I'm so happy to see A MountainSmith Zerk pack on Camino... I have the same exact pack. I love it so much. Hope it was good to you the whole way through. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. :)
Thank you for your comment. We chose vertical format because majority of people who watch content, do it on their phones and somehow vertical works better for them 😐
Yes. It was a surprise. About an hour after we went through they starting stopping people from going up. Then we found out they closed the road after we went through. It was crazy. Glad we made it.
Well after watching your first day I'm too scared to watch more days!! 🥶 I'm starting to walk this coming April on the 18th so just a week after you in 2023 but I did not expect to see that!! What a surprise that must have been. Did they not say anything about the weather forecast in the pilgrims office? Anyway, good job getting the day over with safely. Can I please ask, what rain gear you wore on that first day and if you would have changed gear now in hindsight. I can't decide on a raincoat or an Altus poncho? Thanks :)
Hi, thank you for watching and your comment. The weather situation changed rapidly and nobody knew. The trail was closed after we went through it. That happened because of how quickly the storm developed. We were not prepared for that type of weather but we did good with the layering we had. We had long sleeves sunhoodies, a fleece jacket each, and our rain jackets on. The rain jacket that my husband wore was MARMOT and he loved it. I had HH jacket. We liked the jacket because we had pockets and mine had zippered pockets good to keep the phones dry. Also my backpack had a rain cover that comes with it and all of our stuff inside were in stuffsacks rain proof. We did a video with all the gear we took in case you want to see it. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/wgHyqVRyV4g/v-deo.htmlsi=wKEmPYPSHk_60w7d Also we did a video on how much we paid for all the albergues. Thank you again and let us know if you have more questions. Buen camino.
Yes it was challenging and the next day we were very sore but we are glad we made it.😃 Thank you for your comment. Let us know if you have any questions. Buen Camino,.
We used our iPhones. 25km the first day took us 8 hours but we went through a blizzard and it’s uphill with a slow downhill. On a flat day we averaged 4 to 5km an hour. On other days with hills we averaged 3km an hour.
We began in St Jean Pied de Port France. This video was our first day. We finished everything yesterday at Finesterre. Buen camino. Let us know if you have any questions 😊
It was freezing and when we finished crossing we were exhausted because it was hard to breath going through it. We also didn’t have heavy winter clothes because no one expected it. 😫
Hi. The first 4 days were filmed like that. After that you will see the format changed. The best way to watch it is on the phone vertical way. Thank you for your comment.
Wow just wow!
Saludos para los dos desde Buenos Aires - Argentina. Pablo Sotelo

I bet it was great reaching your destination and eating after all that. Well done!

Wow, we went through there last Friday. Clear skies and no snow. 😮
It was terrible. I'm not going to lie we didn't know if we were going to make it. Nobody expected the sudden changed.
Blizzard - YIKES !!!
Love the insight! Lots of good memories.
Why did you choose to shoot vertical video?
