Love the architecture on the churches! Interesting to see the wood carvings on the graves. When we were in the Italian alps the graves all had photos on them of the deceased and that was something I hadn't seen before.
Poles have delicious soups, different types for everyone. I can't wait to come back to Poland for the summer season :) (im PL). I am glad that you had a nice time in Poland :)
Let's start off with that doughnut - looked incredible especially when you showed how fluffy it was inside. The views from the top of the mountain were amazing, definitely worth the relatively inexpensive funicular ride up! Plenty of options for the patch, looks like you got a couple of good ones! Love the restaurant you found, looks like some good traditional wholesome food. I want to know what happened on the way down? After drinking that alcoholic tea did Will change into his Santa outfit and ride on top of the funicular? Was that a little clue at the end as to what will be next? If so I think I might have a suspicion! Great video guys!
Loved the doughnut! View was great from the mountain top. Glad we went during the day. That may be the largest selection of patches we have ever found. Very traditional food; even more options if you eat meat. We only carry backpacks around so that we have room for santa claus and other outfits. You will recognize a lot from this series. Thanks Matt!
Right, here we go, sorry we’ve been a bit behind. Starting off with doughnuts…excellent stuff!!! That church looks beautiful and lovely shots. The carvings and candles are lovely. Ooh, love a funicular, it looks gorgeous up there. What stunning scenery, wow!! So glad you got your patches / magnets, bargain!!! Nice Smokey cheese, mmmm, looks great. Strawberry jam and cheese????….chilli jam, yes, but strawberry jam 😂😂. That restaurant looks beautiful, totally the sort of place we would hunt out. The highland tea looked excellent and the prices very good indeed! Salad looks pretty good too. Those shots after the restaurant are gorgeous. We really loved that!!! Top work both x
Better late than never! Sorry for the double posting this month. Making it more challenging. We need to funicular more. Surprisingly this is the first time we saw such a magnet / patch combo. We'll have to try chilli jam and cheese next time. We also saw a red chilli mulled wine in the store. You lads ever had that? We probably need to eat more salads and less doughnuts lol. Poland is gorgeous. Thanks! CHEERS!! 🍻
This is definitely the winter capital of Poland! So cool you guys are there, love everything about this place. You're also so close to Slovakia! Some of the food you tried in that market reminds of Lithuania (where Kristina is from), really love that cheese! Also the potato pancake is delicious, such a classic food there with garlic from time to time as you had it! I resonate with you so much as we're also both Vegetarians so this is challenging in certain countries, particularly in Eastern Europe... but there's always potato, mushroom and salad there anyway haha :) As always, amazing content guys, keep it up!!
We are loving Poland so far! That is so cool that the food is similar to Kristina's home. These food is delicious! Plenty of "non-meat" options. Thank you so much Ale!
Love this--I fortunately have had PLENTY of Polish donuts and that one Will snarfed looked amazing! And, as always, I really appreciate how you try to pick up the language (tak, tak--my father in law used to say that all the time).
The doughnuts here are SO GOOD! We like to at least be able to say some the basics. We know 'yes, no, goodbye, hello, thank you.' Even though we don't know a lot, people really appreciate when foreigners can say SOMETHING in the local language. That is so cool your father used to say that a lot. I guess it's better than saying 'no' all of the time lol.
Still seeing the beautiful mountains and clouds in the background that alone must be a wonderful experience just the majestic look of it all and at the donut shop usually you see donuts with holes in them but their the shape was rectangular looking very unique and the historic church their what I have seen my whole life is no matter what country you visit all over this beautiful world jesus is still lord and king of king's that's the one thing you will never escape because their is always gonna be somebody worshiping him in every country and the funicular transportation was awesome I never seen that type before I am usta seeing the individual swings this is so much better I like it a lot they don't have snow here in florida so I was impressed by it and actually the market was very impressive really nice and clean and the cheese vendor knew her job was very knowledgeable and I agree never can go wrong with a good salad and soup so witytravels from top to bottom this has been an absolutely incredible experience including the wonderful people of zakopane poland in the land of the highlanders ⛄⛄
This area of Poland is gorgeous! We have seen doughnuts here since then and most of them are circular. Not sure why these were rectangular. The lady selling the cheese was so nice! Never had a soup and salad this good! 🙏 ❤️ ❤️
W zupie grzybowej są łazanki = inaczej mówiąc kwadratowe kluski. Można je jeść również w zapiekankach z kapustą - świetne danie po nartach, kiedy straciliśmy dużo kalorii. To danie narciarzom dodaje sił. Ser oscypek, którego próbowaliście na bazarze, warto skosztować na ciepło z grilla z powidałmi z żurawiny. Bardzo was polubiłam. Zapraszamy do Polski.
When it comes to clothes in Zakopane, it's a typical outfit for their region, their regional clothes that their grandparents used to wear. Similar customs (extensive regional dissimilarity, including other dishes and another dialect - still Polish, but slightly modified) have: Kashubians and Silesians. Thanks to them our country seems even more interesting ;) Remember that there are ski slopes in the mountains and you can ski or snowboard there ;) This is the biggest attraction during the winter. Don't worry about how you eat, sometimes we use our hands, not just cutlery, feel free ;) A lot of people who live there make cheese, so I would trust that the restaurant doesn`t cheat its guests because it is very easy to distinguish the taste of sheep's cheese from that of a cow. Rather, the restaurant has a stock of this sheep's cheese ;) possibly self-produced. I recommend asking the waitress next time, I'm sure someone would answer your question :)
Hey Ami! Thank you for these clarifications. We love these customs! The cheese on the salad certainly tasted like sheep's cheese. Makes sense that they would have a large stock of it. Very delicious! ❤️ 🇵🇱
Next destination can be Opole for one day, Wrocław, from there to Książ castle, then Poznań (unfortunetly under construction), Gdańsk and tricity, going back to Toruń old town (is a must), Warszawa, Lublin. You would see some of Poland realy ;D From Tricity you can go to lake district (Elbląg, Olsztyn, Mrągowo, Mikołajki) have fun guys!
You know, I don't want to spoil your good memories of our sweets, but you probably haven't read how donuts are made. In terms of the donut itself, of course, there is no meat, but it is fried in lard, because then it tastes best. I don't know if this bothers you or not because I've seen you eat cheese, so maybe animal fat too.
W wielu domach i w moim też kiedy chleb spadnie na ziemię to go podnosimy i całujemy. Wiem, że to dziwne ale tak było od wieków. Pozdrawiam serdecznie :)

Amazing architecture for the churches here. Yea, we have not seen pictures on the tombs either.
That food looked soooo good! I wanna try that tea hahaha!
you ain't ready for that tea! 🍵🤪
We love Poland and would love to make it to Zakopane next time we visit - Andie’s Mom has spoken of it a lot!
Yes, you must visit Zakopane next time!
Poland 😮
Thanks for sharing my friend ☝️✅🙏💯

OH MY WORD!!! What and absolutely gorgeous place! Love the drone footage! And sign me up for those Nutella pastries ;-)
Thank you! Yes, to all the Nutella options. The drone did some quality work out there. Poland is so beautiful!

We really liked it! Thanks for the comment though.
