Seems like current graphics cards can't run 3440x1440 120+ fps , for even High Settings in most games. But great to see these games running on Linux so well!
Amazing video I'm already using Linux with EndeavourOS, but I have a GTX 670 with a 3570k xD. I need to update the PC and I'm thinking in the 6700XT with 5800X3D. Thanks you a lot for this video!
Are you capturing the screen on the same machine? It's quite pixelated tbh. I want to buy RX 6800 XT once prices will get better and the only thing that makes me concerned is video encoding ability. Having RX 570 at the moment, VA-API does not work at all (I get 1 frame per few seconds) and I've spent quite a while trying out other solutions without any success. I'm only able to encode on CPU, but it looses quiality a lot and I was wondering if the situation is any better with RDNA2.
Im very new to Linux and still getting the hangs of it. This is impressive from what I've read online about gaming on Linux. Could you please tell me what distro you are using, and the packages you have installed for the games to run as shown?
@@byronfoodjikla Manjaro is an distribution based on Arch. Just a distribution with arch with a desktop environment, drivers and applications pre installed. It's arch but less harder to set up as it has a GUI for installing.
It's okay, not the best. The 120hz freesync is cool, but I had an IPS monitor and I have currently an oled TV next to it, so the colours look so washed out on the Xiaomi. I have spent a bit of time to calibrate it, but it's not perfect. I got used to it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Is there any good way to get good preformance on intel with nvidia gpu? My specs: i5 9400f 16 ram gtx 1080 I've heard that nvidia with intel sucks at linux, would want to know is it true or nah. Just wanna try linux gaming if you know what I mean.
Installing proprietary nvidia drivers can be a real pain, but this is the only way to achieve good performance. You definitly should install that. I myself had no issues afterwards. Also, activate KMS to prevent screen tearing, it is not enabled by default
Dude, why do you prefer linux for gaming? When I searching I see that you can take more fps on windows os than linux. I can't understand. Can you tell me what is going on? Why do you use linux for gaming?
Because Linux is a very lightweight OS for Work and for Fun with so much support but sadly corporations dont support it that much thats why they have optimized it for games alot but its also a miracle and a very good progress in just 2-3 years to make 87% of Games in steam work perfectly thats an achievement also youre coming from windows so all you care is gaming so i reccomend you to search Linux Distros so you can see the options you can do with them have a good day
First of all, don't say "Linux" as a whole. Linux Mint isn't the same as Gentoo. Don't say "Linux is hard" when Linux = Gentoo. Be more specific, as some distros are less user-friendly than other distros. Personally I prefer Arch, but Ubuntu based distros are good for beginners (Zorin OS, Linux Mint). A good beginner-friendly Arch distro is Manjaro. Arch Linux: > lightweight > btw I use Arch > cool logo ig Zorin OS (Ubuntu based): > great for beginners > familiar interface > using GNOME, not sure if you want it. Windows: > Can run most software and games (only good thing I found about Windows honestly.). > not free > Telemetry > Universal Microsoft backdoor > Privacy issues (Microsoft can track you because of telemetry) > Not customizable

Thanks, and it is getting better.
Any game except opengl but it has some work around

That's why fsr in my opinion is key
it have to be really satisfying to run games like that on Linux. Hope more games will support vulkan in next years
Thanks for making this benchmark! Anyway do you got some estimation about the fps I could get with this GPU using Windows?

Have you had any luck getting Battle-Eye games to work? I'd switch from Windows if I could get Escape from Tarkov running on Linux.
Not yet. Looks like we gonna have anticheat support before Steam Deck launches
I run siege on POP OS
Great video, I hope more games support Vulkan.
How the hell did you get all those games running. I've barely got 3. 😂😂
Just kidding. Great work
Wow, Amazing man.
Thanks
I play warframe on high and it goes to 165 stable but on certain occasions they give me drops to 90 I play on Windows 11 any solution

Yes on the same pc. Not ideal, but this is what is.
Tbh AMD's encoder is not the best, but better than vaapi.
have you used or being able to use ray tracing is some of the games compatible with?
Do you use tkg-pds kernel with futex2 patch? You may try to use proton-ge or proton-tkg with futex2 patch, this may give you more perfomance.
Yes, I do

What desktop enviroment did you use with these benchmarks?

Great work.
Thank you
Ultrawide is awesome
Yes, but I can't wait for consoles to start supporting such monitors!
Sorry for asking because its unrelated to your video. But how's your Xiaomi monitor experience going? Are you satisfied?

Why do these people do it on “optimized” we know it will run the game . We need to see how it does at ultra .
if you use Wayland, then + ~30-40 fps
