Hello and thank you for creating this video. After a few tweaks to the size of the side piece, I was able to complete the project. I used what i had in my stash of fabrics and stabilizer, which was Pelon 809, Extra Crispness. The cover stands up all by it's self!
Thank you Diane for this tutorial. I have the maker and had to adjust the measurements a bit. I added an extra 1 1/2 inches to the width (23" total) and an extra inch to your end pattern pieces. I'm happy with how it turned out. Thank you again!
Could I get the measurement of the end piece. I print mine at 100% and it comes out at about 14 1/2" (distance around top and sides) and it's obviously way too short for the 18-inch length of the of the rectangle it attaches to. If I could get the dimensions of the end piece, I can make it work. Thanks for the video and pattern.
Mine worked for me. By the time you curve the fabric around the curves it should fit. I went through several iterations of this before settling on this. Let me know if it still does not work once you have attached the fabric pieces together. You can photos on the blog at sewverycrafty.com/how-to-sew-a-cricut-maker-dust-cover/.
Apparently mine doesn't print at 100%. Mine looks way smaller than your pieces. If I had the measurement of the end piece, I could compare it to my printed copy to see if it is the same, then I could adjust if necessary. Otherwise, I will ease the end piece into the rectangle much like doing a sleeve. @@SewVeryCrafty Thank you for your reply. Enjoyed your video.
Thank you, yep! mine didn't print that size so I'll adjust. Looking forward to making this project and thank you for generosity in sharing. Have a blessed day. @@SewVeryCrafty
The pattern pieces I printed from your website seem much smaller than yours. Is that correct? Also, the maker is approximately 22 inches but the fabric will be cut at 21 1/2. Just wanted to confirm before I cut.
@@sheilabartolac225 I have the Maker 3 which is only 21". If yours is 22" then cut it 22 1/2" to accommodate seam allowance. I am not sure why the pattern pieces seem smaller. Did you print them at 100%. That is odd.
I need help!! ...I cut my cover 23" x 18" and added an extra inch to the bottom of the printed out end pattern after finally getting it to 100%, but when I pin it all together I have an extra inch at the bottom hanging down. I've pinned and un-pinned and checked my measurements and I want to get this done. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
@@sheilabartolac225 Hi Sheila, thanks for getting back to me. I don't have a cricut machine I'm making a cover for my daughter who lives up North, I'm in SC.She has the cricut maker. I followed the instructions exactly. I added an inch to the bottom of each of the side pieces because I cut the material 23x18 and I added the 4" pocket just like the video shows. Can you tell me the exact length of and width of the pocket, maybe it's still not printing right but it fits when I add it. Maybe that extra inch will get taken up when I sew it together?
@@SewVeryCrafty because It didn't come out right and I saw that a lady modified hers and it worked.... My daughter just told me now that she has the cricut maker 3 😩😩I thought she just had the cricut maker. I'm not familiar with the circuits, I sew but I don't have a cricut machine. I liked your video more that others I've looked at. I'm trying so hard to just make her a cover.
@Patricia Stahlecker I had the maker and I needed to adjust my measurements as the maker is longer and wider than the maker 3. I believe the measurements in this video are for the maker 3 so you should be good with the measurements in this video

Great job! I am glad it worked out for you. I love mine.
What should the length and width be for the end pieces. I printed and used the template you included. However, it appears to be too small . Thank you.
The pattern pieces that I provided are the ones that used. I am not sure why they appear small.
🔥🔥🔥This is the nicest cover I've seen on any tutorial!!🤩🤩 I can't seem to find the pattern for the project (side panels) anywhere. Do you have a link?

It is about 6" on the bottom x 15 1/4" around the curves.

I would like to see how you cut out the side pieces, there are no measurements on the pattern piece.
I simply placed the pattern piece on the fabric and cut out two pieces.

@@SewVeryCrafty thank you so much for your quick reply. I am excited to try and make this. I am going to try to print the pieces again.
@@SewVeryCrafty i reprinted it from this site and it is definitely larger. Not sure what I did wrong the first time.

What type of machine (cricut)do you have? Did you add the inch to the end piece or the middle? I think you would need to add the inch to both pieces
