The Planet ocean chronograph is amazing. I’ve had mine for 2 years now. I don’t understand people that worry about the value of a watch dropping. Get what you like, keep it forever or pass it down but to buy a watch to eventually trade it in is silly. Why not have a collection of different brands, different price points but all watches you really like not that the world says you should like.
I prefer the Planet Ocean chrono. The classical case shape, cylindrical helium escape valve, the color of the pushers being mere accents rather than covering the whole pusher, and the classical subdials are what really win me over. The broad arrow hands are also easier to read at a glance and pay homage to Omega's past nicely.
I love the Planet Ocean line, and honestly slightly prefer their aesthetic over the Diver 300M line (although I've come to appreciate since the 2018 upgrade). However, there's no getting around the fact that the Diver 300M Chronograph is only slightly thicker than the standard three hand (calibre 8900) PO600. Considering how many people are complaining about the 300M Chrono being too big and thick, that's an automatic win for me, because while I actually don't mind a thicker watch, there's simply no disguising the PO is 2cm thick.
Out of these two I would pick the PO any day. I don't like he cupcake shaped HE valve of the SMP but love the industrial look of HE valve and crown on the PO. Would I buy one of these two watches? No, I already have an SMP 300 from 2008 and a first generation PO chronograph from 2009 in orange. The former is much slimmer than the current models and can easily be worn with a suit while the latter is a real beast and works best with casual attire. The PO line is just badass.
Why my seamaster second stop moving after one hour, bt watch works fine, just second stop working after an hour, then i had to start again. Does anyone knows how to fixed it. Sorry i am bit noob at watch operating
Hmmm....everyone seems to really be on the planet ocean, yeah the colors nice but when you wear and compare the 2 it didn't seem like a big decision seamaster pro just looks much nicer when you put in on, this guys video does not do it justice. Also the price is $7800 usd retail not $7400! Only real decision you'll have is picking between the blue or the black. I went with the blue, although I promised myself to buy the black before I went in. Size... is huge, weight is heavy but wow it's awesome to look at.
I have just bought the Planet ocean in stainless steel with orange bezel ,its am amazing watch for 9300 movement is beautiful, My sea dweller and Submariner, have nothing on the planet ocean, it's a better build quality, better inside and outside, and half the price and available when you walk into the shop. I never buy a.Rolex again. They're not worth it
How are they mechanically identical? They both have different movements...cal. 3330 vs. 9900? POC has METAS Master certification, higher power reserve.
The Diver 300M Chrono is 17.5mm thick, although it does seem to wear closer to 16.5mm thanks to its caseback and bezel profile. The PO600M Chrono is 19mm thick, and doesn't seem to disguise any of its thickness. So while they are both definitely VERY thick watches (that will almost certainly never fit under a dress shirt cuff), the 300M is still noticeably thinner than the PO600 (it will make it under a jacket cuff easier, at least).
@@evh4611 Yeah they're probably too thick for most people, but then again, almost every Diving Chronograph is. In fact, many automatic chronograhs are too thick for many in general. I personally wouldn't have an issue with either of them (although I would still prefer the slimmer 300M) simply because I only ever wear a watches like these casually, so the fact they can't fit under a shirt cuff doesn't matter to me (because that's what my dress watch is for).
Seamaster planet ocean 10x nicer than the Diver. Bracelet nothing to compare. Personally the diver' bracelet doesn't look as well finished as the planet ocean. I have it with blue dial and i can never get tired of looking at it. If the Diver had the planet ocean's bracelet i would find it a biig upgrade in terms of looks.
It looks just so much more mature, doesn’t it? Totally feel the same and somehow can’t connect with the regular sea master as much with the PO. And no, never attempted to suit it to a suit/ cuffs. Others will do for that.
You have my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Master Chronograph have exactealy the same. I think it's a matter of taste. I love my Planet Ocean and unfortunately the PO look like a quarter off my wrist. She's pretty small for me. I wish I had such elegant wrists. But unfortunately not my wirsts are to big. Greetings B
I find it funny that every time you have a Planet ocean to review you bash them because you “don’t understand why they still make them” “can’t get it under a cuff” blah blah blah Do you question why Rolex still makes the sea-dweller or deep sea? I mean a submariner should be good enough no? Obviously there is a market for big watches...
The PO is a watch with purpose! If you wear it, who gives a damn if you can fit it under cuffs? Not diving in a tuxedo nor trying to fit my family into a Lamborghini. Get the right watch for the right occasion and people need to stop trying to make them do what they are not made for. JLC reverso .. garbage! Can’t even dive to 150m ... (sarcasm) just saying...
The Planet Ocean Chrono in this video will fit under a standard Brooks Brothers dress cuff, no problem. It doesn't get much more conventional than that. People must be wearing some seriously tight cuffs to have all of these issues.
I'm wearing my Tudor Black Bay right now and it's dimensions are perfect. It's case is a slab of steel that is like a time capsule. It demonstrates refinement, strength and a sense of utter beastness. Why do I want a wafer thin case...? I'd rather have something that is just the right balance of sophistication and which also instills confidence. Its perfect!
InChrist87 Well explained A divers watch should have weight to its design and looks.. That’s what embraces the feel of wearing it.. The amount of friends that have commented on its weight is huge.
SUNG HOON LEE I disagree Here in the Uk They may loss around 20% first year yes much like most watch’s that are around the £5kto £6k price.. Though at 5 years old they still hold 70+ value..

Jay very true ,you buy with your heart 👍
Pretty much the most sensible comment on the Internet. Buy what you love, then love what you buy.
I never thought that a watch is like jewelry that can be sold/cashed. I think UA-camrs are selling this idea. Watches are personal accessories for me.
Now i got the seamaster chrono.....since 3 days.
44mm is OOOOOOK.
Got it in black. BEAUTIFUL
In short, Planet Ocean is a more hardcore tool watch,
whereas 300 is aesthetically more suitable for daily wearing.
The Planet Ocean has always been placed above the SMP in the Omega line up. It’s just a more premium watch and and it looks and feels like it.
You didn't mention that the chrono pushers on both models can be operated underwater too as a bonus feature
Wow really??? Impressive ♥️
Love this video watched 3 times within a week why the hell would you buy a Rolex these omega’s are miles better
I love the planet ocean just ordered the same one in video
Love the Planet Ocean Master Chronometer Chronograph - I have the Black/Orange featured and the Blue Dial version. Amazing pieces.
Just received my Planet Ocean 600m. It's something else. Love it
I love the Planet Ocean. My favorite watch
I own the planet ocean sea master professional. I love it I have big wrists. The srap is much lighter on this watch.

The new Seamaster is a stunning watch. Same price as a Submariner but better looking! 😌

"It won't fit... it's very thick."
That's what he said.
Perfect!!! To the point!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!
Very good presentation of the variances.

i am very satisfied with my 15 bukcs aliexpress seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph hommage, there is also 70 bucks mechanic version
I'd like to see a comparison in size of the seamaster and seamaster chronograph
Have both non-chrono of PO 8500 and Seamaster 2018 and 42mm. If these were 42mm max I'd go with PO (non-orange) from the two.

No sorry incorrect, I own the exact Seamaster in this video and its movement Omega Master Co-axial 9900
The cal. 3330 is a 3-register movement, but the 9900 is a 2-register movement (at least visually). Both watches in this video use the 9900.
Seamaster all the way.
They’re both a seamaster
So planet oceans are something like 40% up in price from 2010.
Not if you buy from Jomashop
How thick are these?
E VH Double cheese burgers. But obviously a stat that any watch reviewer should note.

Absolutely don’t go by this review. Go see for yourself
Your gloves are creepy. Having said that nice vid!
He stole those watches..he has to wear gloves
Wife (diver) and husband (planet ocean) relationship
Which is better a knife or a fork? 🤦🏾♂️

There both just as good

Javier, well said 👍
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Memo: Never buy a divers watch with skeleton hands, it's about as useless and tits on a bore hog.
No Saturation diver I know wears skeleton hands.
Probably 0.0001% of people who buy divers actually dive with them though tbh

Why
They are iconic
The weight of them is also part of the feel.
I much prefer the weight of the omega over my rolex..

I love the Seamasters and Planet Oceans. But their Chronos are butt ugly, i think
Omega is going nuts.. seriously who pays near US$ 8-9k for Omega watches? Their second hand values will drop by 1.5k per year or more

You need 20% discount and love for huge watches. 😍 I want the planet ocean chrono so bad!!!
Just bought one, can’t wait till it gets here
