- Опубліковано 5 жов 2024
- from www.warbeats.com : Most people use the FL Slicer on drum beats because it can chop them up real nice but I like to use it for some creative sample chopping. Just load a loop and go at it.
This man is teaching stuff for free that you'd pay hundreds of for to learn in a class room. I'm happy that he's thoroughly showing us every little detail. I'm learning so fast.
I'm glad that your tutorials are longer. Wanna know why? Because you actually go into detail about what you're talking about, unlike most tutorials out there that show you what to do without explaining anything. Props to you man!
i like how this guy actually takes the time to explain everything
Mate you're a legend I was havin a huge task tryin to separate the backing vocals in an instrumental from the actual instruments since they're blended together, and this just really helped me. Your videos are ace.
this man taught me how to use the program in depth
Even though NFX takes longer, he is on point. I enjoy watching his tutorials because of this, PATIENCE and I have learnt alot. Infact, I subscribed to his site just because of these tutorials and I am very grateful to God that somene like this exist. So for you inpatient guys, learn to be patient. Pete Rock, Primo or whoever big producers will never dish out secrets like this. Word to the wise. Thanks again NFX.
Very good lesson, I really appreciate this. I am just starting to get deep into FL studio after coming from an all hardware setup and I am loving it so far. This makes things so much easier!
Great tutorial! I understand the FL slicer so much better now. And as a bonus, you showed me how to use the quantizer! Thanks!
the best fl studio tutor on the net. period.
Thanks a lot NFX. I dont know where the hell Id be without your tutorials.
This is such a great tutorial i just went from knowing nothing about sampling...to making sick chops...definitely don't need to buy an mpc now thanx a milly wb!!!
Thanks :)
You really helped me out. I want to become a musician...one day.
But it's a looooong way and you just helped me to make another step.
thanks man for ages ive spent hours chopping samples up in adobe and loading them up in FL. 10/10
This is Truncated Madness at the maximum. This is the format I definitely implement. Totally obliterate the wave then shuffle it like a deck of cards. Looping is like microwaving store bought pancakes. Chopping samples is cooking from scratch.
i love ur vids bruv you have basicly taught me everything i know, its like having my own personal tutor thank u
good stuff
i used to use fl slicer with complete tracks and it would sound just ok
so i wanna thank you for pointing out that it's better the take a loop and then load it on slicer
thaaaaaanks alot i learn more than 1 video from u than 1 year practicing alone
thanks dude so very helpful keep doin what you do we the novices of fl appreciate you!
thanks very much! i'm sure i'll be back for more of your tutorials.
i hope you know your awesome for taking the time to do these tutorials for FREE, some people try to charge, but you do it because you like too...keep them comning...i feel sharing knowledge shouldnt be charged
i wish nfx would make tutorials on how to use the mpc. that would be too much because there isn't best tutor than nfx who actually take his own time and will to explain things about fl studio in a way that is just clear. thank you nfx
Nice tutorial. I did tis manually in Audicity, with Video Game music like Vectorman and Sonic 3, but This seems simple, I'll have to try it some time.
kudos man....now thats a proper tutorial.
this video made my life so much easier
Thats right
Like style of sampling man, keep up the hard work man!
Thx for the tutorial. This should help me out in the future.
nice, i'm trying to learn how to chop up soul songs and make soulful hip-hop beats sort of like kanye west :D great tutorial, taught me the basics! i still need to learn how to get the drums in line with the sample
Is a wrap now cant wait to go home a create
wow, my sampling game probably went way high haha thnx dude
very helpful man! thx alot
greetz from belgium
Wow, Thank you very much! I was wondering how in the world could I do this.
Really great tutorial. TY, man!
yeah this is an awsome tutorial !!!thank you
THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN YOU HELP A TON
great tutorial, thanks and billy preston is sick, what you did there was bad bad stuff. what were you using for drum samples? they sound great.
the man rules
learnd so mutch, ty
Freaking awesome. Thank you!
yeah, whenever u finish ur project just save it & then export it. after that u can do whatever u want with it...
@linkinparkMikeShinod he had set up his midi-keyboard, got it all connected and so on, then you can hit the record-button, next to the pause & play-buttons. then choose "automation & Score" on the shit that is popping up. then you can hear a countdown. if it is a 8-bars beat it will cound 8 times then it starts recording, then you are just doing your thing. after the 8-bars beat is over the chopping u did is in the piano roll where u chooped it.
Amazing, thanks helped alot.
i love your tutrials
thanks men
@ThtOneAsianKid Depends on the sound you're looking for. If you're not into sampling, you will need some kind of instrument kits to get started. Drums of course to start with. Just google free drum kits or free hip hop sounds or whatever it is you're looking for. Also be prepared to spend some money. It's an expensive hobby and if you're serious about it, it could cost a few dollars before it's all said and done. Good luck!
I was wondering if you had a tutorial where you can show us how to install chopped samples from Fruity Slicer into the AKAI MPD32.
Those are channels zipped... you can zip channels to provide a better view of your work space.
How do you minimize the channels in the pattern? BTW great tutorials, thanks a LOT! :)
nice video got a question bro
how did u record your melody from the slicer to the piano roll?
@JAYCZero You gotta loop it first, I had the same problem But I managed to loop the song and then it went into the Fruity slicer correctly
use ur keyboard but u have to change the buffer settings sometimes
Try clicking on a channel... and if I am not mistaking (cause I've only tried it once or twice) you have to hit Ctrl+Z
PLEASE COME BACK NFX !!!!!!!
Good tutorial!
If you want to hear a really mind-blowing chopping, listen to "Surgical Gloves" by Raekwon.
The Alchemist sampled "Castle Walls" by Styx, and totally changed it! one of the best beats!
great tutorial as always
but i have a problem..when i open a sample in the slicer it doesn´t chop it. it stays in a single row. is it a file conversion problem? i use cool edit pro for samples and save them as .wav
thanks
How do you just magically delete the piano roll data and record your own pattern over instead? A little more explanation would be helpful.
where did you get that bass sample? it sounds so sick
how do u chop ur smples to have them turned into the step sequencer so each button plays the chop with out it playing it all thru every time u light a button.its overlapping and doesnt play each chop seperately
Love you.
thanks mate good one
i use fl slicer all the time but the problem i seem to have is when i put on the "play to end feature" and hold down the key for a while that sample starts to get choppy...do you know how i can fix that?
Very helpfull and inpiring
Fruity Loops, is there nothing it can't do? I downloaded Sonar recently (because its mandatory in my Audio Engineering program), but I find FL Studio to be much-much better.
Am I crazy?
What buttons did you press to remove the Piano Roll data so quickly? I like to know how to do little things like that.
Thank you brow
please can you tell me how you started recording when you were playing the notes of the sample you wanted
when I load a sample into the slider and press play it plays the sample insanely fast, what am i doing wrong?
i have a problem some how i changed the settings to where i play a note from my keyboard it doesnt go straight to the piano roll lik it should how can i swith that back
under the time there is play stop and record (the circle-singn)
yes there is, midi wise it acts like and controller.
What I want to know is, if there is a possibility to play parts of a loop for example an octave lower. Could somebody answer me?
THIS WAS TIGGGGHT
how do you chop it up yourself? as in move the markers to where ever you want them to be? is that possible?
Thanks Daddy Warbeats!! You're so grand!!
so how did he record the chopped sample?? play the beat and press record?
@Blikkx click the \/ top left of the window (say piano roll) >tools>quantize
youtube fl tutorials always leave how to match sample tempo to sequencer drum tempo.. if you happen to find a video that explains both, send it my way homie... thank you
great!
is there a way to export the chop's that i made in edison or slicex directly to the fpc pad without the drag and drop..i mean if is there a way to automatic export the chop's that i just made in edison pls..pls tell me is there is a way...
i do excaclty the same steps with loads of samples and seriously they dont add up :S
Thanks bro genius
how do you match the tempo of your sample with the temp of the drums so it isnt off?
howd u get that skin in fl?!?! or is that an old fl
thanks alot nfx
So how do we save this chops ..individually etc..
when i add a sample to the slicer and press on the piano nothing happens, anyone know what im doing wrong?
does anyone know why i cant have the slicer and another plugin, such as the fpc, open at the same time?? please help
I am having a problem with my fruity slicer
Basically I am getting this annoying buzz noise coming from chops that are located in my fruity slicer channel I don't know what the deal is
When I press play (in pattern or song mode) there is this noise like its skipping or glitching lol and I have no idea where it is coming from. its f*****g up the songs I am working on
Anybody run into a similar situation or have any ideas about what could be the problem?
appreciate it.
Thanks, but i refered to the audio he recorded to d playlist..
thank you
No slicer!? damn you demo version!
wheres a good place to get samples/loops online?
i belive its ctrl z or some other letter
How can I record as he did ????????????
