Epic stuff-I particularly like this transition stage in Miles' music because some of the very finest musicians in Miles' orbit were involved. I also like very much the funk stuff with the likes of the great Michael Henderson, Keith Jarrett and Gary Bartz and even some of the later music but this killer rhythm section ticks all the boxes for me.
Yes. This is the First Set...of the TWO recorded on March 6th...and the Second, being released on the 'Its About That Time 2CD. The second disc, if I remember correctly was one set from the 7th. Now, Sony/Legacy/Columbia SHOULD RELEASE the Entire Stand, at the Fillmore East, that weekend March 1970. We'll see...
Miles was the opening act for Neil Young and Crazy Horse on this bill...what an amazing line-up for an average ticket cost of $3.25-$5.50 at the Fillmore East...!!
This was before Chick found L. Ron Hubbard. Why do I mention that? Because I recently what a controlling loon Chick was as a bandleader- at least, in Bill Connor’s experience. Anyway, on electric piano Chick was a force of nature. His playing pianistically but exploiting the unique sound of the Rhodes.

Miles Davis 69-73 is some of my favorite music.
Was there. Junior in HS. Always said I wish I could hear this again. WOW.
This likely was the last Miles Davis band that played a standard (“I Fall in Love Too Easily”) tune.
And the version here is very abstract.
Awesome
This is too good not to be released officially!
I agree!
Music from the next night was, on Black Beauty: It's About That Time.
@@randyhutton9371 No black beauty was on April 10th, with Grossman on sax. This is still Wayne and was in march.
