| Anatolia's Mercenary is a Lynx from the independent colony Anatolia. Originally a Raven, he became Anatolia's guardian Lynx following the advent of Pax Economica, wherein he partners with Emill Gustav and Fiona Jarnefeldt to support the colony by performing missions for corporations. When the Lynx War breaks out, his reputation skyrockets as he participates in many of the conflict's key events.
| By the time of the Economic War more than a decade later, he is referred to by his custom-made NEXT's name, White Glint. He is the only Lynx and the ace-in-the hole of Line Ark, a maritime city-state that opposes the League of Ruling Companies. Although he is only Rank 9 in Collared's Lynx roster, the corporations consider him too powerful for any single NEXT to take on, to the point that his presence is the only thing that prevents the League from outright annihilating Line Ark.
| The Spirit of Motherwill (abbreviated as SOM) is a gargantuan walking hexapod Arms Fort created by the Bernard and Felix Foundation. Designed like an aircraft carrier with legs and bristling with a multitude of homing missile launchers and machine guns, several long-ranged cannons, and many Normal units, Motherwill is a walking fortress with a total length of 2,400 meters and an overall height of 600 meters. Heavy armor makes this AF indestructible from the outside; however, its design is fundamentally flawed - destroying the main gun batteries, missile silos, and defensive guns causes uncontrollable internal fire to Motherwill. Enough destruction of these devices may cause the main reactor cooling system to fail or ignite the main gun battery ammunition stowage, effectively causing the AF to explode.

It is the 13th installment of From Software's Armored Core series. Armored Core: For Answer is the sequel to Armored Core 4, and takes place around ten years later. | The planet is in a decrepit and decaying state. Pollution from not only human habitation, but from the hazardous waste given off by Kojima particles released during the LYNX War, has caused the surface of the earth to become virtually inhospitable. The remaining corporations from the Pax Economica formed a new group called "The League of Ruling Companies" or "The League" for short. In desperate need of a solution, they build airborne habitats called "Cradles" to house a majority of the populace - safeguarding them from the contaminated surface below. Some however, are forced to live on the surface. A few NEXT pilots have learned of the corporations' dark secrets and formed the rebel group known as ORCA to wage war against the League. Piloting the cutting-edge Armored Cores known as NEXTs, the player is thrust into the middle of the conflict between the corporations and ORCA. Each faction now controls super weapons known as "Arms Forts" that the player must battle against.

@@BansheeNT-D Differences are that Killdozer is present, there are more missile pods to destroy, and the missiles deal WAY more damage if you're not careful. I've seen times where the initial missile barrage at 0:50 dropped someone from full AP to 0 almost instantly.

After playing this game I feel like a professional mecha pilot. In honestly enjoying it too much...
I wish that many of the armor cores get ports or remasters that up resolution and things like that. I think 4 and 4A deserve to have remasters with multiplayer.
Emulators are nice but very flawed. The only other way to play is to buy a ps3 or xbox. Lol i might have to do that tbh.
