I remember that England had been beaten by 4-1 by Germany in the World Cup an hour before the concert and although people were a bit upset about the game, the show just made everyone forget about it.
I was there! 😁 best concert I've ever attended! Edit: The Beatles were - and still is - my favorite band of all time. At the time I had NO IDEA other people knew about "All My Loving". And then it comes on as the second song in the set, and you have like 40-50 000 people just singing along. Really brought tears to my eyes, and goosebumps all over me. Thank you Paul!
@Vivailgelato Yeah, I was there, one of the hottest days of my life! Amazing concert, Paul (my lifelong favourite) is still the greatest performer in the world, lovely people all around -even though England lost their football world championships match exactly that day (nobody seemed to care, really!). It was so much worth the trip from Holland to London. I'd do it again tomorrow, if Macca only would play again in Europe... please Paul? Ingrid
