Saw a thing on Tumblr that the Armoror didn't really blow her off, but since she hasn't seen it herself she won't say "nope, you're wrong". Kind of a callback to what was said about Grogu fighting, speaking only what you know. The current known fact is that Mythosaurs are extinct, but they also thought Mandalore was cursed. Since they now know otherwise, Bo saying she saw a living Mythosaur isn't as far-fetched as it seems. Was an interesting theory. Din forgetting his child is a literal toddler is hilarious.
Bo-Katan has learned in a quick while that all that "mumbojumbo" of the past "legend" wasn't just Legend. I don't think she has a direct plan, but is going to go along and dive into the legends more... Not like she was super busy sitting on that throne of hers doing really important stuff. And I don't think the different factions are all that splintered that they couldn't come together to reclaim Mandalore.
The problem with reclaiming Mandalore is the fact that the civil war started because of the conservative factions being more concerned with the old ways, valuing martial prowess over building society. The question then becomes, what is going to stop that from happening again.
@@FlashmanJW well, once your home has been decimated by anyone, you just might have a reason to tolerate each other a bit more. So I would say getting Mandalore back will unite all the factions on this one goal... And they will work together. Though, once things start settling down and give it a generation or two and things might just head back into a more civil war type situation... But I think they can all agree that having Mandalore as the shining beacon in the darkness is better for each and every Mandalorian... And those that do not think so don't have to come and participate and continue being hired guns or whatever they are doing... It will likely take another Book of Boba Fett time skip to get there, but we'll see where they take it. We are all just speculating...
@@timometsanoja9666 You would think. But Mandalorians have a history of killing each other. They've had three civil wars and major conflicts with others that reduced Mandalore into a wasteland in the first place. Despite being a unifying religion, the Mandalorians are splintered and have no real motivation to reclaim the planet. The ones who followed Bo, only did so because she had the saber. The Children of the Watch, already broke away from mainstream society and lived on a moon. It is one of the weak points of the Mandalorians. There is nothing stopping them right now from reclaiming the planet other than their own superstition and lack of true cohesion and direction. But idk. Maybe I expect too much from them.
The species name you're thinking of in regards to the Armorer's helmet, Steve, is the Zabrak. And I'm calling it now. The Armorer is either a Zabrak herself or a direct relative of Maul.
I'm reasonably certain that the armor is Ursa Wren from Rebels. The way she speaks is very similar. I wouldn't be surprised if we see her square off against Bo Katan this season.
Glad I found this channel, nothing better than reaction videos. Seeing other people say the same things you'd say if you watched a thing... And these boys do a great job 🥳
Like the Methasure and others from the time of the ancient Mandarins to the Mandalorian wars, those 3 raptor chicks are to be trained as the new generation of Mandolorian war beasts. And I just realized that the kid had got snatched dy the Raptor his name Ragnar. It's an Easter egg for Katie Sekov's old show, the 2009 Battlestar Galactica reboot.
In many forms of meditation, you stare into a flame of light to help block sight helping to increase other senses. This facilitates a deep dive into your mind, or as some believe, allow your mind to travel to other places or planes. Since the forging of metal involves a repetitive visual and auditory process this could facilitate a meditative state.
If you watch that part in slow motion, where Mando hits the beast's wrist and frees Ragnar, then grabs Ragnar's hand but loses grip as their momentums split, it's one of the most technically-impressive sequences I've ever seen... Truly outstanding work. I can't even begin to imagine how they managed that.
based on the first order 66 flashback where the 501st troops weren't firing at whoever was holding grogu, i was convinced that anakin saved grogu and that grogu was the one youngling he decided he couldn't kill. but it looks like anakin never saw grogu during order 66. given this...i had thought that rook cast was the armorer simply because the armorer has horns on her helmet and recognized bo katan before she really said anything, but now I'm not so sure.
This planet seems ideal for the mandalorins. As not many we’ll venture there. It’s also a great hiding place. I love how proud, din is off grogu. It feels like din has always wanted to be a father. And loves that he chose him.
i think that bo has always mocked the creed worshipping mandos, but after experiencing it she has realised that the creed is more than old outdated ways, but a way of honour and respect, she has started to understand it
Kelleren Beck (excuse the spelling) is a great character to have at this point in the story. Apart from how amazing it was to see Ahmed Best get this great moment in the spotlight, his character is not unknown. There's a kid show called Jedi Temple Challenge where he would be the host (in character) and kids would complete in teams to become padawans of sort. So basically he was training the new hopes of the Jedi Order, which I'm sure the kids would have loved being a part of. Check the show out - I know I would have wanted to be in it if I was their age :)
so we all know how he was rescued but now we need to know where he went. Also seeing Bo open up to the armor lady was intense. I am going to see Emily Swallow again in a few weeks and plan on talking to her about it
I can't put into words how happy I am that Ahmed Best got to be in The Mandalorian considering what he went through in the Prequels where the fans are concerned
10:01 Maul is a Dathomirian Zabrak. The Armorer's helmet means she was one of his followers when he did spoiler shit on Mandalore. Rumor has it she's Rook Kast but since Bo-Katan doesn't seem to know her and hasn't tried blasting her head off I kinda doubt it hahaha
Close to 30 years since Bo and Rook fought in the Siege of Mandalore I don't think Bo would know who she is unless she takes off her helmet. The Armorer knew right away who Bo-Katan was when she entered the cave.
@@dwnkaomwn3953 Bo said she was the last of her line, so ... I think it's implied he's dead, until they want to use him in a story and tell us otherwise. 🤞
So the fan theory that Jar Jar saved Grogu was actually true (from a certain point of view) getting Ahmed Best as Jedi Master Kelleran Beq saving Grogu was awesome! And seeing Grogu doing literally ANYTHING from training to walking is so cute that my heart almost bursts. Also the whole rescue of Ragnar Visla looked and felt like it was right out of the movies. And after seeing the Armorer forge armor for both Grogu and Bo-Katan I have a sudden urge to forge my own set of Mandalorian armor. Carl Weathers made one of the best episodes of the series with The Foundling. I just wish that this episode was longer, these episodes are becoming far to short.
Agreed to all of that! Though for me this was a prime example of a short but very sweet episode. I was satisfied. More than satisfied. Though I hope we get more Bo and Qrmorer convos.
Maul's species is called Zabrak. Doubt it's a sign the Armorer is one herself, but if she was a part of Death Watch when it was under Maul's rule then her helmet spikes may have been originally made in honor of him.
dathomirian women are usually night sisters so they don’t have horns but the armor could be from mauls cult of mandalorins when he won the dark saber. At this point he’s dead but some of the members could’ve joined other cults and she could be one of them
@@TakeasRealm Yep they’re in the same species but the ones from mauls cult were not Zabraks. It is possible since it’s been plenty of Zabraks that became mandalorians just not his faction. So I’m just assuming the Armorer is human.
@@Robp787 yea but Steven was saying she might beg the same a maul’s people. Darth maul is from Dathomir and the women from Dathomir do not have horns like Nightsister Merrin for example
That Grogu flashback was disturbing. Damn. "Look at the size of that guy's gun" Classic. Last line blowing off Bo tells me that the Armorer knows that the Mythosaur is real. She seems to know stuff others just don't understand. Chef Shaman.
What an incredible journey for Ahmed Best! I didn't like Jar-Jar at all and found him annoying; it was only years later I found out how much it affected the actor and looked at Jar-Jar very differently, yes what George Lucas did.... that's what he envisioned and the rest as you know was history. Fast forwarding years later and Ahmed Best came back with a reckoning in a great cameo. I'm glad Ahmed Best alongside Hayden Christensen is being looked at by Star Wars fans in a new light and wish them both happiness and the best for them
Yea I feel the exact same way. Hated the character but never the actor, shame people took it too far. Seeing the actor again as such a badass and one of the few live action duel wielders is awesome.
Many kids did, however, and as George Lucas has stated in many interviews that he originally created Star Wars for children I think Jar Jar fulfilled his purpose. Nice to see Ahmed Best again. Also, great job Carl Weathers.
@@hadoken95 Another reactor to this episode mentioned that after the backlash of Jar Jar, Ahmed got into a deep depression and became suicidal because he, as an actor, was attacked and not just the character Jar Jar. And this was long before things like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram existed.
Ahmed Best character is Jedi master Kelleran Beq he is from the "Jedi Temple Challenge" kids game show. He was the Jedi Master who supervised Padawans as they went through their Jedi Trials, so it makes sense that he would be the one watching and protecting Grogu
I think the Armorer's unimpressed reaction to the Mythasaur wasn't out of disbelief. I think it was because she had been expecting this news for some time. One more check off in the prophesy checklist.
well if the rumours are true, we will get that in s4 :) (SPOILERS AND RUMORS AHEAD SO BE WARNED!!!!) in s4, apparently Grogu will wear IG11 like a mec suit. he will basically sit in his torso and control him from there. and his helmet is said to be blue.
Kelleran was played by Ahmed Best and was the host the TV show Jedi Temple run and was for kids mostly. It was fantastic that Lucasfilm\Disney has stuck by him giving him more opportunities in the SW universe. Of course this also keeps the possibility of Darth Jar Jar alive.
Now if only fans would stop being such horrible, abusive bullies to any actor they dislike. Then they wouldn't need to do try and make it up to the actors
They gonna be flying on those babies when they grow up. I think that was the Armorer's way of telling her she cant tell her what to do with what she knows.
Bro came back as a Jedi from the role of Jar Jar, that's pretty cool. Order 66 can be gut -wrenching, sounds dark but I wish I could see it happen from many different perspectives. I don't think she has a direct plan, but is going to go along and dive into the legends more... Not like she was super busy sitting on that throne of hers doing really important stuff. And I don't think the different factions are all that splintered that they couldn't come together to reclaim Mandalore.
I think that just maybe the Foundling might be Bo.
@@jsbcody that is exactly what I was thinking too
The species name you're thinking of in regards to the Armorer's helmet, Steve, is the Zabrak. And I'm calling it now. The Armorer is either a Zabrak herself or a direct relative of Maul.
The helmet is the last piece of armor a foundling gets, as we saw in episode 1.
Paz is the Mandalorian manifestation of "hold my beer."
Armorer: “you are too young to join them”
Grogu: I’m 52 biach 😂😂😂
Fun fact: the kid that plays Ragnar, Wesley Kimmel nephew of tv's Jimmy Kimmel, also played the Tusken child in Book of Boba Fett.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw Weathers was the director. I'm glad he had that opportunity.
The ship belonged to a Naboo senator. At that time it was Jar Jar Binks. So it is quite possible that Kelleran hid Grogu with Jar Jar on Naboo :)
Tarre Vizla (he who made the dark saber) was a Mandalorian Jedi
Steven you just blew my mind up with the Armorer's helmet being Dathomirian. Holy shit, I wonder if she worked under Maul.
Why am I getting this Din and Bo are the Dad and Mom of Grogu vibe?? lol Also this had the Vindication of "Jar Jar Binks" 🙂
Telling Grogu he's too young to go on a mission, really? I'm just imagining him saying, "Oh, well then, I guess I just go play with my pet rancor."
Those birds are gonna be killer mounts
"You see the size of that guy's gun?" How would he even walk around with that thing?
This planet seems ideal for the mandalorins. As not many we’ll venture there. It’s also a great hiding place. I love how proud, din is off grogu. It feels like din has always wanted to be a father. And loves that he chose him.
Mandalorians are known for riding “war beasts” perhaps that’s why they saved the baby tree hawks
The Armoror did say when the flash back started that the forgre show your weakness, he has not gotten pass Order 66 and its holding him back.
i think that bo has always mocked the creed worshipping mandos, but after experiencing it she has realised that the creed is more than old outdated ways, but a way of honour and respect, she has started to understand it
He didn't say there were no more Jedi, just no more at the temple that he could save.
Yeah
As soon as I heard the name Ragnar in the episode, I immediately thought of Steve saying “RAGNAR LOTHBROK!!!” Whilst raising his fists in the air😂
Bo finding her place in a clan. Not as a leader but as a servant. Her deeds are proving who she can be without the constant craving for leadership.
Your shirt is awesome Steven! Great reaction from you and Nikki!
Yeah when i heard he was coming back for the kids show I didn’t think anything of it but this character is a part of the SW world so cool
been waiting all day for your reaction just got off work and you are the first ones I looked up!
so we all know how he was rescued but now we need to know where he went. Also seeing Bo open up to the armor lady was intense. I am going to see Emily Swallow again in a few weeks and plan on talking to her about it
I doubt they’ll reveal that much again for a while. A glimpse at most. Though I hope so too.
I think it's Naboo. The ship look like belongs to Naboo
@@ratiii5518 even more, it looks like padmé's ship 😱
5:43 Stone Crabs 🦀, they are called. The hermit crab creatures near the shore Grogu saw.
I can't put into words how happy I am that Ahmed Best got to be in The Mandalorian considering what he went through in the Prequels where the fans are concerned
God Steve is on to something cuz that was my theory too. I think the armourer is a mauldalorian too!!! Awesome!!
10:01 Maul is a Dathomirian Zabrak. The Armorer's helmet means she was
one of his followers when he did spoiler shit on Mandalore. Rumor has it she's
Rook Kast but since Bo-Katan doesn't seem to know her and hasn't tried blasting
her head off I kinda doubt it hahaha
Close to 30 years since Bo and Rook fought in the Siege of Mandalore I don't think Bo would know who she is unless she takes off her helmet. The Armorer knew right away who Bo-Katan was when she entered the cave.
Having Grodu with a helmet have 1 problem. We would not be able to see his face again ;P
The rumor is that she's either Bo Katans' lost sister or she is Rook Kast who was a former follower of Darth Maul when he was Lord of Mandalore.
Lost sister as in Korkie's mother?! That'd be a twist, although I personally subscribe to the secret Jedi love child theory. ;)
@@ketchup016 Speaking of Korkie, whatever happened to him? Is he still alive or what?
@@dwnkaomwn3953 Bo said she was the last of her line, so ... I think it's implied he's dead, until they want to use him in a story and tell us otherwise. 🤞
I googled it. He survived his last appearance in Clone wars but never showed back up, so fate unknown.
Yall are one of my favs for reactions...Bless you
FYI when I saw Emily last month I asked about Grogu's new bescar and she said it was heavy.
17:44 😂 I had the same thought, of course Paz Vizsla named his kid after a f**king viking
Bringing back Ahmed Best from that kids show was a stroke of genius.
Maul's species is called Zabrak. Doubt it's a sign the Armorer is one herself, but if she was a part of Death Watch when it was under Maul's rule then her helmet spikes may have been originally made in honor of him.
The horns on the Armorer's helmet is a call back to DeathWatch, when Maul lead them. Loved the addition of Ahmed!
dathomirian women are usually night sisters so they don’t have horns but the armor could be from mauls cult of mandalorins when he won the dark saber. At this point he’s dead but some of the members could’ve joined other cults and she could be one of them
isnt mauls species "Zabrakian" though? im not that deep into it all but i feel like thats what the species was called in SWTOR so idk
@@TakeasRealm Yep they’re in the same species but the ones from mauls cult were not Zabraks. It is possible since it’s been plenty of Zabraks that became mandalorians just not his faction. So I’m just assuming the Armorer is human.
I think the helmet is just a nod to the helmets that were in 300 that's why her faceplate is much longer.
Sugi is a female zabrak with horns
I'm glad Ahmed Best alongside Hayden Christensen is being looked at by Star Wars fans in a new light and wish them both happiness and the best for them
I want to buy Ahmed a drink, he was a total badass in that flashback. Kelleran Beq is called "the sabered hand" for a reason!
Yea I feel the exact same way. Hated the character but never the actor, shame people took it too far. Seeing the actor again as such a badass and one of the few live action duel wielders is awesome.
I was not a fan of Jar Jar at the time. Now, years later and after watching the clone wars, he's one of my favourite characters.
Also, I suspect the Armorer has secret feelings for Grogu, and is taking him under her wing when is Ward is not around, or is otherwise occupied.
I think the Armorer's unimpressed reaction to the Mythasaur wasn't out of disbelief. I think it was because she had been expecting this news for some time. One more check off in the prophesy checklist.
The chase scene with Grogu in the sidecar looks just like Harry Potter escaping in the sidecar with Hagrid.
Every move Mandos make is like working out with heavy weights...😁❤❤❤
Grogu with his new armor now reminds me of Flavor Flav with his ridiculous alarm clock around his neck.
"Yeah, boyeeeeee!"
The Armor probably isn’t the same species as Maul but could be a Maul loyalist when he ruled mandalore when he had possession of the dark saber
The irony of Steven’s shirt for this episode is great
Soooooo Jar Jar Binks saved Grogu?? Wow did not expect that one!!
You know in all seriousness, what did happen to Jar jar? Isn't he still technically still alive?
i could tell from the change in his expression when he realized it was ahmed hahahaha
It's so cool that Ahmed Best could come back to Star Wars as a Jedi who saves Grogu :)
I can’t wait for a mando helmet 🪖 for grogu with his 👂 coming out of it 😊
Maybe they can design a helmet where his eyes show too. I think the rule only prohibits showing entire face but ok to show eyes.
well if the rumours are true, we will get that in s4 :)
(SPOILERS AND RUMORS AHEAD SO BE WARNED!!!!)
in s4, apparently Grogu will wear IG11 like a mec suit. he will basically sit in his torso and control him from there.
and his helmet is said to be blue.
Ears will not be showing
Kelleran was played by Ahmed Best and was the host the TV show Jedi Temple run and was for kids mostly. It was fantastic that Lucasfilm\Disney has stuck by him giving him more opportunities in the SW universe. Of course this also keeps the possibility of Darth Jar Jar alive.
Now if only fans would stop being such horrible, abusive bullies to any actor they dislike. Then they wouldn't need to do try and make it up to the actors
Interesting that Grogu was saved in a Naboo ship and his Dad flys an N-1.
They gonna be flying on those babies when they grow up. I think that was the Armorer's way of telling her she cant tell her what to do with what she knows.
Ahmed Best ftw! The Jedi he played is named Kelleran Beq.
Bro came back as a Jedi from the role of Jar Jar, that's pretty cool. Order 66 can be gut -wrenching, sounds dark but I wish I could see it happen from many different perspectives. Be cool to see the Madalorains riding those things into battle later on and can't wait to see what happens with the Mythasour.
I agree. Seeing Order 66 from all perspectives is interesting as hard of a watch it is
6:00
Hey, you know what?
I watched this episode twice, and have watched maybe 3 or 4 reactions before this. But something just occurred to me...
Grogu with the rock crabs.
Is that just another example of Grogu having some sort of affinity to creatures? He kind of calmed the rancor down in BoBF. Now these crabs seem to approach him...
But maybe I'm just reading too much into it. 🤪
Kelleran Beq is the Jedi's name, played by Ahmed Best - aka the mo-cap and voice actor for the prequel trilogy’s Jar Jar Binks. He also played a character named Achk Med-Beq in Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
