 🪟 only happen to the old 3 class 507s and 508s. 👍 😃

    I needed to know why they don’t dig a tunnel and do an extension for the main line Train so that they can extend the unused abandoned underground train stations. Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock and include the class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign them an overhead line and also make them into Five cars per units and also having three Disabled Toilets on those Five cars per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Scania N112, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 7-Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 8-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into an 11 car per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers. A Stock Trains and also having 8 Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the Waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it more Larger and extend it to the bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Railway tunnel into a High-Speed Railway lines? The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Railway line to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B. Then put the modernised 11 car per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised Waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it could go to bank station to those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. The modernised refurbished 11 cars per unit A stock could be a High Speed The Third Triple-Track Euro Tunnel Train So it is promising and 47 times a lot more possible to do this kind of project if that will be OK for London Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. oh by the way, could they also tunnel the Triple-Track Railway Line so it will stop from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex so that the Passengers will go to Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden and also extend the Triple-Track Railway Line from the Bank to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex Stations so that more people from there could go to Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden more Easily. Why couldn't they extend the Piccadilly Line and also build brand-new underground train stations so it could go even further right up to Clapton, Wood Street can they also make another brand new underground train station in Chingford and could they extend the Piccadilly Line and the DLR right up to Chingford? All of the classes 150, 155, 154, 117, 114, 105, and 106, will be replaced by all of the Scania N112, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Five carriages three disabled toilets are air conditioning trains including Highams Park for extended roots which is the Piccadilly line and the DLR trains. Could you also convert all of the 1973 stock trains into an air-conditioned maximum speed 78 km/hours (48 MPH) re-refurbished and make it into a 8 cars per unit if that will be alright, and also extend all of the Piccadilly train stations to make more space for all of the extended 8 car per unit 1973 stock air condition trains and can you also build another Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive Companies and can they order Every 67 Octagon and Every 37 Hexagon shape LNER diagram unique small no.13 and unique small no.11 Boilers from those Countries such as Greece, Italy, Poland, and Sweden, can they make Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive speeds by up to 147MPH so you can try and test it on the Original Mainline so it will be much more safer for the Passengers to enjoy the 147MPH speed Limit only for HS2 and Channel Tunnel mainline services, if they needed 16 Carriages Per units, can they use those class 55’s, class 44’s, class 40’s and class 43HST Diesel Locomotive’s right at the Back of those 18 Carriages Per Units so they can take over at the Back to let those Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s have a rest for those interesting Journeys Please!!!!!!, oh can you make all of those Coal Boxes’s 18 Tonnes for all of those 147MPH Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s so the Companies will Understand us PASSENGER’S!! so please make sure that the Builders can do as they are told!!!!! And Please do something about these very very important Professional ideas Please? Prime Minister of England, Prime Minister of Australia, Prime Minister of Sweden, Prime Minister of Germany, Prime Minister of Italy, Prime Minister of Poland and that Includes the Mayor of London.
