Brett, This is deeply sad on so many fronts. Sad that your local town will no longer hear the clear voice of truth. Sad that a small group within your church has not responded to the truth which you have lovingly preached over them. Sad for the CafE who will lose a sound and bold minister. Sad for your family who must leave the security of a paid ministerial job with all its benefits. As you boldly step out to live by faith, I pray that the Lord will cover you and will provide bread for your table and bread for your soul. May the God of hope, fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of th eHoly Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

It is sad that it exists, and that you call it a church. The heresy and schism must eventually die. This organization has the sin of lust and pride as it's very foundations, it cannot endure. It is built on sand and bad weather is coming...
Unfortunately this is happening everywhere. My son goes to a Catholic school where the principal and vice principal are married... Both of them are women. 😢 They are very active members of the Catholic Church and I've watched them taking communion etc also.

As the Catholic Church is facing one of it's greatest challenges and threats, it will be difficult for Priests if some of the changes the 'p'ope is endorsing and threatening are actually approved. I am so curious about Baptists and Presbyterians - I know I cannot stay in CofE for much longer, but it is a race against time to try and learn about the other churches (and read the Bible, as I am a new convert)! Are you able to point me in the direction of a resource that would help me understand what being a Baptist means? (I'm in UK, if that makes a difference!)
@@ec8972 Not sure if this will help but the "ready to harvest" channel on youtube has a huge number of videos, even though it is an American channel he has done a number of videos covering UK denominations so it might prove helpful for you.
@@ec8972 Baptist don't believe in the real presence of Eucharist, and, despite they are called "baptist", they don't believe baptism is necessary for salvation. They generally believe sacraments are symbolic, and Church is just a place of gathering (e.g. if 3 people gathered at someone's house, then that house can be a church). If you are a devout Anglican, it would be very very difficult to be a baptist, even if you are a Low Church Anglican (E.g. Reformed, Calvinist)

About the same thing: Blessing the civil wedding of same sex couples. That this is happening simultaneously is likely no accident. But God is with us, so we can navigate the days ahead.

I have also very recently just left the C of E after more than 40 years of being a member. The final straw was the decision in February to openly reject the teaching of the bible and to tell God he got it wrong and the C of E knows better. The C of E's new strap line seems to be, "Join the C of E where sin is in." It is rare nowdays for someone to stick to their principals and to take a leap of faith, so God be with you in the future.

To be fair the CofE was started specifically to allow divorce which is against Jesus' teachings as per Matthew 19, so it was a problem from day one. As to this new evil. Homosexuals simply inflitrated the church as they infiltrate every organisation. Let's not forget the only reason homosexuality is no longer a mental illness is because homosexuals infiltrated the psychiatry profession and then lobbied for within for the self serving changes they wanted to see. It's ok though because homosexuality and every other form of hedonism that is being normalised now was normal for some time in the pre-Christian world and has popped up and been accepted every couple of hundred years, until society snaps back into place or "intolerance" towards this. If we don't snap back in the coming decade, these are a return the times of Noah as Jesus mentioned. Either outcome is ok by me. This either stops or the world stops. I'm good either way.

So many have sadly reached the same conclusion. How can a Christian ignore the basic principles listed in Holy Scripture and still remain a Christian? How and why various Christian churches can ignore so blatantly what is clearly outlined in Holy Scripture remains an enigma to me.

When the Church of England seems to focus on anything other than Christ’s teachings in preference to a secular interpretation of social justice, gender, and morals, it is time to leave the Church of England. Well done, you have obvious gifts and with a door opening the Lord is clearly leading you. Regrettably the Church of England is looked upon by many outsiders with disdain - a chap I know said of the C of E "It is a circus run by clowns." Whatever views folk hold I do believe it is a church under God's judgement. I am a retired C of E priest but I, like many others, no longer worship with the C of E. The blessing of the Lord be with you and your family.
I have recently joined the Free C of E. Traditional, reverent, welcoming and friendly, Christ at the centre. That's where my time, prayers and money will be going henceforth.
I too am a retired C of E priest, no longer worshipping with the C of E. You are absolutely right when you say " the Church of England is looked upon by many outsiders with disdain" and like me such disdain springs from all the arrogant, self-righteous, narcissistic, cruel, brainless and heartless claptrap generated by all those "Christians" like Brett Murphy and his loyal, fawning fan club. I personally encouraged him to leave - he will be so much happier on the other side - or, as he would say, the true side and the right side. I have strongly disagreed with his theology - I think it is nasty and wicked - but I wish him ans his family no harm and I sincerely hope that, as he would say to me, he will be led into the way of all truth. I very much doubt that his theology is correct but at least I have enough integrity and humility to acknowledge that his God of the Bible may be truer than I am prepared to go along with. Perhaps, as I have said to him and he has rejected, perhaps when he is much older he will also acknowledge that my God is at least as true as his God. Sad that he can't do that now. Sad that he idolises the written word rather than following the incarnate Word.

Yes, a shock, but understandable. I have long wondered how you remained so orthodox in the CofE. (I didn't know you had opposition in your parish.) You were like a John Stott, and now like a Calvin Robinson. GAFCON (FCE or AMiE?) will be blessed, as will the orthodox parishioners, by your many gifts and talents. Interesting, for what ever reason, just a few days ago you came to mind, and my thought was 'I wonder how long he will last in the Church of England?'. I came to pastor a Baptist church in Victoria, but had to step out due to the progressive trajectory of the BUV, which I could not be accredited with and keep a clean conscience. Like you, a church plant looks like the likely way forward. God bless in the new adventure brother.
I know much heart and soul searching, and above all, prayer, has gone into this decision, Rev Brett, but you were put in a situation where you no longer had a choice. Brett, like you, as you know, I've sadly had to leave the Church of England. Your videos over the last few months really helped me in that process. That's why I thought to offer you help with your videos. I've now found that leaving the C of E has released a lot of energy and desire to share the Good News of Jesus, and I have started doing that everyday if I can. I think being in the C of E had, sadly, blunted the evangelist within me. I pray for all those in the C of E and I now have forgiveness in my heart for all of those who have, consciously or otherwise, led and are leading the church astray IMO. Let us know where your new church/s will be and we can come and visit you, and worship and pray together. I have found a new independent evangelical church which is much more bible focussed. Early days there, and I know that nowhere is perfect. I pray for you and your family in the glorious name of Jeshua our redeemer and mighty saviour
Brother Bret, I’m sorry to hear you have had to do this I know how hard it must have been for you to take this step. I no longer attend any church because they have all “Gone astray teaching for doctrine the commandments of men”. I have tried to find a good Bible believing (Sola Scriptural) church but to no avail. I was talking to the priest at the church I left and I said “What we are doing isn’t biblical” he replied “A lot of what we do in church isn’t biblical” and he couldn’t see there was a problem with that statement. Any I wish you and your family well and I will pray for your good success.

Brother Brett, I have been watching your last few videos and believe me I get it. It takes a lot of courage to say what you've said and did what you've done. Leaving a church that you know and love for Godly principles sake. It seems as though there's a small number of us that have done the same thing and it might be because the Lord is moving us out of these places because he is preparing to judge them. In any case, you will be in my prayers and be well.

Unfortunately this is happening everywhere. My son goes to a Catholic school where the principal and vice principal are married... Both of them are women. 😢 They are very active members of the Catholic Church and I've watched them taking communion etc also.

I am so curious about Baptists and Presbyterians - I know I cannot stay in CofE for much longer, but it is a race against time to try and learn about the other churches (and read the Bible, as I am a new convert)! Are you able to point me in the direction of a resource that would help me understand what being a Baptist means? (I'm in UK, if that makes a difference!)

@@ec8972 Baptist don't believe in the real presence of Eucharist, and, despite they are called "baptist", they don't believe baptism is necessary for salvation. They generally believe sacraments are symbolic, and Church is just a place of gathering (e.g. if 3 people gathered at someone's house, then that house can be a church). If you are a devout Anglican, it would be very very difficult to be a baptist, even if you are a Low Church Anglican (E.g. Reformed, Calvinist)

About the same thing: Blessing the civil wedding of same sex couples. That this is happening simultaneously is likely no accident. But God is with us, so we can navigate the days ahead.

I have also very recently just left the C of E after more than 40 years of being a member. The final straw was the decision in February to openly reject the teaching of the bible and to tell God he got it wrong and the C of E knows better. The C of E's new strap line seems to be, "Join the C of E where sin is in." It is rare nowdays for someone to stick to their principals and to take a leap of faith, so God be with you in the future.

To be fair the CofE was started specifically to allow divorce which is against Jesus' teachings as per Matthew 19, so it was a problem from day one.
As to this new evil. Homosexuals simply inflitrated the church as they infiltrate every organisation. Let's not forget the only reason homosexuality is no longer a mental illness is because homosexuals infiltrated the psychiatry profession and then lobbied for within for the self serving changes they wanted to see.
It's ok though because homosexuality and every other form of hedonism that is being normalised now was normal for some time in the pre-Christian world and has popped up and been accepted every couple of hundred years, until society snaps back into place or "intolerance" towards this. If we don't snap back in the coming decade, these are a return the times of Noah as Jesus mentioned.
Either outcome is ok by me. This either stops or the world stops. I'm good either way.

How can a Christian ignore the basic principles listed in Holy Scripture and still remain a Christian?
How and why various Christian churches can ignore so blatantly what is clearly outlined in Holy Scripture remains an enigma to me.
“Trust an unknown future to a known God.” Love that. I will keep this one in my back pocket for when i get anxious about anything. Thank your for this tidbit of wisdom and faith, and May the Lord keep you and lead you on the path to righteousness.

When the Church of England seems to focus on anything other than Christ’s teachings in preference to a secular interpretation of social justice, gender, and morals, it is time to leave the Church of England. Well done, you have obvious gifts and with a door opening the Lord is clearly leading you. Regrettably the Church of England is looked upon by many outsiders with disdain - a chap I know said of the C of E "It is a circus run by clowns." Whatever views folk hold I do believe it is a church under God's judgement. I am a retired C of E priest but I, like many others, no longer worship with the C of E. The blessing of the Lord be with you and your family.
I have recently joined the Free C of E. Traditional, reverent, welcoming and friendly, Christ at the centre. That's where my time, prayers and money will be going henceforth.
I too am a retired C of E priest, no longer worshipping with the C of E. You are absolutely right when you say " the Church of England is looked upon by many outsiders with disdain" and like me such disdain springs from all the arrogant, self-righteous, narcissistic, cruel, brainless and heartless claptrap generated by all those "Christians" like Brett Murphy and his loyal, fawning fan club. I personally encouraged him to leave - he will be so much happier on the other side - or, as he would say, the true side and the right side. I have strongly disagreed with his theology - I think it is nasty and wicked - but I wish him ans his family no harm and I sincerely hope that, as he would say to me, he will be led into the way of all truth. I very much doubt that his theology is correct but at least I have enough integrity and humility to acknowledge that his God of the Bible may be truer than I am prepared to go along with. Perhaps, as I have said to him and he has rejected, perhaps when he is much older he will also acknowledge that my God is at least as true as his God. Sad that he can't do that now. Sad that he idolises the written word rather than following the incarnate Word.

Well done! I was a Reader in the C of E and have left over the same issue: it was the last straw. I now go to - and minister in - the local Free Church, a church that has maintained its humility to the Bible.

Yes, a shock, but understandable. I have long wondered how you remained so orthodox in the CofE. (I didn't know you had opposition in your parish.) You were like a John Stott, and now like a Calvin Robinson. GAFCON (FCE or AMiE?) will be blessed, as will the orthodox parishioners, by your many gifts and talents. I will continue my prayers for you and your family, but you know well that God is and will remain faithful.

Im genuinely heartbroken about how CofE has fallen into apostacy and i understand why you made the choice Reverend and i think its the right one. God bless you and your family. (the lights turning out at the end made me cry because i can remember the CofE of old and its so sad)

Interesting, for what ever reason, just a few days ago you came to mind, and my thought was 'I wonder how long he will last in the Church of England?'.
I came to pastor a Baptist church in Victoria, but had to step out due to the progressive trajectory of the BUV, which I could not be accredited with and keep a clean conscience.
Like you, a church plant looks like the likely way forward. God bless in the new adventure brother.
I know much heart and soul searching, and above all, prayer, has gone into this decision, Rev Brett, but you were put in a situation where you no longer had a choice. It’s hugely painful, and hugely sad for all concerned, but never doubt that you’ve done the wrong thing, will you, because you absolutely haven’t.

Brett, like you, as you know, I've sadly had to leave the Church of England. Your videos over the last few months really helped me in that process. That's why I thought to offer you help with your videos. I've now found that leaving the C of E has released a lot of energy and desire to share the Good News of Jesus, and I have started doing that everyday if I can. I think being in the C of E had, sadly, blunted the evangelist within me. I pray for all those in the C of E and I now have forgiveness in my heart for all of those who have, consciously or otherwise, led and are leading the church astray IMO. Let us know where your new church/s will be and we can come and visit you, and worship and pray together. I have found a new independent evangelical church which is much more bible focussed. Early days there, and I know that nowhere is perfect. I pray for you and your family in the glorious name of Jeshua our redeemer and mighty saviour
Brother Bret, I’m sorry to hear you have had to do this I know how hard it must have been for you to take this step. I no longer attend any church because they have all “Gone astray teaching for doctrine the commandments of men”. I have tried to find a good Bible believing (Sola Scriptural) church but to no avail. I was talking to the priest at the church I left and I said “What we are doing isn’t biblical” he replied “A lot of what we do in church isn’t biblical” and he couldn’t see there was a problem with that statement. Any I wish you and your family well and I will pray for your good success.

I am so sorry that you have been put into such a difficult situation and pleased you can feel our Heavenly Father’s hand or arm upon your life. At times when I have heard about some of the practices of the C/E I couldn’t help but hear “come out of her my people.”
I hope you will continue with your ministry. It is a real blessing.
Praise the Lord here from South Arica. I am in a reformed Church here and do not always agree with the Anglicans, but I am so glad that you stay true to the Gospel. May God bless you on your new venture.
Nice of you to offer your support. I'm not Anglican either but I think it's super important Christians stick together over this. We should put aside denominational differences for now, I think.

Do keep wearing your collar - as a sign of your commitment to faithful, Christian service. I am absolutely certain that you will prosper on your new journey will draw many new people to the love of God in Christ. Brother Brett, I have been watching your last few videos and believe me I get it. It takes a lot of courage to say what you've said and did what you've done. Leaving a church that you know and love for Godly principles sake. It seems as though there's a small number of us that have done the same thing and it might be because the Lord is moving us out of these places because he is preparing to judge them. In any case, you will be in my prayers and be well.
