Viking Yachts 92 C Open bridge / Convertible first launched and delivered this vessel in 2016 as "Sweet Tuna" to its first owner. Then was put up for sale by HMY Yachts and sold in 60 days with a last known asking price of $8,750,000 back in 2022. New owners renamed her "Pastime".... As the story goes the hired Captain was transporting the yacht from Palm Beach Florida down to Fort Lauderdale on 11/3/2023 at 13 :00 EST. Winds were coming in from the East at 20mph and wave hight about 8 feet. Everything was fine until just south of Boynton Inlet when the captain started to experience engine issues. For about 2 hours they tried to get power back up and running but were unsuccessful. Attempts were made to deploy the bow Anchor but also unsuccessful. She ended up beached in Delray Beach Florida in the area all the way east from the i95 Exit 51 Linton Blvd. This footage was shot on Day 3 of the rescue attempt by Tow Boat US continues Sunday morning 10/5/2023 07:00 EST. And As of 10/5/2023 at 15:10 EST she was successfully tugged back out to sea successfully. No one was hurt or injured in this incident. The Captain and Crew were so fortunate to land where they did, soft sand, and not on rocks or structures. Great Job Alfred.
That soft sand in the surf can still do plenty of damage. We were born and raised on the Outer Banks of NC and my husband is a tugboat engineer/ relief captain.
Oh yeah well it’s floating and fine again the rocks would have been a total loss!
It took me three days to finish watching this video, awesome job Alfred for capturing this And huge respect for TOW BOAT US. 👍👍👍👍👍
Please Thank the Mrs. And the Family for understanding what a great service Alfred is doing. You should be proud of Him. Chit Show is a giant vault of knowledge for anyone who is on the water.
"If you want to do jumping jacks, this is the spot". I applaud your effort sir!
What an Awesome video, Thanks for the update on the Recovery….Keep us entertained! 🤠
Daniel is awesome. He deserves at least 9.50 an hour for his great commentary.
😂
Come on now I’m pushing for $10!
@@danielsoutdoors ... OK, best and final offer. $9.75
Audio perfect❤
This just goes to show anything can happen to anyone on the water no mater how much money have or don't have, thank goodness no one was hurt or lost thier life. 🙏🙏🙏
Ocean Doesn’t Care Who You Are 🌊
@@eamonshields2754💯 %!
You are right. Our entire family is either in the Coast Guard, commercial fishing, or Capt and engineering on a push tug and a pulling tugboat. In NC the national park service sometimes can step in. When any part of the vessel is in water, the USCG still has jurisdiction.
This has exposed a flaw in the boats design. Even though they "lost power" the anchor can be released in a freefall. However the safety chain / snubber was attached which prevented the anchor from dropping. In the event of rough seas and an emergency where it needs to be dropped, it's not safe to walk to the bow to release the snubber. The anchor locker and snubber should be reachable and operable from inside the FWD cabin.
Agreed
Pretty sure it is possible to reach the anchor locker and windlass from inside this boat. Question: in you statement above, why did you put quotes around the words lost power? Do you have a reason to believe he did not lose power?
It can be, when under pwr, no engine requires manual release. 😖😤 Gottit? 👌 Ok then.
I only used quotes because that was the report at the time and I was referring to information provided by others. I have no confirmation they did or did not loose power. Also, "lost power" could refer to electrical, engine(s), or both.
If the anchor locker can be reached from inside this model, I would wonder why the captain did not disconnect the snubber. Perhaps after the anchor was manually released (as can be seen in the video) he was then unable to release the snubber from the inside due to the weight of the anchor hanging on it.
@@johnbaker4847 Who are you responding to?
Alfred, I loved the way you pulled all these oddballs off the beach and put them to work on the Chit Show! Very entertaining! I’m totally through with the big three media groups in every way. Keep up the great work!!
GOODLUC2U
That ending was epic brother I didn't know you made it back for it but I'm glad you did
Great job, Alfred... Thanks to you too for the hard work... We appreciated.. keep up the good work.👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks Javier
I'd like to see you find where they took that boat and what it looks like out of the water and how much damage it got from beaching. 😎👍⚓
After they offloaded the fuel & oil, a few people said surprisingly it didn't look that bad. Radio chatter said it appeared it wasn't taking on any water either while being towed back.
I think the props & shafts are at least partially tunneled on that boat so hopefully that helped.
Google's your friend. There are pictures of it in dry dock already. Damaged prop, rudder and gelcoat. It's all fairly minimal. They got lucky.
@@desotosky1372 you think the props are toast? Of coarse they are
one of your best...wow!
Great job Larry, nice to see your still at it
Alfred, reading the narrative above I see the dates list October instead of November. We realize the dates now but viewers in a few years will need to know the grounding was 11/3/23.
Congrats - Nice job, guys. 👍
Awesome, awesome video Alfred thanks for sharing from Arizona City, Az. ok now lets get back closer to home at Black Point Marina.
Great video Alfred! Thanks for playing the long game and capturing the win!
Always Entertaining 😎
Classic indeed . The young person going out to gather in the initial tow line , kudos to you indeed , thought they would have used a chopper to establish the tag point.. I was there when the Pasha Bulka a freighter was taken of Newcastle beach NSW Australia was a moment I will never forget as I saw the salvage crew and the sparks as they cut the tethers and sea anchors.
Pretty good video with the sound turned off and using the FF button.
THATS NOT 92 FEET LONG
MAYBE 1992 YR
I love listening to Alfred, he's such an excitable quirky guy. Without Alfred, it's just another boring day at the beach.
I have done lots of recovery over the years what they need to do is dig under it and place air bags right at the hull so when the high tides come in it will lift it high enough to clear the props so they can pull it out
😂😂😂
A sport fisher of this size has at least a 4.5 ft draft. These boats usually have a keel. The rudders and engine shafts, props are done.
I think it is partially tunneled on that boat. Hopefully that helped mitigate damages.
Always carry a stern anchor Fx125. 300' stern rope.
Overall a good job. I was a bit nervous though when the two workers walked up behind the bow's tow line cleats with the tow line under tension (1:47:12 mark). Especially dangerous since the two bow lines connected to the single tow line with steel shackles close to the bow.
Props to whoever installed the front cleats on that boat.
Props (new ones) to the boat!
@@thedevilinthecircuit1414 lol, shafts and rudders too! And a list of other stuff, going to be a big bill.
Them guys standing on the bow under that high tention cable
Wow that was great coverage of the recovery. 👏
I'm watching and pushing the Viking from Tenerife Spain, great job TowBoats US and thank you for the video Alfred
You didn't show how they turned it around ! All the sudden its pointed out to sea ! Bummer !
Alfred had left to do a number 2. He could not hold it anymore.
Can’t believe the guy was on the deck with that much tension on the line
Final destination part 6 coming soon
Love this video. My son just moved from DelRay. Would have been a good reason to come visit. We’d sit & watch this sort of thing all the time on Indian Shores on much smaller scale. As the waves hit,it causes a suction. Look up the sailboat stuck on Fort Desoto beach in the 80s. Very cool
Wow, what riviting stuff! Thanks for a great show!
Accidents happen; The wind and sea conditions were extremely rough last weekend. It’s a shame that this happens to anyone regardless of the circumstances! There has been much speculation, so thank you very much to Alfred for giving us the correct facts (sharing on my channel now)

Who/what "Had no business being out" where and when?
Why did who/what have "...no business being out" there?
If you had seen the seas several days prior and on that day you'd know what I'm talking about!@@lt1nut
Only just started watching this is the 4th loving your share...other 3 eps is where Fred lurks❤
The Daniel and Alfred Show
Awesome!!
I think Fred the Croc would pull it out..... you guys are funny as heck!!
Curious about the hardware for the anchor...would any of the hardware attached to the anchor have greater tension strength than a cleat? Example, the windless attachment to the vessel? I am sure they worked with Viking to determine the strongest hardware point for pulling the vessel. Great job to all involved.
Nice to see Daniel and Alfred working together for CocodriloNews
Thanks we had a lot of fun!
Another great video Alfred. I kept looking for Capt Andy to come walking down the beach, oh well. Good job though!
beautiful boat
i cant stop laughing. :) You too make a great team
Thank you Alfred for showing what happens in Miami
Same thing. Find what yard they take her to and get some footage of the running gear and such, please.
Wow Incredible video thank you very much
You guys would make the funniest news reporters.
You’re the best brother, love all your videos! Does anyone know what actually happened to cause this? I heard mains completely shut down and gens, virtually impossible, but can happen. Was it a delivery, vessel’s captain, delivery captain, Viking captain? Can’t wait to hear the truth if we ever do!! Keep up the great videos!
Alfred fantastic video, lots of laughs and great action. Jeff in LA USA
Great video
Hush-hush Daniel
At work watching this, what a great way to Pastime. 🎉
Such a wild thing
And this is why I buy Tow BoatUS insurance! They were there in a hurry when nature grounded my sailboat. As professional as the crew in the video. Brilliant job!
Great coverage Alfred! Sometimes you have no idea what preparations need to be put in place before you actually try to tow a massive vessel like that. Hit that LIKE BUTTON!
Too much blah, blah, blah. This could have been an easy 12 min video worth watching....and probably give you more battery time!!!
I beginning to enjoy this chanel took me two videos to turn the sound of hey Mike your right much more enjoyable with no sound. Great idea thats bro.
only Alfred can do these videos...so awesome
Alfred brings up a good point, " ... why didn't the captain drop anchor..? " yeah it was windy, they could tie a rope on the person going to the bow to release the anchor. if he falls overboard, the other crew can pull him back into the boat.
another far-fetch reason is insurance fraud. Two motors going down on a brand new boat is very unlikely .. the captain no dropping anchor is unlikely .. unless there was a plan to destroy the boat and collect insurance..I love conspiracy theories ..
Daniel is sooo funny! He's a natural on the screen.
This is Alfred's B I G G E S T - C H I T - S H O W over the last 10 years!
Great 🎥 love to hear the waves
That's a terrible safety flaw if you can't get safely to release the anchor that's a joke
Yeah man cool .. great workers
@35:13 😂😂 "how many things you want me to hold?"
You two shd work/play together more often.
Hilarious! Too cute!
Back in the day I had a 43 foot Viking aft cabin
I could set and retrieve my anchor from the windlass from the flybridge
It's the snubber that prevented the anchor to be dropped.
I understand the halon system went off and shut power down.
It has a great paint job..
Great story Alfred!
It sure was ! I'm glad you enjoyed Mike
Seriously you recorded for 2 hours and you missed the most important part.
Wow
I hope they will be safe doing that move!!! Please be safe!!
Buddy at 4:00 is absolutely hilarious!
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 GREAT video. VERY enjoyable 👌 🏄
It's a shame that this happened. Such a beautiful vessel.
There is absolutely no excuse why, even well before leaving the dock, that ground tackle would not have been thoroughly prepped to be immediately deployed no matter what sea condition is forecast. If you work on the water never ignore the old saying, hope for the best but plan for the worst.
do you know the whole story captain?
Alfred, I have the highest respect for you and what you do with your videos and also for the community. With that said please don't take my critique personal big guy. The only fault that I find with your videos is when you are interviewing or sharing the mic with a guest, you tend to talk over them and/or cut them off half stream. I completely understand that you cannot let them ramble or steal the show, but you need to find a happy middle ground and let them complete their thoughts or at least finish their sentences. Thanks again for the awesome job that you do Brother.
A new job for Alfred very believable News commentary 😊
GREAT JOB DUDE !
Tow boats us wow amazing, you to Alfred thanks for the coverage
I love the first minute 😆
Fantastic video! 😊
😂😂😂 You guys are something else. Love watching you
Great video. Singer island in Fla also had a beach boat for months. It was abandoned there since early 2023. I don’t know if it’s still beached to this day.
Thanks for filming this! How much you think the bill going be for that guy???
What a beautiful boat, it just goes to show that chit happen to any boat😢
Lol blame it on giligan. He was probably in the stateroom with mrs Howell 😂😂😂
Boat stands for break out another thousand lol.
Palm beaches Paul! He’s the man!
I finally got to see your camera set up on Palm Beach Pauls UA-cam video of the grounding of the 92 Viking at 20 minutes and 50 seconds, would you be able to describe your equipment from the tripod up, thanks
This big Viking must have pocket shafts for the running gear, should help with the salvage. At least the running gear doesn’t have to be removed.
That was an EXPENSIVE resuce but glad to see her floating to freedom.
Fun and interesting video!
Nice video and narrating. Tough job and they did great. Healthy tow fee Im sure.... $$$$$
Great content as usual
Alfred, one of your best. What an amazing effort to get that huge boat off the beach.
Alfred, can you stop talking for a goddamn second
It's hard
Great Video. As long as you watch it on mute and switch from 01:00 to 1:56:00
Clear great job bro
Love it ❤❤❤
Fast forward and muted 90% of this video. Thanks for posting it anyway.
Per your mention of Heavy-D --- Watching him wrestle this ship back into deep water would indeed be EPIC, however I wouldn't bet on the condition of the ship afterwards. Although after seeing @wavyboats first video on this I'm not sure I'd bet on it anyway.
Hey all… why so much buffering?
All clear!
LET'S,GET THIS GIRL REFLOATED !!!!!!!
1:33:16 they are probably pumping out the fresh water tanks now Alfred
I bet it has a fresh water generator
this video is great to watch as long as u totally mute the audio!
