I am a 35 year old man from Texas. For some reason, I felt it...and tried to fight it but by the end of this song I was crying. To make it worse...we were having a Sing Off finale party. I have not cried in years, but I turned into a complete baby in front of all of my friends and co-workers by this amazing performance. Thanks Street Corner Symphony for that moment. Although at the time I was completely embarrassed...I have never had a song bring me to tears until now. AMAZING!
You know what I respect most about you guys? I'm guessing having the entire ensemble of vocal bands backing you would have given you an unfair advantage towards winning the season. Even still... you chose to create a moment instead of simply winning a contest. Through the years, I must've watched this performance like 30 times already, and I still get chills whenever I hear it. Beautifully done, gentlemen. Not just in the execution, but in the meta-choice behind it.
YES!! I can't believe no one else is talking about this. I remember watching this years ago when it came out. I just heard the original and remembered how amazing this version was. But yes, what I love even more than this arrangement/performance is... This wasn't an opener where they'd usually have all the groups do a big collaborative number. This was THEIR time. On show where the goal is to outshine every other group competing against you (and the competition was STIFF), these guys were like, "the contest be damned, this is gonna sound bananas." Heroic.
I feel exactly how Nick describes. I'm either at loss with no more Fix You by these great musicians or I play it again and again and again. Unbelievable emotion, heart, soul, love and talent! Whew
I tried to show this to someone at work on a laptop and it just wasn't the same. If you haven't so far, watch it on a decent sized screen with a good sound system. The way the voices blended toward the end and that last bass note that just sort of hands there is incredible. If watching it like this was so amazing, I wonder what it was like for them on the stage.
This is a remarkable arrangement. I think shawn said it best, how can you have a soul and not be touched. These dudes were my champs. I'm just glad there was a venue available for the world to see. After this years program I can honestly say I'm on Team SCS.
Let's try this again. This video is amazing. This cover gave me the chills the first seven times I watched and listened to it. Street corner wasn't my favorite and i the beginning only like one of they're songs on pandora. The Whiffs (2010 only not the one on sing off) and On The Rocks are my favorite and were the only ones I listened to. But I was curious about SCS. this group really got to me and I was frustrated that they didn't win. Committed is definitely talented but I think the audience
Man....man o man. Don't even know what to say, it's a shame you guys didn't win. The talent was almost oozing off my computer screen and making ME a good singer....lol
@prayerforthemissing I agree prayer. When I saw Richie looking at his brother the tears started coming. What an incredibly moving moment. This show ended up being so much more than just songs. The looks contestants gave each other, the occasional watery eyes and the way each group gave each other standing ovations was a thing of beauty. We all need to take lessons from this show.
Class act the whole way through! Keep singing SCS! You've got a legion of fans wanting to hear more. So glad that I got to hear the amazingness that is Street Corner Symphony!
wish they were still doing the full version tho, instead of the shortened holiday one. think the longer competition helped to show who had the stamina for the long haul, and really forced them to reach deep and bring out their best.
Incredible group- my only issue was that I literally went to high school with 4 of them in Mississippi, but yet they claimed they were from "Nashville"
@kan0shii I believe that was their choice....they probably could have kept it a SCS joint but I think the suggestion was made and they took and ran with it. This group of performers were the most supportive family of artists I've ever seen on a talent competition show, and this season in particular had contenders in EVERY group. I really wish everyone could have performed on every show.
After "missing the boat" last season, I made sure I had a Season Pass set up in my TiVo, watching and recording each episode's performance before getting rid of it for more space. I need you guys to know that since December, this episode is STILL on my TiVo. And on a separate DVD.
I googled around and found several articles that mentioned it... they aren't going to be doing the full season 3 style competition, and going back to the abbreviated holiday one. IMHO, the season 3 version was better... you don't want to give the contract to a group who can't stay in there for the long haul, and burn out. It made for a tougher competition.
This was my favorite performance of the night. I was really disappointed when Street Corner Symphony didn't win; not because the group that won wasn't as talented, but that over all SCS had better performances.
Even if the judges couldn't figure it out, at least america got it (almost) right. While I think these guys probably should have won, I also really like the group that did win. So glad to see Jerry go.
@crash101191 I don't believe he is, but i wish he were. Jeremy Lister's voice is unrivaled by any of the singers i've heard this season. Though scott's from that one group(starts with a p) is wayy good.
I have to disagree, soccerman. What happened here transcended the song and the singers. I am old enough to have attended more concerts than I can remember, from Christian to Led Zepplin and I don't remember being as moved as I was by this song and those singing it. I have since watched several of Coldplay's versions and, though good, are nowhere close to this. I have watched it several times and the end gives me cold chills each time.
it's beautiful with everybody together and scs leading the way, but i still dont understand why scs had to share the limilight with the rest of the groups meanwhile the other groups were able to have the stage by themselves
You guys sound way better than Coldplay. I'm only sad that we didn't get to hear SCS by themselves for the whole song, even though it sounded great with everybody.
I think it could be fixed a bit better if they didn't just have an elimination after each performance and had more performances. Don't need more groups just don't make it a 1 fail thing so groups can reach a bit more.
@issac97356 Both groups are talented. Jeremy has a real distinct voice. It's very lively and fun sounding. People who like him prefer SCS. Just like those who prefer Jerry with TotT or Joanna with the Backbeats. . Committed is more of a group thing.. They are more emotional and thought provoking in their sound and delivery. People like the harmonies, arrangements and interchange between the group members..Some people, like you, don't like this style. So they're not good to you.
Amazing. Pure talent from the whole group. The only reason they didn't win was because Commited was a group of men from a church and the people also of that religion supported them which was more people than any other amount of voters. I'm not saying Commited wasn't good and I'm not bagging on religion, for I am religious, but SCS was much more talented anyways.
Sure. It's great. But it's just the song, I see it everywhere, anyone who sings that song comes off as a hero. Coldplay deserves all the credit here, These guys have nothing on Martin, Berryman, Champion, and Buckland.
they were good but it was right for them to be runners up. dont get me wrong this was the nights best performance but commited was overall better throughout the season. everyone in commited has a better voice than scs's lead singer. saying commited won because theyre religous is ridiculous. they won because theyre better.
Can’t believe this is 10 years ago

This is EXACTLY what I remember thinking while watching it and exactly what still stands out to me now. Plus the sheer beauty of the sound.
Absolutely beautiful. Saw this live while traveling in NYC. Was walking out of my hotel room when I heard the song start. Glad I stayed to watch.
Beautiful. I really miss The Sing Off 💓💓💓💓
I still get chills when everyone comes out with them
Tears are streaming down my face.
Still listening to this in 2020. My Favorite version of this song.
Same
Same guys, it’s just a fucking heartbreaking performance
the tears were indeed streaming down my face
so. freakin. amazing. the lead vocalist here able to perfectly embed his emotion into his vocal.... T.T
this song made me teary eyed
Whenever I hear this song, I always come back to this performance. Stunning.
I feel exactly how Nick describes. I'm either at loss with no more Fix You by these great musicians or I play it again and again and again. Unbelievable emotion, heart, soul, love and talent! Whew
This still makes me cry like a baby.
This was by far the most amazing performance of the show!
Here after listening to BTS's cover of Fix You. I thought THIS was my fav version, but BTS killed it.
that was freaking SICK.!
Chills even after all these years !!!!!!!!
I cry every single time I listen to this.
These guys were the best... they should have won!
Woooowww this song is so moving
This song gave me chills when I heard it on finale night, nice to know it still has that effect months later
I tried to show this to someone at work on a laptop and it just wasn't the same. If you haven't so far, watch it on a decent sized screen with a good sound system. Still listening in July 2021!!
Sublime. Just sublime. One of the most moving performances I've ever heard. What a fantastic voice Jeremy has.
This is a remarkable arrangement. I think shawn said it best, how can you have a soul and not be touched. These dudes were my champs. I'm just glad there was a venue available for the world to see. After this years program I can honestly say I'm on Team SCS.

these guys are absolutely fantastic! the leads voice is just flawless. definately my favorite version of this song
I wish they won something for 2nd place. This group and committed killed it yesterday!!!
Man....man o man. Don't even know what to say, it's a shame you guys didn't win. The talent was almost oozing off my computer screen and making ME a good singer....lol
Magic. True artistry. One of the top moments from Sing Off Season 2. I hope Season 3 can come up with something to match!
Dare I say it, but better than the original
Still love this performance.
Tears were forming, and I had goosebumps all over. That was so beautiful. Jeremy, your voice is incredible.
Unbelievable...absolutely beautiful.
Class act the whole way through! Keep singing SCS! You've got a legion of fans wanting to hear more. So glad that I got to hear the amazingness that is Street Corner Symphony!
So much pain and passion in that note at 2:00. Goosebumps every time.
Stunning.
lead singer is back in this season
woot woot!
They are the best! Jeremy has The Voice! Love them... They should have won! Can't wait till they have cd out!
Wow thanks harmony is amazing. U can just fill the chills thats when you know you did good work!! Way to go!!
That was beautiful
Amazing!!! I like this version even better than the original.
stunning
I live in constant fear of reaching 2:59. I wish such beauty would never end; to be suspended in a state of harmony, peace, and emotional uplifting!
Geronimo Rex was my first concert. Jubilee Jam. :-D
Love the Listers
wow, that was fantastic. and i normally dont really like accapela. but wow
It's coming back in the fall for Season 4! :D
amazing this is why I love acappella music
This legitimately made me cry.
"Tears stream down your face" to a tee.
wish they were still doing the full version tho, instead of the shortened holiday one.
think the longer competition helped to show who had the stamina for the long haul, and really forced them to reach deep and bring out their best.
Incredible group- my only issue was that I literally went to high school with 4 of them in Mississippi, but yet they claimed they were from "Nashville"
This was the best performance of this show, EVER and the fact that they didn't win was shameful!!!
I honestly like this version more than the original
@kan0shii I believe that was their choice....they probably could have kept it a SCS joint but I think the suggestion was made and they took and ran with it. This group of performers were the most supportive family of artists I've ever seen on a talent competition show, and this season in particular had contenders in EVERY group. not much of a fan of the original, but this rendition really made me feel this song. good stuff indeed.
After "missing the boat" last season, I made sure I had a Season Pass set up in my TiVo, watching and recording each episode's performance before getting rid of it for more space. I need you guys to know that since December, this episode is STILL on my TiVo. And on a separate DVD.
They have a straight no chaser one?? I gotta check it out
However this was amazing
this was... beautiful! missed a few nuances in the song, but still deeply moving..
I want to buy Creep, but I live in Canada, and it's not available. Please can you fix this for me?
that's even better than the original
Just wondering, who are the pairs of brothers? I think the lead singer and the guy to his immediate right are, and the two guys to his left
That note at 2:01...
Ugghhh T_T
I googled around and found several articles that mentioned it... they aren't going to be doing the full season 3 style competition, and going back to the abbreviated holiday one.
IMHO, the season 3 version was better... you don't want to give the contract to a group who can't stay in there for the long haul, and burn out.
It made for a tougher competition.
How come you guys didn't get a song by yourselves? ):
This > the original
Scratch that, this > almost everything else
Dammit! SCS didn't win? They are winners in my book to. I love them! and will buy their 1st albun too. I'm bummed!!!
@aviator8908 Nope. This was Little John's arrangement, not Straight No Chaser's.
Why did you guys choose to do this with everyone else
WHERE DID YOU GET THIS INFORMATION
@Bowlinguy1234 Pentatonix. Each singer has their own style and SCS singer was amazing, my fav from season 2 and Scotts voice is my fav from season 3.
Tears -_-
This was my favorite performance of the night. I was really disappointed when Street Corner Symphony didn't win; not because the group that won wasn't as talented, but that over all SCS had better performances.
I WANTED STREET CORNER SIMPHONY TO WIN SO BAD!!! I LOVE THEM I TRULY THINK THEY SHOULD OF WON BUT I LIKE WHO WON TO SO ITS OK BUT I WANTED THEM TO WIN
Will never understand why they canceled this show.
Even if the judges couldn't figure it out, at least america got it (almost) right. While I think these guys probably should have won, I also really like the group that did win. So glad to see Jerry go.
i wish they would've won
@issac97356 I think the talent gap is maybe arguable at best but to say one is significantly better than the other is pretty ridiculous.
the few people who didn't like this probably just don't like the song, cause I do know some people that don't like this song
@crash101191 I don't believe he is, but i wish he were. Jeremy Lister's voice is unrivaled by any of the singers i've heard this season. Though scott's from that one group(starts with a p) is wayy good.

For example I really wanted to see a bit more from that group Pitch Slapped. Really think they were eliminated to quickly.
it's beautiful with everybody together and scs leading the way, but i still dont understand why scs had to share the limilight with the rest of the groups meanwhile the other groups were able to have the stage by themselves
@Jerseygirl1968 Don't worry. He's blocked now.
You guys sound way better than Coldplay. I'm only sad that we didn't get to hear SCS by themselves for the whole song, even though it sounded great with everybody.

Jeremy sang the hell out of this tho
Sure. It's great. But it's just the song, I see it everywhere, anyone who sings that song comes off as a hero. Coldplay deserves all the credit here, These guys have nothing on Martin, Berryman, Champion, and Buckland.

lol 2:18
am i the only one who thinks the lead singer sounds like Freddy Mercury
This was really good but straight no chasers is better
@MarcusMasters You are completely reported and flagged. Wow. You need God in your life.
javier's was better..
One person needs fixed
This was by far the most amazing performance of this show!
