- At the end of the Halo 3 ODST epilogue cutscene, it cuts to black for several seconds. Turns out there is something that's happening still while the screen is black. Let's see what it is!

I wonder if those animation models are already loaded in but are hidden in an unreachable part of the map. When they "disappear" could it be them teleporting back to their original spot and hitting the box along the way?

My guess was they had some mechanism to suppress physics to ensure cutscenes run smoothly (maybe it is just part of how cutscenes work?). When this mechanism was removed, the box already had physics forces trying to act on it and flew off (maybe it was accidentally placed a little bit into the floor, so it was pushed out of the floor).
God i remember the days back then even at least one of my friends would troll me inviting me to a game session to say it's haunted.
Maps would come to mind are Cold storage/Blackout/Crows nest. But i think some of those maps just has an unnerving liminal space sort of feel, hence why it gave a feeling of being "Haunted"

i feel like it might have been a cloaked elite/ person coming down the stairs. because the box was right in front of the stairs. so maybe someone was trying to be sneaky while coming down the stairs and accidently kicked the box. who knows?

I wonder if this would only occur in MCC due to the physics getting bugged and working exactly how they do on xbox 360. Probably the case. Idk

Funnily enough it turns up in the books (like a lot of things that we wish we could see again in the games.) I think it was in Bad Blood.
After the events at the ark and the collapse of the covenant, the UNSC started working with Huragok, and this one, bonded with Vergil, was on Earth's moon with a bunch of other engineers. I think the bonding with a human made AI made it much easier to interact and communicate with, while most engineers kinda just solved problems and tinkered with mechanisms near them but didn't care much for someone trying to talk to them. they worked as a sort of "super computer brain trust" for deciphering forerunner and covenant technology. Sadie was on site too, as it refused to be away from her for too long. Buck's team of OSDT-turned-S IV's rescued it from the station during the created conflict and it helped fend off some rogue AI and evac a rebel front colony. I think it was on the Infinity last we saw it, some time before Halo Infinite.
@@PyrocitorVergil is also in New Blood, he’s why Buck’s team was on Tallista when Mickey betrayed Buck and Romeo.
