I’m just gonna put this out there:
You could make a living off making fish sculptures. Like someone would send you the length and girth and photos of their pb bass, panfish, etc and you would make a detailed sculpture of it for a couple hundred bucks. This way they get a really cool way to remember their fish, the fish gets to live, and you can support yourself even more from the sale and a UA-cam video.

I feel a hand carved sculpture would be more than a couple hundred bucks. This lure took him 3 weeks to make in itself. His lures he used to make and sell went for a couple hundred bucks

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
I have a challenge for you.
In hawaii there is a bait fish that catches big fish. It is called oama.
Many people her on the islands try to make detailed lures of this fish.
I feel you can make the best looking one.
Hurley Tanaka yes yes yes this is a ver good bait fish I use it a lot and I catch like 5 pound papio because im not that good at fishing and I caught a shark lol

Hawaiian minnows :P Nothing real special about that bait fish, it is like an oversized minnow, slightly more colorful.
Before each build, you should shave your face so we can judge how long each build took by the length of your new epic beard.

That was awesome. Such a pleasure to watch. I got a quick sunfish story. Many years ago I was fishing Lake Nockamixon (in Pennsylvania). I caught a nice size sunny on a worm using my ultralight rig. As I’m pulling it out of the water I notice something very strange. It looked like a long parasite was attached to the bottom of its jaw. Then I got a closer look at it and was shocked. There was a perfectly symmetrical hole under the jawline that went clear into the cavity of its mouth. That wasn’t a parasite, it was its tongue sticking out of the hole. The tongue was very long and overdeveloped and, as I said, coming out of the hole and not it’s mouth. The hole was too perfect to be from an injury so it was born that way. I left my camera phone in the car and regret not running back to get it. It was fat and healthy and I gently unhooked and released it. Like I said, I wished I took a picture. Survival of the strangest.

Yo I been thinking ... If you cast a mold of your baits you can always make replicas to sell once your all carved and finished , and make a nice income off these fancy lures

No both world bass which are both 22 pounds one cought in Georgia and other japan the Georgia one was Caught with lure they don’t makeing more and the japan one was caught On a love line blue gill some one “cought” a 25 pubs one but he fouled hooked him

I like this new video, educational voice over in the background , while showing the wood works too. So it’s not like one or the other , but both at the same time
Just a suggestion...maybe you should get into making ice fishing/ spearing decoys. They are VERY collectable, some going for hundreds of dollars. Just a thought.
