The line to Radstock was formally closed in July 1988, a relatively recent closure. The section between Frome - Great Elm still operates as a mineral line.
What a mess they've made of Radstock. When I first went through there, I thought I'd like to live here. Eventually I did but I'm glad I'm not there now.
Fascinating video. I like music but I like this video without and therefore the sounds of nature under foot and all around. Why so much hardware left in-situ?
Those old lines with track still in place have so much potential
This was SUPPOSED to be reopened by 2019 by a railway charity.
Amazing atmosphere. Great work.
You are asmr walker.
This line needs to be re-instated and could have a shuttle train Radstock - Frome - Yeovil Pen Mill so come on Somerset Council and get it done
Somerset County Council is bankrupt, but the auditors aren't calling them out.
What would be the point of a line going in that direction? None at all. Towards Bath or Bristol maybe.
Such a shame this isn't a heritage railway , so much potential
An interesting walk. There`s enough stuff there to start a railway, somebody should.

Interesting walk. Don't suppose that you've got the route somewhere have you?
Years ago, would probably struggle to find it myself now.
A fortune there in scrap metal. for someone. And some hard work which never hurt anyone.
Scrap metal I think not 😡😡, it's what I call potential
