There is a guy on here that repositioned the rear upper links to adjust the anti-squat. Most of the torque twist comes from the links. If you can create less link separation (distance between the lower and upper linl) you get more anti-squat helping prevent twist. Paired with the vitavon sway bar, this thing will be gold.
I know this video is old but wanted to say it’s a good upgrade …I’ve done the same on my baja rey and made a world of improvements. I recently got a hammer rey on sale and can’t wait to start upgrades.. locking the rear diff and center diff are the first things I’ll do….then a rear sway bar…I found locking the center diff on my baja rey keeps the front end from ballooning tires bad and spinning just one front tire like mad.
I put a 13t pinion & dual fans on the stock set up & it rips... I also put the hot racing turnbuckles for some toe out & put ear plugs in the rear diff.. which i will probably get the locker now watching your vudeo 👍
Once I get my new hw setup I'll go with a 15 or 16 tooth with the sensored 2400kv motor! The locker is worth it, even though straight line performance kinda goes down.
The place under the bridge would be awesome for some U4RC racing.. the rocks and the soft dirt. The place is Gold, where is this at? OH, and yest DAD reflexes where slow! I was like, is he going to save his son?" hahahahaaha. Great video!
This is in Helendale California. It's the perfect place for bashing, racing, crawling, and flying! I'm lucky to have such an awesome place to rip! Yes, that would be sick, the U4 racing. Haha yeah, the reflexes were a little late but hey, saved him lol.
did you see its on sale for $300 until the 25th. Iam going to get one, my green one iam going to modify and keep the red one stock(new one) at that price I cant say no. even as parts vehicle it would save in the long run. stock parts are way over priced.

Thanks! I see vitavon has 2 different lockers. One for just the hammer Rey and one for the hammer Rey and another truck 🤔. When you upgrade to HW are you going to go with the quicrun se or pro? (1800kv vs 2300kv)
@@RCnurse my gears in the diff housing was worn out, I replaced them and filled with LM2 CASTROL grease, did few punches now on 3s and seems to be holding, the cogging is irritating though
@@RCnurse thank you for the help, today I am doing the middle diff, I see that some sticky resin is around that section, my baja rey has the old red motor fuze not the firma system, looks so awful cheap like surpass hobby,I want to go ahead and get the hw max 10 3200kv 140a g2, will that be sufficient.this truck actually behaves more like a trophy truck than my slash 4x4 vxl or senton 3s

Wow, greatest video I've seen of the Hammer Rey. Long wondered if I should get one, but now Im convinced. The rear locker that did the tick.

The hammer Rey was my first losi and I love it! Drives great. Only thing is the steering was super loose out the box.

It definitely needs a tougher sway bar. I think that's the next item I'll get on it.

I'm not sure. I use marine grease. Prevents corrosion, and sticky.
