Yeah, I always find the word 'Obedience' to be very rigid. I find no comfort from it. Thanks guys for making it come across less like I just described.
@@johntrevett2944 Good question. I think we have to be careful to be to hasty to call someone not saved or not a brother in Christ if someone believes salvation can be lost. I have believed it some years. But the last 3 a 4 years God has restored grace, and deeper than before. I'm +/- 12 years walking with Him now. So works salvation can be among God's children. What i do find hard to imagine is that if someone belongs to God that God lets that person believe works salvation his entire life.
@@halilalexanderzeverboom6872 But aren't we commanded to mark and avoid those that come to us with another gospel. Anyone that claims works saves you/keeps you saved doesn't believe the gospel and preaches a cursed one. It's no different than Roman Catholicism, Mormonism etc.
@@johntrevett2944that is a good point. But here is the deal: _Free Grace_ theology teaches that if a person believes in Christ alone even for one second, that person is forever sealed *regardless* of their actions/beliefs afterwards. So if a person believed in Christ alone (again, even for one second), then falling into "works-based salvation" afterwards is just another sin that gets covered anyways. So yeah, a person that believes you can lose your salvation IS saved (per Free Grace theology).
Yeah I discovered Theocast recently and immediately thought they were _Free Grace_ . I then learned they were reformed Baptists (which is kinda ironic since FGT archenemy is Calvinism). I do think they dance dangerously close to FGT. In fact, I have noticed that majority of Theocast viewers are _Free Gracers_
@@tomtemple69_Free Grace Theology_ started using that term in reaction to the heresy of _Lordship Salvation_ (both being a result of dispensationalism) All this is sad because the overwhelming majority of Protestants believe Grace is free, but since FGT took that name, it might seem that if you don't agree with FGT, then you are "against" free grace, which is a fallacy.
Now that I know God, I obey not because I have to, but because I love Him and I want to.
Amen!
"The only way you walk by the Spirit is by means of the gospel". I've very much experienced this!
Mt brother in Christ directed me to Theocast, such truth in these guys, time for me to join the theocast community. Keep it up fellas!

This is truth
Can a born again believer lose salvation?
No, the root of this thought is fear based.
@@halilalexanderzeverboom6872 Are those that hold to the belief that they can lose salvation brothers in Christ?

You said Brother John “the third PART of the god “ did you mean the third person of the trinity?
That's partialism, Patrick!
I love excuse to bring in Conal and Donal from Lutheran Satire.
They wanna be free grace so bad
grace is free.... do you think something else is required to be saved?
