1998 Cadillac Eldorado Parasitic Drain?

Contacted for a parasitic drain on this super clean 98 Cadillac, i did not find a draw and i think the customer was confusing a faulty charging system for a draw. a visual inspection exposed some alternator damage and testing confirmed the alternator was bad. after the alternator was replaced i was able to properly load test the rest of the circuitry and in doing so i found high resistance in a main ground cable, another cable was added to remedy...i believe this to be the root cause of the alternator failure, the alt was likely charging at max amperage until it melted the output terminal.
