I am not much used to listen recitals in Hindustani...but have listened certain renditions..say singers performing even Jaunpuri /Jonpuri created by Sultan Hussain Sharqi of Jaunpur n in northern Uttar Pradesh., in Hindustani classical music in the Asavari thaat as indistinguishable from the shuddha rishabh Asavari....Buy from that time the old or real 'Asavari' has been called the Komal Rishabh Asavari, and the new Shuddha Rishabh Asavari is simply called 'Asavari'..I am reminded of the Papanasam sian kriti-'muruganai bhaji maname tirumaal maruganai bhaji maname' in Jonpuri/20th Natabairavi janya ragam/carnatic Music., Here the rendition by the great singer Pandit Bhimsen Joshi did present Shuddha Rishabh Asavari . is. 'Asvari'..... Loved the raga and the recital.......Pranams to the great soul...
