1:14 What city of Italy is this one? Thak you!
Great apartment for the money! Thanks for sharing!
I only have them my US license and passport that’s it
Well it looks very good apartment good size the price of rent is good but one has to consider the italian salaries and what type of conditions at work there which from my experience in italy are awful
The prescription drugs ads are prohibited by law, not just in Italy but all over EU.
That’s excellent.
Australians are paying 650.00 AUD a week for rental accommodation and that's cheap.
Prices are crazy. Thank you for your comment
Really nice two bedroom apt., two balconies, storage and a parking for EUR 660 … wow! Here that apt is at least $5K & up
Yes in the US rents are ridiculous now. Thank you for watching 😊😊
Oh boy. I saw "Our Apartment Tour" along with the Italian Flag and thought your plans changed😮 Thanks for the tour😊
We had to made a video about the place before leaving 😄
@360cynandscott I bet. Most people only talk about what they "will" do. So glad you two are actually taking the steps to find what you want most in this life🤗
I grew up in venice at 34 i moved abroad to england for good . Sorry i have no opinions but bad only for the country i was born its not my cup of tea I find your remarks truthful i mean real but are not the problem that made me leave Italy for good. Struggling to understand what Americans find there that is better than in the USA. I mean even if you guys find some cons in the US I believe they are lesser important than the pros compared to those existing where you are right now😊😊
We agree with you and looks like you are the first Italian to not get upset with us. We made a previous video talking about other things people from the US should know before moving to Italy and we were berated by Italians. One in particular was really upset. Anyway, we will be leaving Italy for many of the reasons you know. We will keep documenting the journey. Thank you for watching and for your comment. 😊😊
@@360cynandscott you welcome i ve been living outside italy for 2 decades perhaps thats changed a bit my former italian mindset or maybe i never had one 😂 anyway looking forward to seeing other videos of yours take care
Nice video! As an Italian with a channel aimed to learners of Italian this was very useful! I think there are intermissions only on long movies: lately I saw interstellar-it had intermission, but shorter films didn’t. Grazie per questo video!
Thank you
Thank you
😊😊
Great information and love,y couple
I believe the aim of the cinema house movie's intermission is for the health of the viewer's eyes and eyesight; we are all aware that watching for an extended period of time is hazardous to our eyes. The next step is to take a bathroom break. Every break is for our wellbeing. Enjoy watching and be healthy.
Thank you for your comment ❤️
@360cynandscott muchas gracias a uds!
In Italy, but I think throughout the EU, the advertising of prescription medicines is prohibited.
We are glad because is really out of control in the US 🤨
Awesome job guys! Super fun and very informative!🎉
Thank you 😊😊
the fact about medical tests is partially true. if tests are performed in hospitals of the national health system the results are entered directly into the medical circuit and your family doctor has them immediately available and if there is something serious he is alerted immediately. and yes, there is a file with all the medical records in the archive and the doctor can see everything! (at least this is how it works with Italian resident citizens...then I don't know in other cases) if tests are performed at a private clinic, then they give you the results and it will be your responsibility
Thanks for showing the reality of the Camino on the tough days.
Is driving like in Germany I took that test ❤❤❤
If you have a German license you would not need to do a test in Italy. Hope it helps.
I learned a broken scicillian and my aunts all gone 🙏🙏✊🏾✊🏾🙌🙌
I am learning my grandparents came from Palermo to USA 🇺🇸 he fought two wars and got citizenship so I am allowed dual citizenship is this true ❤
Hello. The best source of information would be the Italian emabssy that has jurisdiction in your city. You should be able to get citizenship but I know the law changed recently where they might present an issue if your Italian ancestors naturalized in another country.
Bull 💩
Yep the theory test is no joke. I've been driving for 40 yrs and am into my 4th month of studying theory. I'm not as dedicated as you or my wife (who took about 3 months). Plus our school, dr, fees etc are about 300€ more than yours. Oh...just found your channel and it's a fun one 🤙🏼
Thank you 😊😊
The thing I didn't know was about keeping your own medical files, that's very interesting!
We that are italians dream about america and being an american i ve been living in england for the last 2 decades when iam on holiday from work i often travel to US to enjoy it even thought the cities i visited resemble a lot british cities DC philadelphia chicago.
YOU dream about it
I have learned to speak fluent italian ... anyone who does not learn italiano in italy is a FOOL !!! I am sure that is the way the italians think !!!
Yes learning Italian is very important. The biggest issue for the Americans who move to Italy is that they are retirement age and learning a language at that age is not as easy as learning it when you are younger. Thanks for your comment.
@@360cynandscott I spoke fluent Spanish before learning italiano and it was very hard to learn italian ... However, Duolingo is very helpful ...
@@superdivemaster I agree. Spanish is my first language too. I learned English as my second language and I’m level A2 Italian thanks to Duolingo and some classes I took through the comune. Now I will start learning Dutch 😩
Bel video, bravi!!!
Grazie
After living here for more then 24 years, mastered three languages. Spanish, Catalán and Italian. 🇪🇸🇪🇺🍷👍
And did not take any formal classes... Learned listening to people in bars,t.v. in said language and listen to radio and read the local newspaper.
Thank you for your comment
The American Dream Today is Living in Another Country😮
There were a lot of surprises here. For instance, many countries have much lower English, or higher taxes than expected. It appears the reference list was not geared toward Americans and our needs/preferences. If you do another video about this subject, it may be a consideration to put "Friendliness to Americans" and/or "English Proficiency" at the top.
Thank you. Yes the list was a surprised to us too. We will keep an eye for more info from their site.
I have just stumbled across your channel, I like your approachable manner. My hope is in a few years retiring to Italy, but for now it's just a dream. We have visited twice, the first time just my wife and I for our 15th anniversary and the second time with kids, my sister and mother in law. First trip we rented a Fiat Panda and drove that thing all around northern Tuscany and had a blast. It had been a while since I drove a manual and I loved it. The car might have been underpowered for some of the hills but if fit anywhere we wanted to go. The second trip we rented an AUDI A6. Hated every minute in that car. Way to large for Italian roads. Parking was a pain, Actually drove down a road that became too narrow and had to back out for a quarter mile before I could turn around. Thankfully we had help from some locals. Lesson learned so when we retire there if we buy a car it will be a small runabout like a Panda.
You described Exactly how we felt when we bought it. Thank you for your comment ❤️
An endless list of numbers isn't a very user-friendly format!! I have a real complaint - if you want to move to a foreign country and not always ask as a first question 'Do you speak English?' but if you plan to integrate into the new society (like most US citizens expect migrants to integrate into their society) - for me the difference between a migrant and an 'Expat' - you will have to learn the new language!! Perhaps you should split the proficiency factor into two parts: how many natives know English and 'how easy is it to learn the native language?' A Country like Belgium for instance has two national languages, and Dutch or German may be much easier to learn for an English speaker than Greek or Romanian..
Hi. This study was done by the Schengen Visa info site and those are the factors they evaluated specifically for Americans. I agree that learning the language of a country is important for integration however that takes time. Thank you for your comment 😊
Every interesting study and information. Uprooting to another country is a huge step that I am not ready to take nor am I ready to live in a fascist regime or cult influenced by Russia’s dictator. I don’t know what to do 🤷🏻♂️. Question: are the dollar amounts quoted in USD equivalent or in those prospective countries?
Yes, it is definitely a huge step to move to another country. The amounts are in USD as they were listed in the article. Thank you for your comment 😊
❤Thank you both for objectively analyzing the differences between American Living and life in Italy. That is what I expected from the title and thumbnail. What I didn't expect is the amount of people in the comments who failed to understand the intention. We spent a month there in March and are/were considering a more permanent move there. Some of our experiences were great. Some of them mirrored the emotional maturity shown by some in this comment section. Not sure if allowing the comments to stay was intentional to support this point, or not, but thanks for leaving them up, since it is a huge indicator of what one must consider with such a move.
Thank you for understanding the purpose and intention of the video. We've been here for almost 3 years. This is the second country that we are trying out, the first one was Mexico. The actual purpose of our channel is to inform in a realistic way without being negative or romanticizing things/places. That's why people leave comments like that, because they want to keep the romance and not address reality. It is crazy how people react but we are not surprised. Thank you for your support.
@@360cynandscott Interestingly, we also tried Mexico. Wasn't good. Lot's of anti American behaviors. Very different than 20-15 years ago when I spent 1-2 months there every year. In Italy, we found that the farther south we went, the nicer the people were. As you live your lives in Italy, how often do you find interactions like those in these comments, as opposed to normal-ish behavior towards Americans?
@ these comments are tame compared to what we received in instagram. To the point that we deleted the page because it wasn’t worth it. We would say that in person we didn’t encounter bad interactions, however we were really shocked with the feelings expressed in comment sections in social media towards Americans. Definitely it is known that in the south people are friendlies and warmer. It’s funny because our last video was about Schengen countries for Americans and Italy ranked 21 🤣. Anyway thank you for your comment and watching the video. 😊
@@360cynandscott Wow. People are definitely braver on social media. Especially cowardly types. We had a couple of passive aggressive interactions, but much more were purely passive. We really appreciate you both for sharing your honest experiences here. We will check out the video you mentioned. I told my wife that Italy is 21st. She's like "How many countries are in the Schengen Area?!" I said "Probably 22". Haha. We will find out tomorrow. Hope you two have a great day together 🤗
@ thank you. We are in the process of leaving Italy and moving to Belgium. We will document the move to show our experience. There are more opportunities in northern countries. Thank you again 😊

Hello Mam, I saw your videos and was impressed by the quality of your content. However, after analysis, I noticed there needs to be improvement for getting more views and subscribers. You are working hard but the main motive to reach an exact audience is not fulfilled. You are working for your audience if the video can't reach them. That's a waste of your energy and time also. I will show the problem in your video and share how to fix it Only say 'yes' if you want to grow your channel.
