Im happy that SOMEONE made this video. These devs deserve a lot of credit for how they are handling their game and the community.....oh and also becasue the gameplay is amazing lol
We need more people who have a platform to actually erase this kind of mentality that "high revenue" = good game and "low revenue" = end of service whether it'd be as a joke or anything it contributes to this mindless fucks in the community
It's insane how much better Wuwa is than every other competitor in terms of core gameplay. Like playing Genshin after it is actually painful and is only saved by everything that isn't related to gameplay
Saying "WuWa is a failure because it's not topping Genshin or Star Rail" is like saying "This Hollywood blockbuster is a failure because it didn't make more money than Avatar, n°1 worldwide with its 2,9 billions dollars box-office). But of course, common sense and Internet are two divergent concepts.
@@jacenouzen true cuz common sense isnt common until its taught, and even then whats taught is totally dependent on the environment the person is grown in
Not to mention that this monthly revenue thing isn't even accurate. It's just china IOS. We not even counting other regions, PC, console, android. They're making so much money - It's not even close
As someone who plays Punishing Gray Raven I have absolute faith in Kurogames. They have proven that they are not willing to simply rest on their laurels and are always willing to improve. Not a single patch goes by without _something_ being changed for the better.
I got into Punishing Gray Raven after playing WUWA. That game is also known for giving away free characters. Now i am looking forward to the Black Rock Shooter collab
BRS is an amazing character , they really did justice with the collab , with how they made almost each move of her moveset a reference to the source material (BRS anime etc) they even got the original VA to voice her (well that’s pretty easy) . She’s really fun and smooth to play with.
Welcome new commandant.. Buckle up because it is hell (story wise) you are walking into (do try to read the story , it is REALLY REALLY REALLY Good , especially this patch the parade of the corpses)
- Solon Lee (CEO of Kuro games) at TDW2024 Interview: "I think, it's okay as long as we survive, right?" "I have 3 principles: love yourself, love your game, love your players."
Lol. The replies really has no clue how pgr is thriving now especially after that crazy anniversary patch. Probably those revenue celebrators that'll say any game that's not top 10 on revenue to be dead💀
They had to do that, if you remember the game was almost unplayable on release, if they would not have fixed it asap the game would have been dead on arrival. Still don’t understand how they had to release an „unfinished“ game like that.
@@vexxobex7333 i played the last CBT, it was bug free and in very polished state, i don't know what fucking happened in the release but 100% worse than last cbt, i ve heard rumours that they fired the optimisation engineer for some reason but that could be the case.
One thing I wish Kuro would add to wuwa is some companion quests or events for the 4 star characters. I love playing Danjin but I’ve no attachment to her because of how little I know of her. Not talking about the repetitive dating quests of genshin but more like events where we get to know a bit more about the 4* characters
She was supposed to have one prior to cbt2 i think. including calcharo. i think their quest will come sooner or later. both danjin and calcharo appears in the current festival event at certain hours in the game so they're for sure aren't forgotten.
@@CMaxoknight31 I assume Calcharo will be introduced in 1.4 or most likely 2.0, purely because that's when we're getting a new nation and Calcharo isn't from Jinzhou
The 120 FPS cap and upcoming raytracing + dlss updates real set this game apart from the other gatchas imo. The realm of illusions already demonstrates the high level of quality in gameplay and visuals this game has to offer consistently.

I absolutely love WuWa. I come from being a day 1 Genshin/HSR player and sadly am in the "Genshin burnout" stage so WuWa’s release came at a perfect time for me. Did the game have a lot of bugs upon release? Sure did (I fortunately did not have as many) but did Kuro games actually listen to their player base and not only FIX said issues but then proceed to compensate for them? Absolutely. How many games not only give you a free 5 star unit within the first 10 days upon release, but then also have a 5 star choice banner not once but TWICE as well. The one thing I felt was a bit weak was the story but let me tell you that feeling was gone by 1.1 and the story has quite literally BLOWN ME AWAY 💣. WuWa’s current storyline makes Genshin’s look like child’s play and to say I’m in it for the long haul is an actual understatement.
Also day 1 genshin /hsr player, had over 3k hours and more than 100$ spent on game (value of dollar is fucked in my country it is 40 times more expensive to buy dollars) WW is just better, gameplay is smoother, fights are more fun, game is so much faster and story is better only lacking thing was OST which 1.3 have come through stronger saying all that if I close my eye to everything, WW devs makee wanna stay and play, most of my complaints with game have been genuinely fixed but with hoyo? I wrote for them 13 consecutive patches and nothing changed. I will stay and pay this devs cause they care about us.
Yin Lin go me into the game and ive been playing since 💀 Real talk , Ive been having a lot of fun playing recently , the game just feels like a breath of fresh air to me tbh
First and last real fan service of the game it seems. Well, not as if Kuro is or was the first to do that marketing trick. Guess we're in for more Genshin model like characters in the future. Or so it seems to me anyway.
As much as i hated the launch with how difficult it was to play, they shown MANY times they actually care and is trying. The game still ain’t perfect with certain issues but they do got a bright future , the only ones that are still praying on this game downfall is hoyo white knights. Let mfs enjoy what they want☠️
@@dislikebutton8979 Which is stupid, because Love and Deepspace is an otome game. I could see if Hoyo improved things for Tears of Themis because of LaDS, but Genshin and LaDS have two completely different audiences.
the release was rough yea, but all in all it has bacome and is still becoming a genuinely good game in my opinion. Devs take criticism seriously and care about whether or not players are happy with the game, which I and probably many others value a LOT. Combine that with good quality content, less rng than other gacha's on like banners and stuff, Echos BY THEMSELF making you able to DECIDE how long you want to play per day and so on. I heard someone say a while back "wuwa is a game first, gacha second" and I 100% agree. It's a good game I can genuinely recommend (if your pc is good enough LMAO) and is probably one of my all time favorites
also people should stop making everything about sales and look inwards. Wuwa is doing fine at the moment, I have no idea what everyone is saying with oMg It'S dEaD like stfu
-Good quality content Such as??? -Less RNG on a GACHA game Thats makes you happy? Im glad a thief just stab me instead of shooting me -Echoes no problem The problem is the tuners and exp my guy, also think about what you said about RNG again lol -WuWa is definitely Gacha first, game second lol If this quote is just based on the combat, then yall really are blind, I play both Genshin and WuWa and still have nothing to do after doing dailies 💀💀💀 yall praising like this is the most fun game ever made, if this is your first time gaming then Im really sorry for you. -Definitely recommend? really? Yeah just skip the story and go straight to gacha and do combat wow so fun
@@doommaker4000???? What argument are you trying to make??? Im F2P and its a free game??? Its predatory because there are people that actually spend money on this genre, the more you know~
I think that the 1.1 update was a big gamechanger basically fixing a lot of QOL problems and so on so forth. The game has a fairly good and committed playerbase which is great, even though a lot of players quit before the qol. I don't think we should compare each game (comparison is the killer of joy), especially since the revenue won't be the same between Hoyo that are a big and well-known company and Kuro, that don't have the same scale. I don't think it's a "game first gacha second" though, the gacha is still a big part of the game, but when you start you have a lot more options than I thought you'd have. I would agree on the echo part if it weren't even more random than other game's similar mechanics, but I guess if you wanna play a lot it does give you a reason to do so, it's valid.
I have more respect for Devs that are willing to stick with a game even after an underpar launch Regardless of your feelings toward wuwa, I doubt Kuro will give it the Concord treatment lmao
@@Puppetmaster2005 Ehhh, I don't think they're doing it only for the money. PGR their other game makes like no money yet they're so passionate about it and constantly improve and update it.
@@dislikebutton8979 to be fair pgr makes close to 1 mil a month solely from ios which is comparable to honkai impact which is great considering the dev cost for both games being very small
Wuthering Waves is quite similar to Warframe in a sense. Both game had a rough launch, both game have a really passionate teams, both game try to do what is the best for the players and both games were deemed as failure because couldn't overthrone the "tyrant" of their respective genre. So... Can't wait until WuWa will have its "Plains of Eidolon" moment. (Maybe 2.0? We'll see)
It's crazy how the game can be played on my sd855 s10e smoothly now. I really thought i might not play this game for a long time because genshin can't run on my phone well, even on lowest graphics. But right now, i don't know what magic they use. The game really runs a stable fps. Mild heating and no ping issue. Well done, kuro.
I hope... No actually i am begging kuro, please make a pgr collab. A lot of people haven't even seen how wild this game is and where kuro's potential lies
I think the main issue that plagues Wuwa is basically the mobile port being extremely wonky you either have luck that it works or you have a lag fest the optimization of the mobile version leaves a lot to be desired to this day and I say that as someone who plays daily on mobile since it's release if a gacha game doesn't catch mobile players the main platform for that genre it is rather rough it almost feels like mobile was more of an afterthought for Kuro and they brought it over there just cause this is definitely one of the reasons why people got heated imagine you were hyped for Wuwa and then it just doesn't work on your phone despite you meeting the system requirements Kuro named (which funny enough were extremely low starting from a SD 835 if you know you know) I have many friends who are interested in Wuwa but simply can't play because the lag makes the game unbearable so imo Kuro should really focus on the mobile side because that's currently the biggest gripe with Wuwa especially in Asia countries where mobile gaming is more common
And for me as someone who's have experience to play game with low fps I can say that WuWa right now get more optimize, I can feel the difference between it's first release with the current version
the only problem i have with wuwa, is that my hard drive can not run it, i have to use an ssd... maybe that's more the fault of the unreal engine then wuwa... i dont have that issue with genshin tho.. but i still play both games, i find both of them fun in there own right.
WuWa is a better Genshin to me. Genshin's story bored me and it felt like they did too much in it without a clear path. In WuWa it feels like there is a clear path and clear end game planned. In WuWa, you can actually build a character without spending weeks in a domain. In WuWa, you can actually GET standard characters without spending tons on the standard or losing a 50/50 (which makes the getting the character feel upsetting anyway). I was able to get three standard within my first week, which made me WANT to actually play more for the fun and not for fomo. It's insane how different I feel in WuWa than hoyo games.
ppl missing the point when they said wuwa died and failed doesn't mean they are ending service next week it means it failed and capitalizing and keeping the hype they had. they failed to comprehend why genshin grew so big. they come in 4 years late to the game and mess up the most important moment they had. their launch.
I dunno man i play both games and like boh of them but what i had to read from the begining of "WuWa will strike Genshin down easily" to now "WuWa is EoS" is just criminal. Both fanbases are toxic beyond help and have no real sight anymore then to hate on each other. I mean i can only hope most of all those haters are kids who just dont know better and think hating on something on the internet is cool cause u can work up other people with it...shame on both Fanbases...greetings: a true game enjoyer
You new to the gaming community? It’s pretty common for people to either shit on a new coming game cause they’re a fan of its competitor OR call it the killer of its competitor. Look at Deadlock ;) Genshin and Wuwa are both enjoyable and having them coexist is beneficial to everyone since they’ll continuously try to produce higher quality patches to retain and bring in newer players.
I'm fine with ppl hating the game like WeWe or GI even HSR or Zzz. But I just can't bear ppl that say shidt about the devs. They're the worst kind of ppl.

I think its just an issue with the tuners, im happy with the boss drops, 5 drops in one run, do boss for 2 days and youll have enough to max the character
The cost between things are definitely weird. Why does normal tasset fields cost as much as bosses? Everything being standard at 60 cost very expensive.

I love WuWa. I did take a small break from it, but when I came back & saw all the improvements, I was really impressed that they were adding UI + QOL changes so quickly, which are things that took YEARS for certain gacha games to implement. I agree in that it definitely makes one feel "heard" as a player, and encourages me to keep coming back. It's also super easy to rack up pull currency in the game. I'm sitting on over 12k Astrites just waiting for Camellya, and I haven't even completed everything in the game yet (though I am close, admittedly. I blasted through Mt. Firmament in like 2 days). Worth noting that I have Jiyan + his signature weapon, Yinlin + her sig, Jinhsi + her sig, and Changli + her sig...I've yet to lose a 50/50 on character banner, which has helped immensely, and the guaranteed weapon banner is SO nice! It really encourages players to pull on it imo. I had a login issue at launch, but I have a powerful computer, so I didn't have graphic issues...which is probably why I went so hard and kept at the game when many others were forced to quit. I hope those players will give the game another chance...the combat system is so fun, the character designs are beautiful, and the environments are really lovely.
It’s hilarious because what they call 'low' revenue is still millions of dollars. The devs and teams are celebrating their success and getting rich every month. No one cares, and revenue doesn't define the quality of the game..
@@youness4247 Perspective though: they spend millions developing the game. They still need to be profitable, but they're doing great even without attempting to compete for top market share WHILE still focusing on making a great game. That's a balance I can get behind.
I absolutely love this game. I was frustrated with the launch but I knew the game was going to be more my speed of game so i kept with it. I didn't care about all the free pulls and etc. The stories, world aesthetics and everything else is just more my speed than anything else avaliable and the actual style and artistic vision while still anime, feels more mature than a lot of the bigger gachas right now. People were right to drop the game after that launch and i had friends drop it cause they spent days unable to get in or when they did it just busted. For me sticking it out was the best thing cause i really adore this game.
@@MefoWho i say mature not meaning tragic. I do mean mostly art style though. Many of the anime gacha games out are very much on one side of the anime style spectrum. Wuwa is a nice middle ground stylistically with a darker atmosphere and color palette.
This game gave me faith in Chinese gacha devs Kuro is truly deserving of my respect and im grateful to them and how they aproach most things especially combat design and how they respect their playerbase edit 8:04 i hope they never change this aproach powercreep is just lazy game design that forces people to get characters that do damage rather than characters they enjoy
Genshin was that game for me. Sure, Mihoyo isn't perfect, but they DO listen. They just don't say much until something is actually ready (lvl 100 domains please). Even if the feedback isn't great... (ZZZ TVs) Not slandering Kuro in any way, both games are good
@@kwayke9 Genshin has to be the worst example to mention in this regard considering how much the community clowns on them for not doing so. Maybe if you said HSR you'd get a pass but not Genshin.
@@Honneylemz yeah, a lot of things players asked ended up in HSR first. And they could've been faster on a bunch of things (we should've gotten free standard 5*s starting in Fontaine imo, maybe even Sumeru). But I wouldn't say they've completely deaf either (also HSR has its issues as well)
No matter the effort, some will always hate Wuthering Waves, wishing for its end and mocking its struggles. They cling to failure like it’s their lifeline, but true dedication doesn’t break under their shallow spite.
If you lot didn't hail it as the end of genshin, and keep pretending every failure it has had in that regard somehow wasn't a failure maybe you wouldn't hear that so much. Genshin set a new standard, and wuwa failed to live up to that, and despite that you lot keep moving the goal posts. Keep pretending it is hurting gneshin. And keep acting like genshin or the genshin community are scared. So of course when you all act obnoxious like that, the fact wuwa doesn't come close to genshins numbers will be thrown in your face. Money wise, even on a hig patch for wuwa compared to a dead patch for genshin, genshin still doubles it. Twitch viewers? Wuwa is lucky to break 3k, even when this moon chasing event launched. Genshin has 3k at the most off times, and is normally over 6k. Hitting g over 20k with big releases like Nathan. And active monthly users, wuwa topped out at 5 million in 1.0, and has only gone down. Genshin stats steadily at 60 million, and has been there for years. "Yeah, but they aren't really growing, that number has been there forever." Sure. Wuwa is shrinking. But still, we could give wuwa it's highest growth rate, double it, and sustain it for 10 years. And it would still not reach the heights genshin is at. Stop coping.
@ellietomiko5405 they have a solid base from their previous game. And genshin came out swinging with numbers that blow wuwa away. Wuwa was said to be the genshin killer, and you just keep moving to goal posts. Wuwa has already started losing ground, it isn't regaining it. It won't fail, but it will never be competition to genshin. Stop coping.
The reason i dislike Hoyoverse is how blatantly lazy and predatory they are. The first red flag for me was the fact that Mona c1 bug is still not fixed to this date, yet they are always quick to fix any bug that benefits the player's experiences. Then that cheap crying show happened, no real promise about QOL improvement that people had been talking about since day 1 such as event rerun, not even a single specific deadline, just woe-is-me and some cheap crocodile tear. But hey i guess people who are not satisfied with the game are not "real travelers" to them, just like how some genshin stans would come after anyone who dare to speak ill about the game with pitchforks.
love the fact that we got 5 DPS released and they are all around the same power level (unless your name is Jinhsi). It makes the FOMO much more lower and the overall game much more fun
I love this game and glad I gave it a chance , it actually made me enjoy HSR and Genshin more because it's hard to run out of content to play when you play 3 gacha games lo
I tried playing on launch on mobile and it was a nightmare. Terrible input lag and just moving a character was unpleasant. Gave up on it. Maybe a week or two later installed on pc. Works marvelously to this day. I had quit already Genshin for over a year since it felt like a shore but I still enjoy some WW.
At least one game has amazing gameplay, world, story, writing, characters, OST, exploration, and events. The other has fallen to the depths of the abyss, and it keeps falling month after month (revenue for WuWa down 50% for August compared to July, and in July it had another massive drop compared to June), its player base is abysmal at this point compared to Genshin's, and no one cares to watch streams or even interact with content online.
have been playing since launch and was one of the lucky ones that didn't encounter serious bugs and honestly i have been really enjoying the game a lot and will keep playing it for a while. The combat is fun, fluid and feels soo impactful, the world and character designs are nice, the movement across the map is really good (doing exploration in genshin after playing wuwa sucks) and the writing/story started of slow but has been enjoyable with especially the changli and yinlin character quests being amazing. Love the game and kuro for trying the best they can to make it a great game
This whole community is just full of exaggerated hyperbole in general. Wuwa was never going to be the Genshin killer or realistically reach similar revenue numbers, but equally it was never going to be a failure either, yet somehow it feels like the gacha sphere expects people to take one extreme stance or the other. This game will survive and do just fine, even if it will never challenge Hoyo in terms of market influence or global popularity, and that's fine. Wuwa does have some pretty glaring issues that I wish Kuro would address but every gacha has its own share of problems.
There is literally someone I know who actually said "unsurprisingly it was gonna fall off" just cuz they made a lot less money this month, while ZZZ lost way more and that person didn't bat an eye.
THIS. It's doing solid for a gacha game but the fanbase is thorned between those that think kuro is the second coming of jesus or smth saying that it was gonna kill mihoyo games and hoyo white knights who tought it was doomed to fail regardless
@@azeemsiddiqui4764ZZZ is still topping ps5 charts so people aren’t worried about it. Wuwa on the other hand is on a downward spiral atm on mobile(not surprised) and PC is completely unknown
I’m amazed not a lot of people picked this up on the get go and got baited by certain CC’s pushing this narrative if u know who I’m pointing my fingers at. End of the day, WUWA has built a community good enough to sustain them and as long as they keep one upping themselves in quality patches; I’m sure it’ll gain more traction and whether it does or doesn’t surpass genshin doesn’t really matter (hard to believe it) except to the weird twitter users who roleplay forecast analysts looking at inaccurate depiction of revenues 😂
🤭 it’s ironic because theres this big dishonesty and delusion that people can’t accept. A lot did say WuWa and ZZZ were gonna fail… Well nope, look at where those games are now, both are just as good in the market for gacha games. Tribalisms is the only real problem, and playing all of them or a select few is possible.
I feel like watching Warframe all over again the game have bad launch and destined to be fail but the dev and supportive player base and community make that game survived
Warframe came back even harder when you consider it started really really bad for them (they had to fund the project themselves) And they still were not going hard on the microtransactions (no P2W). Honestly, that game success is crazy.
September is gonna be wild as WuWa would definitely earn way less than it did in August at least in mobile from 14M I can see it go as low as 7-8M or maybe even 5M lmao since Xiangli Yao is free. But does that mean the game is dying bec. it is bad or anything? Nope I loved the game even more, I just have no reason to spend yet as a low spender, imagine receiving a free limited 5* which is ridiculously good no strings attached? They might not earn much money in 1.2 but what they earned is my complete support and trust on how good Kuro handled things despite how small and inexperienced they are as a developer.
One thing people have REALLY FORGOTTEN, is that WuWa is yet another gacha game, and you can still play all the other gacha games out there. WuWa definitely works, it's fun, and garnered the intended audience for the game. It did have a rough start, no questions asked. Although I for one would like to encourage everybody to drop their tribalisms for a moment. At the end of the day, what's more important is hoyo games, WuWa, or other gachas are just meant to have fun.

Game is gorgeous AF. Color palette, location designs, characters are such an eye candy. And combat system is snappy and fun. WuWa is just a good game in general. It will feel good even compared to traditional AAA games.
I play genshin, hsr, and wuthering waves, the one thing I feel like the most promiment mostly on genshin and wuthering waves is that it feels like you have to do a gacha on genshin to be able to access things like being able to TP dash, go up walls, swing etc OPEN world, including everywhere too. Whereas wuthering waves gives you those kinds of abilities for free without having to go ahead and gacha you know? like you have to pay to be able to access "content" unlike wuwa where it is given. That's just me and what it felt like playing the two games.
While WuWa has great potential, I had to quit for my sanity. A lot of its problems are system issues. Shit camera, shit targeting system(actually the worst I've experience), higher latencies basically making parry an unreliable mechanic, and already the beginnings of having so much particle effects that it blocks what enemies are doing. I'll probably look back in 6 months to decide if I want to pick it up again.
The camera just kinda fine at first but then they randomly made it worse during 1.1 or 1.2 idk. Now you CANNOT move the camera during some attacks. The targeting system is just as bad The whole parry system is trash. It would have been better to have a dedicated button for that. Now you’re either waiting for it or you’re spamming everything you can and hope it works because some attacks can parry, others can’t. It’s so bad
I'm one of those people that got discouraged because it was unplayable. I not only upgraded for Windows 10 for this game, bit also upgraded my pc to 16GB RAM for it...didn't a lot, but it helped. I never had issues running games, so this one's a first. Wasn't until the latest DirectX12 patch, the game finally feels fully playable without the massive stutters and hiccups. I have faith in this game, and I'm rooting for them AS A GENSHIN FAN. This game has a lot of potential, people just need patience.
Let me tell you all one thing. Learn to "deal with it". Trust me, no matter what we do, even if it is right. There are always people who judge us. The same with WuWa, the gacha system overall is the best thing i have ever experienced in all gacha. But, people will obviously judge, bec its threatening to the old gacha we know that is bad, and makes them feels bad bec they are wasting money or time in that bad gacha system.
For me the reason why it didn't end up in a total collapse like ToF is that, although the players liked to call it the "Genshin Killer" the devs never tried to develop the game with that approach, is a game that takes the exploration from Breath of the Wild, some mechanics from Genshin and even the QTE's from Honkai Impact and improves it. The game never tried to copy Genshin and tried to make an original game taking of course inspiration from other games. Also, the devs REALLY love the game, this is something that we can no longer see in Genshin, but the devs from KuroGames really love their game, they listen to every comment and try to improve things to make the game even more interesting. Patch 1.3 and they have already added things that for Genshin players took 3 years
PGR and WuWa offers gameplay. If they don't like getting demolished by enemies to get resources to upgrade units or currency to get more units, then it's not for them. There's enough playerbase for games that offers high-difficulty gameplay. Since most gacha-games are easy, it's safe to say that WuWa and PGR will stay for those hardcore players.
I don't know man. Performance issues aside, the worldbuilding, character writing and soundtrack just don't hit the spot for me. Maybe I just had high expectations coming from Punishing Gray Raven, knowing what Kuro Games are really capable of. I don't want the game to fail, I want it to improve. Maybe 2.0 will do the trick for me. Fingers crossed.
I think PGR also was a little disappointing story-wise at first like the first 8 chapters was a rough start to the story and I saw a lot of people recommending skipping them and watching a recap.
I think it probably take a few months. I did dropped PGR few times because I can't get into earlier until I push through the story to chapter 8. Then I was like mindblown😂, the story despite have no voice it was getting good with more compact wording. Sorry to say that they did not do like Hoyo, like they keep telling everything to players instead of showing or let us guess by ourself. Kuro know what players want.
Actually wuwa supposed to be a darker game than what it is right now but.... CBT1 testers and most of Chinese of them complained that the story was dark and they won't play it if it stays this dark and actually kind of forced them to change 90% of the story. Now personally what I saw in yt about cbt1 the story was not that much good but yeah the environment matched with the storyline so i wished that they will change the storyline slightly and keep the dark environment but.... Anyway knowing kuro since PGR the more bright it'll show the more dark it'll get later one also 'kuro' means dark
@@aboaref9083 yeah, after enjoying wuwa I really want to try PGR and when I asked veterans, they gave me recommendations and also said the exact same thing, if I survive the first 8 chapters I'll never leave PGR, they're right. I have a blast playing PGR and wuwa, plus Arknights are my top gacha games
Same. After HSR the story and characters in WuWa feel cliche and quite dull. I wonder how Kuro will fix the story, but maybe this game is just not for me.
It may not have gotten me to stay, but I'm happy to see that Wuthering Waves is doing well! I still keep up with news through friends and fellow streamers and it looks like things are getting better and better. Happy gaming, everyone! ;)
I’ve really enjoyed my time with WuWa, but the mobile app crashes constantly and I beat the boss of the first story section with my laptop chugging along at about 5 fps. When the PS5 version comes out, I’ll be all over it, but until then I’m kind of hands off
Wuwa isnt gonma beat genshin in sales immediately if ever. Kuro is so grnerous it isnt necessary to spend 100s of dollars to get the experie w you want
8:14 “Rather than powercreep ever single character or lock certain content behind new characters…” Ah yes, I’m looking at you nightsoul blessing and 5.0 artifact sets (genshin)
I'm not really fan of open world games, but WuWa is one exception cause the movement is really enjoyable, and the combat is amazing especially since I enjoyed HI3 and PGR and I just find exploring the world even without any objectives very satisfying because of said movement and combat. Also because Yinlin and Changli exists and If they make a character in WuWa that has similar vibes to Alpha from PGR (Abby's true form? Lmao) then it'll be perfect!
When pgr never made it to the top of the revenue list, I wondered how the game could be called a dead game and how they were getting better every year 😂
I think Wuthering Waves is a really good game with passionate Dev team and that makes me happy. I just wish they would give us more characters so I could spent my first $100 to show my support for them.
i played genshin and hsr and between ZZZ and Wuwa, i decided to play this as my 3rd and last gacha and im glad i played and stick with Wuwa. Keep up the good work kuro devs. Altho idk what to do when NTE comes out.
Out of all the gacha games, this is the only one that I still log in daily to play. I will continue to play the story in HSR, but don't really care too much about the endgame anymore. I think what it comes down to is that I have not wanted to skip a single character in this game yet. Every move set is so flashy that I want to pull every character. I also find completing ToA and Holograms with all the different characters to be super engaging so it encourages me to continue grinding every thing that I can so I can keep up. I often have to swap my sub-dps around based on the buffs for each tower, which keeps the gameplay fresh as each team combo plays slightly differently. Overall, the endgame content and gameplay is just plain fun, which is all it really takes.
As someone that played pgr I’m not surprised they went above and beyond for the fans in wuwa definitely love how they try to keep the community happy and so happy to experience the game on ps5 when it releases so I can stop playing on my phone lol Definitely hyped for next patch and the new area and after that patch my girl is finally coming out probably s6 her just like I did with my queen changli I truly believe wuwa have a bright future and I was on the side that was so excited for years to try this game so I’m happy it’s doing good :D
I was that stuborn guy saying tower of fantasy is one od the best games ever but wuthering waves is only game that changed my mind. This game is incredible and anyone calling themselfs a GAMER should try this game otherwise they are missing time of their life.
Xiangli Yao got me back to WuWa because he’s so cute 🥰 I liked seeing the improvements in their game ❤ their cutscenes and world design is very beautiful I especially love the snowy mountain region absolutely stunning 😊
As a lover of open world, and a longtime Genshin player, I don’t think Wuwa will fail. It’ll only get better. I’ve already committed to it lol. Just hope the connection is better. But, I’ll be patient, the devs are working hard, and I don’t want them dropping into eternal sleep cuz of lack of rest.
finally, a wuwa content that's not glazing (maybe youtube algorithm messed with me). praising kuro for their efforts while also still remind us the game still has things to fix. i've played many live service games, its always better for the community to always point out the game's problem instead of glazing it and ignoring the problem. it will lead us to a much better game that way. i played many buggy games at launch, i can confidently say kuro is one of those devs who fix bugs and crashes the fastest while also adding some features. but we could argue bugs should not happen in the first place. i've been playing wuwa on mobile since launch and my experience is bad but i'm willing to stay and see how the game changes in the future. console release hopefully soon.
Wuthering Waves is an absolute gem! I love their mature themes, chinese cultural references, storytelling, CN VAs, combat mechanics, generosity, gameplay; honestly it feels refreshing playing it!
I swear this is the nerdiest I've ever been in my life but the picture in 1:12 is not a memory leak, it's just wuwa being very bad at optimizing loading resources. Memory leak is when RAM is not cleared due to program loosing reference to the data it stored, so it keeps on taking memory, therefore "Memory" tab is 100%. Other than that, good one as always!
Had a laptop with laptop 4080 and while that picture isnt mem leak, it was certainly an issue. I experienced it, would either crash or turn into stuttering waves at 1 fps. Watched my vram slowly go up till it hit 100%
This game will definitely find its audience. Personally, I didn't like it for a number of reasons: - setting (a cringe fusion of Chinese fantasy, post-apocalypse, and Genshin) - a very weak plot. In the same Genshin and HSR the plot is much more developed, I'm not talking about Honkai Impact 3 - there the plot and development of characters is on a completely different level. - combat copied from Honkai Impact 3, and poorly copied - character design. It seems that the level of detail is better than in Genshin or HSR, but at the start of the game I didn't find a single character that I would really want to get. These developers are clearly bad at implementing the waifu factor. - too many Chinese names and titles. The game is clearly not made for a global audience, but for China. - the same boring daily activities as in Genshin. If there is one Genshin, why do I need a second one? Yes, the game is not a 100% clone, but conceptually it is a kind of mixture of Genshin, HSR, and Honkai Impact 3. - there were also some technical problems on release, in the first 3 days of the game I encountered more bugs than in 3+ years of playing Genshin.
They literally fixed the Game, I was not able to play on release because of fps drops and very low fps even on low settings, Idk what they did now it's giving me proper stable fps on same machine
At the start, WuWa was fine for me but now I don't know - it really doesn't have any events that caught my interest at the moment. I mostly just log in, do dailies and head out. My two opinions about WuWa is that 1. There is nothing that interests me at the moment. No new quests, No new events that are good, No new region, etc. For me, right now - it's very slow. 2. WuWa is superior combat wise but it severely lacks in storytelling and EN voice acting is a bit weird.
That’s sort of how ur supposed to play live update games, play when there’s update. You’ll avoid burnout too, probably. I don’t want to feel chained to a game so I like it when I can juggle between many games
@@EyelessAugust I'm comparing it with like Genshin or other live update games - in those regards, WuWa is extremely slow. I don't play everyday even with Genshin, I only do the main stories whenever I have the time (I still haven't even done Fontaine yet because I'm so busy) but with WuWa, there literally is nothing - at least Genshin had another region unlocked in 1.1 so there was more story added until 2.0 when Inazuma was released.
@@ichmood12 bro 5.0 is like what? that's 3-4 years in the making - which is the normal amount of time frame for a game to reach version 5.0 especially with Genshin who has a huge amount of storytelling and region to unlock. even then, least they have interesting events here and there AND a good storytelling
7:17 I was one of the 3 players who asked them to add this exact thing in one of their surveys they sent out. Lo and behold they add it next patch. I felt so seen. Night and day compared to a certain other gacha game, lol. (PS try using the hoverdroid shooter for mining ores, it is so useful)
I hope Kuro continues to listen to player suggestions. My top requests are auto-equip weapon/echo load outs per character/team & being able to syntonize anywhere.
I think people tend to forget that this game is also on PC (and soon to be on PS5) but everyone always just looks at mobile revenue/playerbase and assumes the games health based on that...

It's insane how much better Wuwa is than every other competitor in terms of core gameplay. Like playing Genshin after it is actually painful and is only saved by everything that isn't related to gameplay

You're right! Open communication and sending fixes/patches asap was the best way to handle the situation. Kuro chose the right move.
They had to do that, if you remember the game was almost unplayable on release, if they would not have fixed it asap the game would have been dead on arrival. Still don’t understand how they had to release an „unfinished“ game like that.

Not even a year into the game and we already know more about rover compared to the mc of the other game? Im really excited for 1.3 story

WW is just better, gameplay is smoother, fights are more fun, game is so much faster and story is better only lacking thing was OST which 1.3 have come through stronger saying all that if I close my eye to everything, WW devs makee wanna stay and play, most of my complaints with game have been genuinely fixed but with hoyo? I wrote for them 13 consecutive patches and nothing changed.
I will stay and pay this devs cause they care about us.

the release was rough yea, but all in all it has bacome and is still becoming a genuinely good game in my opinion.
I have more respect for Devs that are willing to stick with a game even after an underpar launch

I wish for bambinata to join collab 😂
I guess that's what happens if you use Unreal Engine developed games in mobile
Who plays Wuwa on mobile?
the only problem i have with wuwa, is that my hard drive can not run it, i have to use an ssd... maybe that's more the fault of the unreal engine then wuwa... i dont have that issue with genshin tho.. but i still play both games, i find both of them fun in there own right.

I'm sitting on over 12k Astrites just waiting for Camellya, and I haven't even completed everything in the game yet (though I am close, admittedly. I blasted through Mt. Firmament in like 2 days).
How many hours do u play???? Chilll!!!
I think one nice thing is that Kuro’s own measure of success isn’t just profitability. They genuinely want to make good games.
For me sticking it out was the best thing cause i really adore this game.
i wonder what big gacha youre talking about, because most of them have alot of tragic shit. If you only mean the artstyle then understandable
@@MefoWho i say mature not meaning tragic. I do mean mostly art style though. Many of the anime gacha games out are very much on one side of the anime style spectrum. Wuwa is a nice middle ground stylistically with a darker atmosphere and color palette.
This game gave me faith in Chinese gacha devs
Kuro is truly deserving of my respect and im grateful to them and how they aproach most things especially combat design and how they respect their playerbase
edit 8:04 i hope they never change this aproach powercreep is just lazy game design that forces people to get characters that do damage rather than characters they enjoy
IMO it's the korean devs that are truly greedy. The amount of dark pattern and over monetization in their games are on another level.
Genshin was that game for me. Sure, Mihoyo isn't perfect, but they DO listen. They just don't say much until something is actually ready (lvl 100 domains please). Even if the feedback isn't great... (ZZZ TVs)

Love the game and kuro for trying the best they can to make it a great game
Wuthering waves became one of my favorite games. and changli is one of my favorite characters.

True dude. Theres so much tribalism in these communities. Like ffs even the comment section has so much glazing and shilling its fucking astonishing
@@toxis5232 Yep, it's fucking sad from all sides and just make each game/community look just as bad the ones they are hate

October/November revenue about to pop tf off with Shorekeeper and Camellya banners though

Yeah, don't worry man. These devs apparently are really cool so, eventually they'll fix those problems
You just gotta adapt to it
*Insert Mahogara theme*
bro but camellya drops on 1.4 🤓☝️
right..they had to do something that fps drop before GTA 6 😂
The camera just kinda fine at first but then they randomly made it worse during 1.1 or 1.2 idk. Now you CANNOT move the camera during some attacks. The targeting system is just as bad
The whole parry system is trash.
I love wuwa! It’s so fun to play and u can play it in different styles
I regularly play WuWa until my hands hurt and even still anytime I see footage of the game I have the urge to launch it.
Same. After HSR the story and characters in WuWa feel cliche and quite dull. I wonder how Kuro will fix the story, but maybe this game is just not for me.

Also because Yinlin and Changli exists and If they make a character in WuWa that has similar vibes to Alpha from PGR (Abby's true form? Lmao) then it'll be perfect!

These are all valid points that make me respect the devs and game even though I don’t really gel with WuWa myself and have stopped playing.

Personally, I didn't like it for a number of reasons:
- setting (a cringe fusion of Chinese fantasy, post-apocalypse, and Genshin)
- a very weak plot. In the same Genshin and HSR the plot is much more developed, I'm not talking about Honkai Impact 3 - there the plot and development of characters is on a completely different level.
- combat copied from Honkai Impact 3, and poorly copied
- character design.

At the start, WuWa was fine for me but now I don't know - it really doesn't have any events that caught my interest at the moment. I mostly just log in, do dailies and head out. My two opinions about WuWa is that
1. There is nothing that interests me at the moment. No new quests, No new events that are good, No new region, etc. For me, right now - it's very slow.
2. WuWa is superior combat wise but it severely lacks in storytelling and EN voice acting is a bit weird.
