It simply doesn't get any better than this... Beyond perfection in every respect. I can't remember ever seeing anyone do those double fouettes so cleanly and on a dime. He reminds me of the first times I watched "Mischa' and "Rudy"...only more breathtaking. Truly awesome.
he has an engaging presence. he has charisma. he has nearly perfect lines (nobody is perfect). he has incredible speed, litheness, and skills. he is an intelligent dancer. he always seems to be pointing in the right direction. his arms are almost always symmetrical when they need to be. he always seems to be well balanced and on his toes. he has great artistic sensibilities. he has his parents' love and support. he is simply awesome. I can love ballet because of him. :)
Love his entrance; love his artistic interpretation of the role; his unhurried, precise movements; the little flourishes of his arms/hands - such a joy to watch.
This was absolutely stunning. I liked that he did not paddle the girl in her turns. It was dynamic but with aplomb and control. He almost made me cry in his variation. And their synchronicity was flawless.

I love how easy Maria makes this all look. Her fouettes are like butter, just perfectly smooth. I do wish she had a little more excitement to her dancing in this performance, but honestly, she's just flawless, she makes it look like she's also doing math calculations in her head or something while dancing, because it's so easy for her. Danill is as always angelic in his dancing, completely otherworldly. Truly a person who was born to dance.

When i first saw Daniil years ago in Don Quichote, my first thought was, this Is another Baryshnikov, in Artistry AND also body, physical similarity, style. Great dancer!! Beautiful performance!! Thank you!
Daniil Simkin is breath-taking. His technique, expression, interpretation of the role, ability to entertain and delight... all amazing. Of course, did any one notice the arches on his feet? The boy, sory, the man is excellence in ballet dancing. The only problem is... where can we see him live in the USA other than in NYC, Chicago, or LA? Come to Florida, Daniil.

The fun of being a balletomane is not finding criticism, but finding appreciation for all dancers. Even though Kochetkova is not as athletic as some other dancers, I find her very charming, and her slower fouettes look controlled.

After watching Nureyev perform that male variation at 4:03, I simply cannot take anyone else seriously. Not to say that this performance isn't absolutely amazing, but Nureyev's beastly magnetism is something that will be forever missed..
УДИВЛЯЕТ меня как родители могли его так академично выучить .....,дать уникальный апломб,вращение супер всех существующих звезд за последние 2 века ,чистота линий ,устойчивость в позах поражает все фантазии - это не реальное чувство меры ,интеллигентность поз .....Почему о нём не пишут ...,лишь потому что он не учился в великих школах ,у знаменитых педагогов??????? Я тоже удивлена не менее всех -как такое могло случиться ....??
Даня учился у папы, великого нашего танцовщика. Но это уже было не в России. Они работали в Вене. Даня не вылезал из зала. Чудесный мальчик. Но по-русски он не говорит... Гениальный мальчик.

Actually Maria Kochetkova, a great star at SF Ballet (a company that has an incredibly deep roster of amazing, world class ballerinas), is a great match for Daniil and more than his equal.
