This is the storyline that made me truly hate Bailey. Trying to remove an orphan (one he previously kidnapped) from his home and father and then what does he do? Gives him back because its too much responsibility!! All over a learning disorder that the teacher couldnt even give him the help he needed or be bothered to seek out any kind of special education for!!!
@@sbarrow06 she always got on my nerves but she alway took Bailey side even when Owen was a baby she would always ask Bailey if she could do something even those charlie was her guardian not Bailey
I haven't watched all the seasons yet but I do know she has always been closer to Bailey cause on season 1 Julia said you think the only one you have to listen to is Bailey and she told her well he is the only one who cares about me
Let’s be real Charlie was a real prick and it didn’t even occur to him why Bailey wanted to take in Owen not just to help him but so he could have a shot of raising him being a parent now that he got Diana. I don’t blame Bailey at all and Charlie wasn’t that good of a guardian for his siblings.
Nowhere real. Charlie was the only father Owen knew. During the first 4 seasons, especially the fourth, he was always there for him. Since In Loco Parentis, he loved him like his own son. He only somehow neglected him when Kathleen and Grace were around (a couple of months). The problem of season 5 was that all the storyline around Owen's custody fight was the crucial fact to allow Jennifer Love Hewitt's departure. In season 6 was demonstrated that Bailey couldn't handle Owen alone, he couldn't commit to raise him (Victor basically did the job for him). Truth is, if the writers had decided to get Charlie and Kirsten back together a few episodes earlier, they'd have been Owen's adoptive parents just like they were before (Falsies), and also the parents for Diana, so this episode, Judgment Day, would have never existed.

It seems producers loved Sallingers' arguments and drama

So did I. I even hated Claudia for taking Bailey's side and questioning Charlie's habits since his remission.
After everything he ever did!

I think it's funny how Bailey wanted Owen then when he get him he hired Victor to look after him
2 days in a row.
I feel spoiled. Lol
I love that Julia tried to mediate between them. She really grew up leaving Griffin and Ned.
This storyline was the worst. Bailey fights for custody then gives him back anyway. A caring guy but emotionally immature and self-righteous.
His Jeep, his hair, his hand.
Julia is the most suited to raise a child, when she’s not boy crazy
Out of my chair Meathead!!
Claudia was beyond annoying
Yes she was! And completely out of line for taking Bailey's side instead of Charlie's, after all he did for her.

Curb the Testosterone 😆👌🏽

Nah, you’re way wrong. Bailey drove drunk with Owen and almost killed Sarah, nothing Charlie did came close to that.
He wasn’t that good of guardian to his siblings because it’s wasn’t his job he was growing up along them
Learning right from wrong and maturing it came to him fast and was he still trying enjoy it he didn’t know how to be everyone struggled
