Carlos Martinez, definitivamente ese avion es un McDonnell Douglas DC-9
Los unicos aviones con dos turbinas en los costados de la parte trasera y uno enfrente del timón de cola (rudder) son los DC-9 y DC-10

@@sergiogonzalez736 Tienes razón, La turbina del DC-10 esta montada directa sobre el timon y el exhaust se extiende hasta atrás
@@leopoldoorozco6518 y también la cola del dc 10 no es en T. y si lleva 2 de los 3 motores en las alas y el dc 9 es bimotor y los lleva a los costados de la cola y también tiene la cola en T
Man, what a beautiful aircraft. I love that livery. Clean & well maintained looking. The 727 is one of my favorites. I flew on one these (Areomexico) from LAX to Chihuahua. Landing there is a trip. Once the plane clears the volcano rim, it has to get rubber on the concrete asap. We landed so hard that the brakes locked up and we deplaned right at the end of the runway.

I remember well the mexicana 27's blasting(literaly)out of LAX! they had the big jt8d-17's and nada for hush kits. loved the pain my ears would get!!! cool vid!
Behind this Mexicana B727-264 is a China Airlines B747-409. If you go with Airline Alliances you get this result Aeromexico Skyteam is partners with China Airlines while the old Mexicana was Oneworld alliance with AA and AS. That means Mexicana Oneworld Emerald Members get AS and AA Admirals Lounge access the same way as AM Skyteam Elite plus gain access to CI lounges in Taipei Chiang Kai Shek airport but screwed by DL in the US.

Que recuerdos de los viajes casi siempre en un 727, el mejor de su época.
De hecho su flota para vuelos de corta y media distancia eran con puros 727 en los 60s 70s y 80s ya en los 90s empezaron a operar sus reemplazos A320 más tarde llegarían los A318 y A319

@StealthCessnaCombats It actually sounds more like a DC-9...its engines are basically the same as the DC-9. The MD-80 has engines that are a generation newer and much quieter. In any event, the MD-80's engines are JT8D derivatives, so the sound is still pretty similar, just slightly quieter.
defintively is DC9 the only planes with two engines in the back of the plane and one mounted in front of the rudder are DC-9 and DC-10

Aeromexico has never operated 727 aircraft on their fleet, you probably flew on a DC9 or MD80 0Heavy0Metal0.
0:25 was that a weird elongated non original equipment nosecone? It looks a bit strange. I flew on Mexicana airlines in the 80's as a teen and I honestly don't remember seeing one like this.
