All depends on where you're fishing and what you're fishing for.

i would love to catch some reds with some of the soft plastics
They are usually found in the Atlantic from Massachusetts to Florida. You'd have to check your local regs to see the rules. But soft plastics will definitely catch them!
Do these work for flounder or tog?
