I really have to say I love you guys❤️ you're teaching us so much ! about the different worlds that we live in 🌏 keep up the good work😀 . stay safe 👍👍👍👍
You could say that Delos videos, in most cases are akin to watching documentaries. Their resume in storyline, content and editing far surpasses others by leaps and bounds. Not only are they proven sailor's they are accomplished film producer's!
I really want to thanks Delos for all that they done for us or the things that they gave to us ! That was an honor to meet the crew and to sail with them. Also, thanks for the comments below, it makes me feel really happy , i don't know what to say. Live your dreams. Flo
Thanks for having Delos film and interview with you. I'm sure it was stressful and fun at the same time but for us viewers it was well worth it. Your adventure and love of sailing and your pal Naz really spark the heart for life. Thank you!
Votre bateau est super - félicitations. Vous êtes également une source d'inspiration car vous avez suivi vos rêves. J'espère venir et naviguer avec vous un jour. Caro
For all non-French people here, the "Brian is in the kitchen" joke at 20:05 comes from the first year of English as foreign language lesson all french kids went through in 6th grade. The lessons were a series of dialog between two kids Brian and Jenny and it went in small increments of simple sentences, with audio tapes to listen to and repeat after the narrator. The one people remember the most is when the mom ask to Jenny "Where is Brian?" and she replies this famous line. Millions of French kids repeated "Brian is in the kitchen" over years. Famous French comedian Gad El Maleh made a comedy sketch on this line! Too funny to see that on Delos more than 40 years after I repeated it in class!!!
Quand j'appris Francais nous avons dit "Jacques est dans la cuisine". Aussi, je suis desole pour mon Francais mauve. Je n'avais pas parle depuis vinte ans. English translation: We did the same thing when I learned French, except it was Jacques in the kitchen. Then I apologized because my French is shite, and I haven't used it in 20 years.
Lionel, reminds me of my French lessons as a kid: There was Monsieur Leduc, Madame Leduc, and their three children Jacques, Suzette and Marie-Claire. This family constantly participated in “tres role” antics to help teach the class a foreign language. The cause of most of the “amusant” was their little dog Pitou.
What makes this channel special is the fact the Delos crew takes the time to interview locals and other sailors to help further explain life around the world. 1 of my fav parts of the Delos sharing.
This episode is so incredible. The impact that Brian, Karin, and Brady have on the people they meet during their travels is shown so well in this episode when the year before you donated the worn out sail to two guys that were building a dream striving to build a better life. Fast forward a year later and you see how well your kindness has blossomed to fulfill both their dreams and you were able to see their success and show case their achievement. This is why I love watching SV Delos - It's not just about the sailing journey, the parties, and cool places to visit but also the interesting people you meet, interact with, receive kindness, and reciprocate with you own kindness. You are amazing. I am so glad when I found this channel around episode 200 and after a couple weeks of watching several episodes on the channel that I went back and watched it from the start. It was time well spent and has made a positive impact on my life. Fair Winds Florent and Nizaar - I hope you both are continuing to have a great life sailing in Nosy Be. And Fair Winds Delos - you are amazing.
no hate for any of the other sailing channels but, man, you guys just keep doing what you are doing. your videos are entertaining but most importantly inspirational. I appreciate the window into other cultures...what a wonderful world we are blessed with, and what beautiful people there are out there if you only take the time to know them. thank you beyond words!
That was a special episode if there ever was one !!! The Madagascar culture, the home made guitar, the old sails, the drone footage, the pans and zooms, the time lapses, holy crap the splashes of slow-mo. It's like the sweat spot on a tennis racquet, you have found a great recipe of filming and editing. It sure beats the hell out of my 40 hour work week. Thanks for this ear to ear Koop-aid smile that's all over my face.
It's good to see that some things haven't changed in Madagascar, like some of these sailing traditions, and peoples' vibes are so amazing. Can't wait to go back someday!
I'm an "old school" Delos tribe viewer I guess. Caught up on my videos when you guys went on hiatus in Australia. I'm re watching again a few months before buying my first cruising boat (fully inspired by you guys and lady) and these videos are still great. You managed to capture something magical that can only be acquired by certain people. Your kindness will be returned 10 fold. Safe passage, hopefully I will run into guys when I embark on my journey in the next couple years. Fair winds all Delos Tribe.
17:50 I need to learn how to cook. 😀 These guys are eating a feast in a handmade boat in the ocean off the coasts of Madagascar while I live in America with access to an abundance of food and I am eating toast.
So glad the the sails were able to be repurposed in a way that really helps someone so much. Thats just so cool. Happy sailing guys and gal see you next time.
No one else even comes close to your adventures. And you keep it so natural. Other channels are becoming too scripted for my tastes. I like seeing real life, unscripted and natural. Thanks for all you do. I really look forward to my Friday mornings with the Delos crew.
Oh my. When I saw your last episode I thought: "How are they going to top this?". But you guys just keep delivering, you deserve every bit off happiness. Soo much love from Sweden. Also, LOVE the chisel in the rudder at 18:37!
I really, really love this channel. There is no other channel out there where literally every video I'm just smiling from beginning to end. Sometimes it starts out slow, and I wonder if it'll be up to usual quality. It almost always exceeds. Respect. You guys have earned every bit of success that comes your way. Good people, always, and you guys just seem to attract other good people. Positive vibrations all around.
THANKS, IM LOVING IT, IM LEAVING TO GO OFF AROUND THE WORLD ,AGAIN,AFTER A LONG BREAK TO MUCH WATCHING YOU GUYS LIVING THE LIVE,AND ME SITTING HERE IN MY HOME SWEET HOME .WITH ALL MY WORLDLY BIT AND BOBS. THANKS AGAIN 420 NICE TIMES
Like every episode, the production gets better with everyone. I truly enjoyed viewing an example of what can be done with less. The rewards can be greater appreciated. To the ex French patriot, cheers for living your dreams. Also to the Delos crew, cheers for passing on your used sails. It's helping a Nobel cause. Once again, fair winds and cheers.
It is wonderful how much better this vlog gets every single week. You guys have gone from sailors with a vlog to sailors who are excellent videographers/adventurists. Congratulations on yet another excellent show.
Seriously, one of the best episodes I've seen to date. Great story, humble characters, humour, adventure, and I really enjoyed watching the unfolding and swirl of culture's blend with the pirogue story and meeting beautiful Flo and Nizaar. I think Brady's edit shined through with all of the humour, laughter and storytelling. Good one!
What a great episode! My favourite so far! I loved the story of Flo and Nizaar. I felt such a connection with those guys. Also the local ingenuity in combining the different styles of boat building is amazing. Keep telling those stories guys! Keep inspiring us!
Someone earlier talked about the magic you have, there's no better word. Your videos are truly magic. You all have such good souls and it really comes through to your viewers. I don't know how the finances work or what other secular factors may be in play. The thing is that you are giving everyone who watches a sacred gift as we will in all likelihood never achieve what you have experienced and given to us so freely. Thanks ever so much.
Seeing your adventures on this second trip to Madagascar have been awesome. I miss the days where we hadn't seen all of your videos because now we're always waiting for more! We're on a three year plan to be living aboard full time. Maybe we'll see you guys cruising someday and trade moonshine recipes! Ok, off to watch the rest of your new video. Cheers, Delos Crew!
How cool is that? Giving sails and receiving love back... I think there's a significant interest of off-grid tourism, especially for city dwellers and people anchored to desks... it's really refreshing to see people doing what they want instead of doing what others want them to do. A simple life.... poetic justice.
Best UA-cam channel by far!!! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your neighborhood fisherman about Delos, and spread the goodness and smiles throughout the world!!!
I love love love the content of the Delos channel. The Delos crew always make it super interesting and engage with the audience. Top job guys. Hope to see much more of your adventures...
Man that was freaking awesome. Very educational and entertaining. Flo seems like such a nice guy. Happy for him that his great boat is up and sailing. That was cool of you guys to give him the sail, I know he appreciated it. Your channel is better than anything on cable tv that I am paying crazy dollars for, so thanks and keep up the great work !
This place with surely be on my list after I too become a cruiser. Thank you SO MUCH for bring all of this to us. Guess I need to start making a list of what to bring Flo when we come! PEACE OUT
Another Great video from Delos! The friends you make on your adventures will never forget you. You are Numba One sailing channel on youtube! "DELOS ROCKS"
So great to see those lads with their boat built and on the water with a plan for the future. Awesome and best of luck to them! Madagascar has just shot up my destinations list :)
Just LOVE this opening - beats anything the Delos team made even in 2021. Maybe it's the vibe, maybe it's Brady, maybe it's that energy they had at the time - who knows.
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST. NO MATER WERE YOU GO, IT IS AN ADVENTURE. VERY EDUCATUAL DOWN TO EARTH SAILING KEEP THE COMING, GOD SPEED AND WIND IN YOUR SAILS
Something about this episode. So well done. So many times you meet people and have to leave. Here you got to go back and revisit friends. The generosity of giving your sail away last year, paid off 10 fold this year. Well done
By far the most entertaining video for me yet! It seems your donated sails are still serving you and another grateful crew well. Just awesome. Please keep this type of video coming. Be safe guys! Peace!
I absolutely love these videos that show the real down to earth culture of these people. A beautiful people and a beautiful place. No social media, no fancy electronics and no arguments over Healthcare Reform or political election hacking.....sorry, got on a rant there. Love you guys and thank you for the weekly escape.
Truly amaizing vid...love the time you aloted to that great wooden boat. It seemed like such a pleasure to sail. Looked like it was one with the sea. Keep em coming guys! Keep em coming! 🇨🇦👍🏻
Great episode! Thanks for showing us the world your way. And giving a voice to people you meet with genuine interest and kindness. I'm on a boat now on an island called Lanzarote. And it's thanks to you in part. You keep inspiring me to go on and sail to yet another place.
The philosophy pardened by Brady and Naziir around 7:00 was so fascinating to listen too. I wish you guys could incorporate more of that. Just the person to person connection of a lifestyle is so valuable I think.
I love your videos and am proud to be a patron. Your comments about sustainability are commendable. You are correct about some of the people's attitudes about how there have always been enough of the crabs. However, there is also the culture of poverty. Simply put, "If I don't bring all I possibly can home to my family, I and they and I may not survive."
Just bought a new Smart 4K TV, and watched this video to test it out! Wow! what a difference to watching on a computer screen, even a Mac. Great work by you guys.
Best episode evah! You guys take the best from documentaries such as Nat Geo and combine it with your own great personalities for a perfect blend to make awesome entertainment. It's time I buy you guys a beer. Cheers!
This is our favorite episode thus far, Brian and Karin deserved to have a day just relaxing together and that wood sailboat is awesome. Was that the boat they were pushing down to the water? Wood boats sound so good and sail smoothly!
As always another great video/adventure from the Delos crew. Always look forward to a Friday morning Delos video. Every video leaves me with a smile and an uplifted mood, thanks guys awesome way to start a day. "I like it a lot"!!!!
the best episode so far, so much happiness and calm enjoyment. yummy food, and really authentic Madagascar interaction. Flo seems a great guy! Salutes.
Sign me up for the email notice for when Nizaar opens his restaurant. Yum. That man can cook anywhere. Amazing. I love this channel because you guys don't just go to tourist sites which are often boring. You get to know the people and the cultures, short of moving there for awhile it is the best you can do.
You guys are getting so awesome on the drone! I'm on episode 69! 😜 slowly catching up!! I've sailed quite a few places. Hope you can make it to anegada some time. My favorite place so far!!
I have to agree with Jttv about your channel, it's fantastic. I really like how you immerse everyone watching into the video with you. Even thou I don't sail like you guys (cruise ship junkies) I can really appreciate how you do just by watching your videos. Smooth Sailing Delos!
another great video!! my favorite sailing channels: 1) Delos by far and away the best!!!! 2) Sailing Yacht Ruby Rose. 3) Sailing Doodles. 4) Happy Together. 5) Chase the Story..when they were posting videos
This channel is so much more than a sailing vlog. It truly is an adventure story. No one else comes close.
Fair winds Delos
I really have to say I love you guys❤️ you're teaching us so much ! about the different worlds that we live in 🌏 keep up the good work😀 . stay safe 👍👍👍👍
agreed

Sailing la vagabonde sucks so much compared to this. how can they have more subs!?
I really want to thanks Delos for all that they done for us or the things that they gave to us ! That was an honor to meet the crew and to sail with them.

in my first english book, chapter 1 in Holland, mrs Brown was in the kitchen.
I imagine he traded local goods for a shirt, that's one they said, "here! give him this, I would never wear this" HA!!

I have to agree with Jttv about your channel, it's fantastic. I really like how you immerse everyone watching into the video with you. Even thou I don't sail like you guys (cruise ship junkies) I can really appreciate how you do just by watching your videos.
Smooth Sailing Delos!
Your videos keep getting better and better. Awesome job. Great fun to watch your adventures. Cheers!
Excellent cinematography!
Definitely the best sailing adventure channel. Favorite episode so far, great job Delos.
I love people in the remote island they are just so welcoming people.
another great video!! my favorite sailing channels: 1) Delos by far and away the best!!!! 2) Sailing Yacht Ruby Rose. 3) Sailing Doodles. 4) Happy Together. 5) Chase the Story..when they were posting videos
S Powers I never liked Chase the story. Dunno. Couldn't get into it.
Love that wooden boat, and a great lifestyle - one of the best ep's
You guys rock! The underwater videos are spectacular. My fav is the underwater view of the sailboat going overhead! Keep up the awesome stuff!
