Good stuff. Most valuable takeaway is at 3:10 - adjusting the ride height collar also adjusts preload...no way around that. Thank you for calling that out.
TEIN is probably cheaper since they have been doing this for a long time. They have the tools and could mass produce. MPP customer service is superb though. I would support MPP cause they R&D their tesla and test it on the track.
I was all set to buy the MPP comforts but I’m interested in the Teins. Anyone install these yet? I know the MPP is very solid and improves the ride quality while lowering and reducing body roll.
@EVS Motors, I’m interested in TEIN Coilovers for my Model Y. Do you expect TEIN flex to be pretty durable? I’m just your average driver with some spirit here and there. I’m planning to keep my Model Y 100K+ miles. I’m looking for durability and low maintenance. I had my Model 3 on T-Sportline Springs for 60k miles without any issues.
Sooo I have a 2019 Stealth Performance Model 3. As far as suspension would it would be the same as a dual motor car? Any TEIN Coilovers options available for my car?
Are you sure the ride quality/spring rate on the MPP's are affected by lowering the ride height as the springs should be constant rate over the entire range.
Preloading does not change spring rate but preload does change the force to start moving the shock and high preload dramatically reduces shock performance over smaller bumps and makes for a more harsh ride and worse traction… from google

glad you found it valuable
I believe the arms of Tein are stamped and wielded instead of cast Aluminum on MPP.
Teins also use a hydraulic bump stop instead of the yellow rubber one in the mpp. Makes a difference on large bumps when the shocks bottom out.

Awesome, since those mpp coilover are aimed for comfort, a comfort ride quality comparison will be great to see.
Yep how's the ride comparison?

We'll be installing these soon
@@EVSMotors please do the video! I’m in the market right now and it would help alot
What a great video! Thank you for putting this together!
You're welcome!
I had a set of TEIN SS (Super Street) for my 1996 Honda Accord back in the day. LOL.
Can the Tein EFDC active control and motor kit be installed as well on the Y Tein coilovers?
How do these compare tothe stock M3 performance suspension? Im looking for something that will improve ride quality without losing performance.
Better
How do you adjust the damping on the teins once they’re installed? Do the dampers have to come off?
It's a bit of work to do so compared to other brands like Ohlins Road and Track
Hi, What’s do you recommend for 2023 MYLR 20” wheel? I want reduce noise as much as possible. Thank you in advance!
Go 18's if that's your priority.

We haven't had it installed on a car and driven 100K+ miles on it so only time will tell.

lol just installing it to mine...
I have the same model and am looking to modify my suspension.
@@mocheen4837 I heard the MPP comfort coilovers are excellent, but I went with Tein because got a good deal.
I just ordered the Mountain Pass Coil Overs. They went on sale for $300 off. Will let you know how it goes.
I have the coilovers installed and the ride is pretty comfortable.
Great review 👍⚡🔋
thank yoooo :)
@@EVSMotors made me 2nd guess my MMP choice. Although I'm broke from my EV conversion....for now
@@chargeheadsuk nothing wrong with MPP, any is better than stock
@@EVSMotors MPP stuff is great I already have their spherical bearings
Any update on installing these and the ride quality comparisons to the Non-Adjustable MPP's?
We made a video on the first ride impressions with the Teins and MPP
